What started off to be a comfortable pair of hiking boots or everyday use in the mitten (Michigan) turned out to be a thin on the front.

After 5 months of light walking on easy crushed stone park trails only - no off path trail running - there are two splits in the Goretex fabric. 4 stars for very comfortable fit though. And not really impressed with the tread wear from walking either.

I like the weight and comfort of these shoes, but the quality is questionable. I have gone through 2 pairs in one year. One set the sole came apart and the second the material where it bends from stepping has come apart. I like Merrell, but i may try another brand out.

Bought these shoes to wear at home, I work at home (deskwork). I try to walk 3-4 miles a day. As much as I love these shoes and find them extreamly comfortable, the tread wore out WAY TOO FAST. The good part is my wife cant blame me for tracking mud in the house as they do not collect mud :-)

Bought these this month and in under 22 miles of hiking, the sole is separating from the shoe. The fit is not the same as my other MOABs. I have a older Moab 2 with over 200 miles on them, they are holding up better than Moab Speed Mid GORE-TEX. Not worth the price

Merrell, please, please, please bring back your sizing. I've enjoyed and worn out the most comfortable pair of boots from Merrell, the Merrell Moab FST waterproof that I purchased in 2016. Those boots had me raving about Merrell and I thought I was a customer for life. I have been trying to find a comfortable pair of boots to replace them for months and sadly, Merrell boots just don't fit me any longer and I've even tried men's in spite of the masculine colorways. These new Moab Speed boots were too narrow in regular and too wide in wide. Unfortunately, I've had to break up with Merrell as my primary footwear brand and I can no longer wear or recommend them.

DID NOT RUN TRUE TO SIZE IN LENGTH SO DID NOT FIT. INSUFFICIENT NEON IN INVISIBLE PLACES, MORE BRIGHTS ON MENS MODELS MID TOP AND HIGH TOPS PLEASE! ALL MESH SHOULD HAVE BEEN NEON. THE WIDE BLACK MID STRIPE WONT STAY BLACK.BLACK SHOULD ACTUALLY ALWAYS BE JET BLACK OR PUT WITH WHITE BUT NOT GRAY. THE OLD SUEDE WHITE AND SILVER BIRCH WAS BEAUTIFUL, BRING IT BACK WITH REAL SUEDE AND ROYAL ACCENTS AND BLACK WITH WHITE FLECK SOLE AND BLACK MID SOLE AREA AND BUMPERS NOT CHEAPO NUBUCK. MAKE NEON YELLOW/WHITE/BLACK. OPTIONAL 4th COLOR, ROYAL BLUE. CHEAP TERRY LINER. NEEDS MESH. REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THESE SHOES, BUT GOT SOMETHING UNWEARABLE DUE TO CUT CORNERS ON SIZE. GREAT SOLES. NOT ENOUGH INTERIOR PADDING. ON THE BALL OF FOOT YNDERNEATH. LOVE THE EYELETS! BOUGHT TO REPLACE UNWEARABLE MOAB-3s (ALSO NOT TRUE TO SIZE, ROUNDED TOE, #2 FROM TOP EYE NO GROMMET WONT TIGHTEN NO ANKLE SUPPORT). MOAB-2 MID TAC WAS PERFECT, IT WAS ALSO THE ONLY SNEAKER/HIKER I CAN WEAR, NOW OF ALL MERRELL MODELS THERE ARE NONE. FOR THESE PRICES I EXPECT CONTINUITY ON FIT, AND PADDED INSOLES AND MESH NOT TERRY LINERS. AND VISIBILITY OPTIONS IN MENS COLORS FOR SAFETY. ESP. NEON YELLOW AND LIGHTBLUE. LOVE THE FLECKED RECYCLE SOLES, MORE FLECKS IN IT PLEASE! THE WHTE RECYCLE SOLE WITH DARK FLECKS AND GUM IS EXCELLENT I WISH IT WAS ON A WEARABLE SHOE. MORE GUM ON WHITE FLECK OPTIONS PLEASE. MOAB-3 FLARED TOP HOOKS ARE A TRIP HAZARD THEY CATCH ON THE OTHER SHOE'S BOW. ALL EYELETS WITH STANDARD GROMMETS PLEASE. I LOVED MY MOAB-2 TACs BUT CANNOT FIND A REPLACEMENT. I'D TRY THE HIGH TOP BLUE ROGUE? WITH ORANGE HEEL IF IT WAS NOT INSULATED BUT I WANT IT MOSTLY BLUE NOT MOSTLY ORANGE. AND NEON YELLOW WOULD BE BETTER ACCENT COLOR ON BLUE. SO STILL NOTHING WEARABLE. EVERYTHING ELSE HAS THOSE DANGEROUS FLARED TOP HOOKS. OR NOT ENOUGH PADDING UNDERFOOT OR NOT TRUE TO SIZE. MOAB-2 TAC MID FITS.

Cushioning in a shoe is its capacity to absorb the force of an impact. Is not the case for my pair I bought. Totally uncomfortable. On top of that what is driving me insane when I am walking are making noise

Bought a pair in late December, by January the heel was coming unglued. Merrell replaced them, after wearing the new pair for a few days the more glue problems, but now it's time to move on from Merrell.

This boot is the same height as a shoe without the cut-outs for your ankle bone. If you want a boot that rubs your ankle bone raw, this is the boot for you.

Like the rest of the 1 stars, these lasted less then 20miles in the White MT of NH. I got home and when cleaning my gear noticed the left heal was already ripped off. I own many Merrell boots and shoes and I've never had an issue like this before.

Not the best Merrill's I've worn. The sole seems off when worn. Toe box is tight'ish. If you're a hiker, street or otherwise, don't get these. I have an average foot, both shape and size. The Moab 2's I usually use are excellent though. I bought these in an attempt to change it up a bit. I should've stuck to what worked.
P.S. these jokers are poorly glued together which becomes very apparent after a few miles in them. These are best suited for "casual wear".

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. BUT, I've had these less than 6 months and the front near the toes has some cracking, thus they are no longer waterproof. DO NOT BUY!

Had these a few weeks, they are very comfortable, but the pair I have is not waterproof at all. Water soaks thru the front of the shoe and right to my sock eventually everytime. today they became completely soaked thru just from walking in some wet grass. very disappointing consifdering they have a gore-tex lining and are so comfortable. Ill now have to return them.

I wore these 5 days a week for work, delivering bottled water. Concrete, grass, dirt, asphalt. You name it, I walk on it. Few miles every day. After about 3 months, I'm ordering a new pair of boots as the soles on these have worn to the point they are all but flat, I feel every stone/peeble I step on. Not sure if it's the recycled material or what, but this will not be a repeat buy. I can usually get 6+ months of use before the soles begin to cause issues.

This great looking shoe was very comfortable until it got wet. Wore these multiple times playing disc golf and loved them. After getting caught in the rain the shoes have shrunk and no longer fit.

I didn't really get to take these out, as the outsole had begun to peel from the midsole after about a week of breaking in a the office. I really like Merrell products overall, but now have a rule not to buy shoes white outsoles, as I've had to return two pair now... the annoying part about returning these is that I can to pay for shipping. C'mon!

I LOVE the MOAB boots - LOVE. They get a 5 star from me! And I used to have a pair of black business casual shoes that rocked, but then could never find again. Outside of that, everything I've bought Merrell has been horrible. I've had sandals, tennis shoes, then tried these, thinking since "Moab" in the name, I'll like. Nope, immediately sent back. For all of these 1 stars, Merrell has a very weird spot for arch support or ball of foot or something - it feels horrible and weird to me. VERY much wish this weren't the case, so I could buy Merrell everything, lol.... Sorry Merrell guys, these just don't feel right to me.

I would love to try these shoes, but Merrell does not seem to offer many shoes in wide sizes. Merrell's have been my favorite hiking shoe for many years, but I am constantly disappointed by the lack of wide size shoes. More selections please!

I feel this model is for a much younger person that has healthy joints from the hips down. I had both knees replaced 4 years ago and need more support than this shoe gave me. Moab speed are lightweight, but offered a low level of sole and ankle support for a mid shoe. Merrell might want to detail that in their marketing. I returned these and went back to a slightly heavier hiking shoe that I could hike in without discomfort.

The left shoe clicks loudly with each step. I have to pay to return it which is ridiculous since it's a manufacturing defect.
