Great for hiking in mud or wet conditions. Took them on vacation to St Lucia and they were great in the rainforest.

Great minimalist shoe. Appreciate the wide toebox and non slip heel.

I really enjoy these minimalist shoes. They are very thin and sensitive. I feel every rock, stick, or root. I love the style and I wear them frequently. I have worn them hunting quite a few times. They do lack a bit of traction when in steep side slopes, but these are not primarily trail shoes. I do wish Merrell made a version of the Vapor Glove with a bit more traction, but for the road and most trails the sole is fine. Highly recommended.

the transition from traditional running shoes to the Vapor Glove 5 was smoother than expected. The feeling to run or train in these shoes is amazing

I purchased this shoe style because Merrill offers what I call a minimalist shoe that is comfortable and is easily slipped on and off and can be worn outdoors or around the house. I like the feel on my feet and the comfort in walking about.

This is my fifth pair of Vapor Gloves. They are superb day hiking and short distance running shoes. I favor them because they provide the best agility and lightweight feel of any shoe. As a rock climber I appreciate the glove-like fit for scrambling. Highly recommend!

Used as gym + inner door running shoes and these are great!!

Great shoes. The toe box is wide and allows the feet to splay. The Vibram soles are supportive, but remain comfortable.

Fits wider feet easily. Even thought there's no "support" they are super conformable. It seems counter intuitive, and many have said It's better to let your feet do what they need to when barefoot, but it works for me.

I bought the original Vapor Gloves years ago and love them. I can't speak to how they are as a running shoe as I only use them as a gym shoe, but they are perfect for squatting, and deadlifting (where you want 0 heal rise). I ordered these because the original ones always seemed a little bit (I wear them without socks). Re-ordered a half size down and they fit perfectly.

Nice fit sizing is small though had to go up 1/2 size

I use these shoes for working out everyday. The fit is perfect and they allow for great foot spread and really connect with the ground. Love 'em!!

These are my 7th pair of Merrells over the last 3 years. It's all I wear....including to play golf. Finally wore out my first pair of Vapor Gloves..no problems, no disappointments!! Wear Vapor glove and Trail. Walk 25 to 30 miles a week in them...fit like socks!!

Very comfortable barefoot shoes with very close touch to the ground especially running on a treadmill. I can feel the toes could spread naturally with no restriction because of the wide toe box.

Upgraded from a favorite pair of Vapor Glove 3s. These 5s are an improvement.

These are the best minimal shoes I've owned. They are lightweight, flexible, have ZERO 'arch support' and mostly feel like wearing nothing. This is my second pair, and I expect to keep buying them as long as they're available. Tell your friends.

Love this shoe! It is just what I wanted in a minimalist shoe

Excellent light weight minimalist shoe. So light they feel like you're almost barefoot. Used for hiking on rocks, boulders and gravel and they give just enough protection if you're into the whole barefoot vibe. You feel everything, sometimes it hurts a bit, but I don't think I was ever close to cutting my feet. The shoes are pretty close to perfect.

I used to wear an 11. For some reason, it is now too small. I reordered a 12 and it is perfect. (I have wide feet.) You might consider a half size larger than your normal...

Getting back into the minimalist realm after a 5 year drought. The Vapor Glove 5 delivers! Good to see Merrell is back on the forefront of minimalist technology.
