Have taken this out so far on wet snowy hike in North Carolina, marching through snow and shallow creeks these kept my feet 100% dry. Ego midsole provides good comfort throughout the hike.

First impressions of these is they are welcome improvement on the RSM version with it's laundry list of issues. I tried these as a replacement for those.
I wear primarily wear these for walking/hiking off road in the wet and in winter where it's a mix of wet and dry snow. I had to get a size 15 in these as the 14 was too small compared to the RSM 14, which were very roomy. The AW 14 was visibly and functionally shorter, the smaller insoles confirmed the story. I marked "A full size too small" as of course there is no 14.5, nor do I think it would be the same as the RSM 14. I can live with a slightly long shoe., slightly short I cannot.
I'm able to wear heavyweight socks inside these 15's also so I'm good down to at least 0F. My feet are nice and warm. From the slushy snow I encountered today the upper stayed dry inside. The lacing system I was skeptical about but appears alright. Notably different is the feel of the midsole. I like the feel of the EGO which I'm familiar with as I own many pairs of Escalante Racers. It's cushioned but firm enough to never be squishy. The RMS's were squishy, I didn't really like it. The sole is also a rocker style, like the Racer, which facilitates forward propulsion and better toe/forefoot feel. These don't have the flexibility of the Racers of course, but I'll survive.
Basically I simply like wearing these, I look forward to wearing them. They are also really easy to slip on and off. This model came as a complete surprise to me as I only told the RSM's were discontinued, the customer service agents didn't inform me a new model was coming. It's here now and I like it so far.

There is a significant difference in cushion and return on this shoe from the previous version and it's awesome. I have the All Weather and the only complaint I have is the removal of the Gaiter components are not on this particular shoe. It wish they they would not have removed that because a Gaiter would be helpful for people that wear the low cut version.

I would say they are water resistant than waterproof. The grip on the soles are great but will take some breaking in time like really good boots.

These Lone Peak All weathers are my preferred show for below freezing runs; keeping feet dry and warm. But on a frost covered boardwalk grip is not great, nowhere near that of Vibram Megagrip soles.

I have worn a mens size 8 my whole life… I had to size up to a mens size 8.5 with these.
This is my first “zero-drop / wide toe-box” shoe - I don’t think I’ll ever go back to the traditional style again. I’m sold on the fact that my toes can “splay” naturally and that the cushion in this shoe is so spongy and amazing!!! I seriously do t think my feet have been this comfy in a shoe.
I did _not_ buy these to run in either - I just wanted something comfortable. I was also just looking for a waterproof shoe because, well - WHO LOKES WET SOCKS?!?
This shoe fits the bill for everything EXCEPT price… $180 for a good pair of shoes is down right ridiculous. This has gotten WAY out of hand IMO! ?????

For background, I have also owned the Lone Peak 4.5, 5, and 6, and I use these for trail running, hiking, and hunting (off-trail, rugged terrain). I also use the Escalante for running on pavement and for gym workouts. I am a 10.5 in the other LP versions, but wear an 11 in the Escalante. Similar to others, I found the all-wthr version to feel much more tight and less "Altra-like" than other shoes I've had. They also started to blow out on the inside of the shoes after 7 days of hunting. Prior to the hunting trip, I probably had 75-100 miles of trail time on these. I believe going up a half size may have helped with both issues and will try that on the next pair. Otherwise, I was happy with the performance and water resistance of these shoes.

I am a loyal Altra user, but with the most recent model I needed to return the size I usually buy for one 1/2 inch bigger. And the footbed, while still roomier than other brands, seems to have gotten narrower. Happy now that I have the larger size. But Altra, please do not make the Original Footshape any narrower.

These have kept my feet dry whether in fields or on the trail. Nice light weight for the work shop long haul. I'm planning to buy another pair a year later.

Way too narrow and does not fit like it's predecessor, too bad. It felt shorter too.
I'd also recommend:
I love Altra shoes just disappointed in the width, will try other Altra shoes., maybe XERO shoes

These are my latest pair of Altra's and I'm happy to report that they work pretty well. I haven't waded through any puddles with them (and normally wouldn't) but the "all weather" liner keeps my feet dry in wet grass. The soles feel tacky and are aggressively knobbed.
2 small complaints: the laces are round and slippery and you have to work at tying them under tension as they loosen while knotting; and the footbed at the outside metatarsal (mid-foot) is slightly raised and conspicuous while walking, for my flat feet anyway.

It has the best tongue and heel design. Though the original design was better foot wise. They are very stable and due to the zero lift they have eliminated any knee issues I had.

Nice fitting. Never wore. Liked a different pair better. Always concerned about Altra durability.

I have been a long time user of the Lone Peak. There is something very different about the lacing for these All WTHR models. There is no lace lock hole like on the standard Lone Peaks. So the way runners lace their shoes won't work. I hope they add the lace lock hole in the future!
Other than that they are great!

I run through the winter in upstate NY, mainly on the road. Even though this shoe is designed for trails, the Lone Peak works for me in snowy, slushy roads as well. In past years I ran in the Lone Peak RSM, and this year the new version is this ALL-WTHR.
For me, the fit was similar to other Altras recently, and a bit tighter than the older Lone peaks like the 2.0. everyone has different feet, and these are fine for me with the usual size.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that Altra did not include the Gator trap on this version. I asked, and they said they didn't want to sew the Velcro through the waterproof liner. Fair enough.
So, true to Altra lore, I modified them myself by cutting the Velcro off of an old pair of Lone Peaks with an exacto knife, and glueing it on the back of these new ones. The front of the gaiters hooks on the laces. Works great so far, keeps ice and salt from getting down into my shoes.
Pros
The waterproofing is much improved
The soles seem grippier
I like the lacing system and tongue
Cons
Heavy, but ok for training
No Gator trap
Use
Road running in the winter, 115mi on 15 runs so far and they look like new (except for the Velcro and glue)

Fits a bit smaller than my lone peak 5s and feels stiffer in the upper and sole compared to LP5s.

The heel support is vastly improved from prior years. But the toe box is a little lower it feels more crowded than prior years. I should have gone a half size bigger.

Great fit with plenty of toe room. The sole is grippy and it has aggressive "trail claws". There is lots of squishy cushioning. The shoe upper is thin so there's not much of a thermal barrier; when I stop my feet chill quickly. The water resistance is good. The laces are super-slick which make pulling them tight easy but makes tying them difficult; they won't hold tension with an overhand knot. Last, where'd the gaiter traps go?

I love my Lone Peak. I first, as a woman, chose the women's style...the toe's got holes, and the heel lining tore up...I walk/run 4 to 6 miles a day. I next purchased Men's, heel still tears, but toe is good. For the miles I put on, and the feel of a more natural feel my feet on the earth...love my shoes. Hope they bring the color back that I have now...

These do not fit the same as the regular Lone Peak 5. I have the LP5 in 11.5 and they fit perfectly. These in the same size squished my toes at the front. I will have to size up half a size. Otherwise they look great, like regular Lone Peak but stiffer material.

Everything seems great. Maybe it's mebut given the whole 'wide toe box' selling point, I think they missed the mark, narrowly. Pun intended.

A really striking shoe, but the water proofing, while a good concept, requires materials that made the shoe feel very different from their other shoes. Where the toe creased, it seemed to dig into my foot more than I would like. Perhaps, breaking them in would make this feel better; but I didn’t want to make that kind of investment into a trial. If they want to send me a free pair, I’ll be happy to run them to the ground and test that theory. ;) and update my review down the road.

This shoe hits the spot for me when off-trail hiking. It's basically waterproof and provides just a bit more lateral support than the standard Lone Peak. I am disappointed that it abandons the previous flat lace and eliminates the gator system.
