In spite of a 6.5 being my regular size, this pair felt at least a 1/2 size shorter. Overall fit - not so comfortable.

I really wish that the all weather came in a wide. I'm going to have to deal with this version for the ultra I'm doing. It makes me sad that altra doesn't offer the width of the past in more versions.

These Altra Footwear Lone Peak All-Wthr Low have some arch support, fit most of my foot, I like the look, the cushion of the foot bed feels good. My only issue is that they are far too tight across the base of the toe! I have 2 other pairs of Altras, and really like the fit and the roomy toe box, but this particular style is way too snug across the front of my foot! If you have dainty small feet with low arch/instep these shoes might work for you.

The toe and forward area of the foot feels very good width-wise but too much room overall in that area. Length fine. I would recommend my first purchase but not this one.

Some Altra fit my foot better than others and these are too roomy in the toe. I have a very narrow foot and there is way too much space in these. Also, one shoe makes a noise as all that material bends when I step. I really wanted to like these because I love other Altra shoes and I need a pair of waterproof shoes. Need to keep looking.

Love the grip for trail hiking, walking and running, on all surfaces. I had to return because my heal slips. I have bunions and need the wide toe box but have a narrow heal. Salomon are always my shoe of choice, but sometimes the grip is not good enough and the forefoot is too narrow. This shoe and heal slippage could be fixed if they used shoe lace holes and added one further up. I am going to order the non weather resistance, because of the ability to lace up higher... hope these work
I'd also recommend:

The foot is to wide. I wore these trail running and hiking in AZ and got terrible blisters to my big toes.

I've purchased several pairs of Lone Peak waterproof shoes through the years and I liked them very much, even if they broke down too quickly. These new ones have strangely long, round laces that seem comic. The shoe hits higher on the inside of my ankle, so now I'm trying to make them fit with inserts, which I did not have to do with my other Altras. I think they have more padding, which might not be a terrible thing, but they don't have the same feel as I walk. My other Altras had a certain sound when I walked in them and it's missing from these (a very esoteric point, I admit). I'm not sure if I will keep them. I'd like to find some older versions on line if possible because I do like to have some level of waterproofing for my hiking shoes.

These shoes are not solid. The gore tex rip after less then 200km. 2 months after I bought them, they rip at the top near the big toe patch. So it's not waterproof anymore.

Loved these shoes but they started ripping by the toe after 6 months of use. This is very disappointing for a shoe that is so incredibly expensive. Otherwise they are a great trail runner.

I was so excited about this hiking shoe. It is actually wide and has almost enough support in toe box. However after 8 months I now have holes where the netting broke on top of the shoe on both feet at the toe box. Too expensive to be not functional after 8 months and only about 20 times worn ( for walks no more that a few miles at a time).

I wear these in the winter but they don't keep me feet dry in wet snow let alone puddles. Traction in snow is very good.

I love this shoes, I've use them in 3 ultras, but unfortunately they started to rip on the top where the toes bend, In less than 6 months. If it wasn't for that I'd of give them a 5 stars. I wish I the warranty was longer

I run trails year round, and right now there is plenty of snow. Why, on the winter shoes would you take away the gaiter trap?!?! How are you supposed to keep snow out? They feel big and sloppy as well.

This is my fifth or sixth pair of Altras. I *love* the way they fit. This pair, however, fell apart after only about 6 weeks, just walking around my neighborhood (no running, no trails). The fabric in the back of the heel pulled out of the seam where it meets the e-vent material. Frustratingly, Altra customer support said that this was "normal wear and tear" and won't honor the warranty. Much as I love wearing the shoes, I can't justify buying them every month or two!

I can't recommend these shoes. They feel wide and my foot slides around in them. They also have ripped on the top with very little use, letting water in. I had one pair, experienced this issue and customer service offered a replacement. I thought maybe I got a defective pair so I got the same shoe again, only for them to rip in the same place. Customer service was great and again offered a replacement, but this time I went with the Superior 5. In short, not a good shoe, but great customer service.

This is my 3rd pair of the Lone Peak RSM/AllWthr and I am disappointed with the lack of gaiter points and the toe box seems larger. Bought the same size all 3 times. Please bring back the gaiter points! Was there a significant change in the last for this shoe? Totally loved the first 2, but these are disappointing. :-((((

Some people said it feels more narrow. I think it runs true to the wide toe box. My last pair were a 9 and those are big in the new model, had to go to 8.5. I was gutted at the loss of the gaiter trap which was amazing, but what's worse for me is the loss of the heel locking holes. Ugh. Really?! Not sure what they were hoping to accomplish in the 6 but I hope they listen to their core customer base and go back to the basics.

As a big fan of my Timp 3, I expected the same fit with the Lone Peak and it is much looser on me and I get twinges of pain when I wear it for more than a few hours. It is so disappointing that you don't have consistent sizing.

My old Lone Peak RSMs wore out, so I got these to replace them without looking to closely. I am so disappointed that they got rid of the gaiter trap. Something about the way I walk/hike, I always end up sand or rocks in my shoes, so the trail gaiters are a must for me when hiking if I don't want to stop every mile. Why on earth would Altra get rid of the gaiter trap?! I really hope they bring it back in the next version update.
