You are taking a lot of business from yourself by not offering an all black. A lot of people would be able to wear these at work if they were all black.

Having loved my 0-drop Altra shoes for running, I wanted to see what they offered for hiking. These boots are great. Super comfortable, rugged, supportive, and much lighter-weight than my Merrell Moab 2's. They're also seemingly very durable (very little visible wear after a half-dozen 5-mile, rocky hikes).

I genuinely don't have feet pain or ankle pain anymore after running. I've had horrible luck with ankle injuries and the support these offer me on trails is second to none. I intend to buy more.

Very nice boot, but way too narrow for me. I wear a size 16 Altra pretty consistently. From the Torin 2.5 to the 3.5, and now the Lone Peak 5, but these are much narrower. My foot was hanging over the sole all over the place. Altra is making some wides now but not in the biggest sizes. Still, these are really nice and if they fit you score! I don't care for the color of the khaki ones. They didn't look quite khaki or green. The blacks are ruined IMO by the white sidewall. I'd prefer a dark grey or just black as it won't show the dirt as much.

I do love Altra. I do a lot of walking and was trying to complement my Keens. They do, but it seems that they are a bit bulky around the toe box - and I buy them (and Keens) because of the toe box. They are fine and I'm "confined" to a bit of asphalt walking and they're doing well. Stylish? Not so much but I don't buy for style.
I'd also recommend:

Comfortable, but poor quality. Sole started separating on the toe and customer service claimed normal wear and tear. Wore less than 100 miles on trails. Beware of shoddy workmanship and poor customer service.

Could not get my foot inside the shoe, the tongue is fixed to a point where it will not pull up enough to allow the foot to angle into the bottom without a great deal of effort.

Ok so, I'm not sure why they changed the colors on the new Hiker 2, but these companies are all making these shoes into vibrant women's shoes with these silly colors. Bring back manly colors, please!!

I would own four pairs of this shoe if it came in a bunch of color combos, but only own the green ones. Most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. Thick tread for demanding hiking/scrambling but super light

Love, love, love this boot. I've worn them everywhere since I got them for Christmas. Color, fit, size, price, comfort all fantastic. We spend lots of time in Damascus VA and used boots on both VA Creeper Trail and Appalacian Trail. And they're sharp enough to wear to work. I have a wide toe splay going on and these are perfect. No tightness when hiking. Definitely would buy again. The heel pull tab did break one one boot, but I get most of blame because I didn't I wa lazy and didn't loosen laces very well. Super glued back on and never would know.

As I've gotten older, I've been getting some knee pain and plantar pain. Not when I wear these! Plus, they are so comfortable and get lots of compliments.

Comparing photographs, you be the judge I have them in my possession I know for myself for my feet(the LP7 hiker-2 -vs- Tushar ) and compared to LP5 wide, and the Be-lenka ranger and Nevada , and the Sofstar switchback. The design construction is excellent but the forefoot and toebox needs to be more anatomically oblique~ more ~ergonomically correct to fit a range of feet; and come in a wide version. The good news is,! at-least there is someone making across the board footwear that shaped like a normal human healthy foot versus "pointed toes in high heels". Happy New Year's thanks for reading:-D

I broke my same ankle three times in the past running in low cut trail shoes. I figured I would need to stop trail running until I eventually tried these. They work great and give the support I need in my weak ankle. Just ordered my third pair, and have avoided any breaks since I made the switch!

As an outdoor educator, these are the first pair of shoes I feel comfortable and secure in for a non-waterproof boot. While also being very fashionable which is a crucial component in the woods haha!!

Its almost like walking on air with these. I bought the lone peak's on a whim then called customer service a few hours later to cancel as I was having second thoughts. The agent was super helpful and nice. She infomred me that unforntneuly it was too late to cancel, but expressed I could return if necessary.
I am so glad they shipped. Upon trying them on I instantly knew these were a keeper. They feel very light and airy. I have already received multiple compliments on how they look. Thank you!

The shoe I have that I love is the Torin 5. It has a wide enough tread that I am not hanging off the edge. I returned the ones I ordered. The length was ok. Now if have a hiker with the Torin 5 style tread width I would go for that.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Very lightweight. Like walking in the clouds. I have small cell neuropathy in my feet so I only wear the most comfortable shoes made and these are my favorite pair
