The shoe is narrow than the previous pairs I have purchased in the same size.

I was so excited for this shoe. I liked everything about it except the instep had a weird rub on the inside of the front of my arch with every step.

I've owned 7 pairs of Altras never had an issue with the width until this pair. My feet are wider than the sole of the shoe. I buy Altras because I have wide feet, disappointed for the first time.

Life long runner and have purchased for myself and family probably 25+ pairs of Altra Running shoes over the years. I bought these for early and late season golf for both the traction and the water resistance figuring they would stand up to occasional wet grass. Wrong - my feet are soaked after a morning of walking on grass wet from dew, not rain. Though comfortable, it's an absolute waste of money to buy the "all weather" because these do not deliver the performance implied. Normally I don't mind paying good money for quality, which Altra usually is, but that's why these are such a letdown.....

Not much about this show is a step up from the last one. I wore the last ones religiously and they were hands down the best boot I've ever owned and then you came out with this. Won't buy again.

Like some improvements the improvements, lacing and stitching... but you've now killed for me with the narrow mid section - unless maybe you plan to come out with a wide (2E) version??? I've worn all variety of Lone Peaks back to 3.0 and mid section width was never an issue, other stuff but not mid width. It sure is now. Please fix it w/o breaking anything else?

I have two pairs of Olympus 4's and I LOVE them for trail running and thru-hiking. I wanted these because of the waterproofing but the sizing is way off. Narrower and at least a half size smaller! Ugh

I'll start by saying that these are more comfortable than most heavy boots but Altra definitely missed the boat on maintaining the wide toe box that made them so popular. The toe box are wider than most but they definitely taper inward at the big toe.
The biggest complaint I have is the awful crunching cheap, loud plasticy sound when I walk! It is the most bizarre and liud sound I've ever heard a shoe make. I'll upload a video. That is the shoe making the sound. Crazy.
I'm going to wear them around the house for a couple hours to see if it goes away but I doubt it. The material they used for the outer is a weird semi rigid mostly flexible plastic that's just noisey!

I love the fit, comfort, and color. however along the outside of the right foot where the sole meets the shoe there is a pinhole that lets water in. So I can't use them at all in the winter

Shoes are comfortable but they do not hold up. I've had them for 4 months with light use and the soles are becoming unglued. Apparently this is a pretty common issue. Altra says that they have a warranty coverage of 300-500 miles and these shoes have not seen that. I wear them at work (office job) and they have definitely not made that mark. I would not recommend these due to the fact that they simply do not last and Altra doesn't honor their own warranty.

I purchased a pair of running shoes and hiking boots, becuase of my great experience with a previous pair of Altras. I didn't realize that the width they offered back then is no longer available and it made the shoe uncomfortable. I wish they still offered the wider shoe. I had to return both of them and am now trying other brands.

These shoes, and the high top version are falsely marketed as all weather shoes. I have had three pairs of them, with the same result. If you are ever hiking in winter, and happen to need to wear snowshoes, or spikes, you will ruin these shoes, first time worn. Design flaw that Altra customer service considers normal wear and tear.

They're coming apart after only a couple hikes. I want to send them back. Very disappointing. They were comfortable, but not well made and they're really expensive, so I expected a lot better. Boo.

I been wearing these shoes lightly and, then the sole started to unglue from shoe just after a month and a half of use and the warranty doesn't make sense to use. They also are separating in areas where the 2 fabric meet. I have not took them on the trail yet to really test them

I had such high hopes for the AllWeather Mids after Altra finally got their groove back with the Lone Peak 5s. Those hopes were dashed after repeated efforts to find a decent fit. I fail to understand why these boots are so narrow. The entire point of LP's was the zero drop and wide foot box. These are so narrow in my regular LP5 size that I wondered if I had inadvertently put on a pair of winkle pickers! I bought 3 different sizes but, unlike Goldilocks, none were just right. The full size up from my usual was not wide enough and pinched, but the length was acceptable. A size and a half up from usual had the correct width but were absurdly clownshoe-like in length, rendering the boots useless for anything other than the circus. I remain hopeful that one day Altra gets it right and matches their lasts on the All Weather boots with the regular lone peaks. These, however, are another disappointing mishit.

I got the Altra mens all weather mids as a birthday gift and I didn't even have them for 2 whole days and the glue used to hold the soles on already failed. Great customer service but WOW I don't understand how the quality is so poor when these boots are over $180.00 shipped to my door. The stitching in the sole isn't even stitched to anything?(see photo) literally hiked 10 short miles in these and it looks like I've owned them an entire year!! Altra seemed like a good company but they really need to strive to have better quality products.

The Lone Peak 4 is the King.
The Lone Peak 5 is not even in the same kingdom.

Except for the very "tippy toe"of this Hiking footwear, it is no more foot shape than normal conventional hiking boots:(Is Altra stepping away from anatomically correct human foot shape design?) in the photograph is my discontinued obsolete made my Altra Tushar Boot= A good thing, But a flawed engineer design. I think you should bring it back

This Lone Peak Mid is so much narrower than the previous models that there isn't enough width for my orthotics, much less for my feet. As there was barely room enough in the old Lone Peaks for me to wear thin liner socks, I had hoped the new LP Mids would be wider, to allow a nice thick stocking with cushion. So disappointed! And about cushion, these new shoes don't have even half the ankle cushioning of the previous LPs. I've worn nothing but Lone Peak Mids since Altra began making them. I believed I'd found "my shoe" and would never have to search for another brand. Why can't manufacturers understand that everyone isn't blessed with Cinderella feet?....And foot binding's illegal, even in China!

I got these as a gift and having had 3 pairs of lone Peak 4s previously and loving them I must say these are a disappointment. When you wear shoes with a wide toe box your toes get used to being able to splay and they stay that way making it very hard to go back to regular "foot coffin" shoes without It being really painful or suffering numbness and discomfort. That what is happening with these shoes. I don't know reasoning behind this narrowing of the toe box but if it's the new Altra standard I'll have to switch brands. Very disappointing. It's nice to see the shoe getting sturdier which is why I gave 1 star but beyond that they are not Altra's I fell in love with.

This is my 5th pair of this line and the new version is really narrow. The whole sole when lined up with my old pair you can see the whole shoe is significantly more narrow Old pair has 500 miles on them.
