Thought these were a good possibility of being my 1st pair of Berkis. Wore them around the house for a bit and decided the fit wasn't quite right. However, (I think) these were the pair that kept on giving after returning. My first ever case of Athlete's Foot!!! My advice to everyone, and a lesson I'm learning the hard way.....apparently shoes sold has new may absolutely have been tried on by others. Always, ALWAYS wear socks when trying on ANY shoe!!!

This was not Birkenstock quality nor did it fit like any Birkenstock shoe I ever had before. I always prefer Birkenstock to any other brand and when I saw they now made a sneaker, I decided to try a pair. When I opened the box and the first thing that hit me was that terrible odor, I didn't even want to try them on, but since I had ordered them, I did try. I admit I had to hold my breath to do it and couldn't take them off fast enough. Maybe if they didn't smell so awful, I would have given them a longer tryout but I just couldn't take the smell.

There was a terrible odor when I opened the box that I never got with any of Birkenstock item I every purchased before. Definitely did not have the usual comfortable feel of a Birkenstock and I have been wearing Birkenstocks for many years. I was very disappointed as I was so happy to see Birkenstock making sneakers now.

These were definitely stiffer than I had thought. I have never worn Birkenstock sandals, but was glad to see an enclosed shoe from them; The arch felt "good," but the whole shoe felt rather strange when I'd try to walk in them. I felt my side-to-side movements were awkward and I felt restricted. Definitely not for me.

A horror story: Months ago, I bought this EXACT same pair of Birkenstocks in beige. I loved them and had no break-in issues or problems at all so I wanted another pair in a different color. I bought black. However, even though these shoes were the same size and model, an interior "ridge" or raised lining has been introduced by Birkenstock into the interior heel of the shoe and in the course of the day, I developed a deep and painful blister. What a disappointment! These will be returned.

I have worn burka for over 20 years and have sandals and boots and was so excited for a pair of sneakers… but these definitely did not fit at all. Just felt weird

At first, I was not sure about the fit and comfort. After loosing the laces and wearing them a while, they felt great. I will be order Bends in another color.

This shoe fits perfectly. The sole is a little stiff but that's because they're Birks and need a break in. Now, a few months later, they are perfect.

Love them! The arch support is pretty comfy although I am used to wearing arch supports. I would imagine the arch supports might be a little aggressive at first for someone who’s not used to wearing them but if you need arch support, I’d say these are right along the line of Taos and Vionic levels of support. The toebox is nice and roomy, the fit was good, and they are super cute. I’d say they are a little on the wide side, but since they lace up, that’s easy enough to adjust. If you have a narrow foot, I would not recommend the regular width but if you have a medium width to maybe a little wider foot, these would be great. I wish they had white but maybe they will come out with that in the future. I’ll see how these end up working out in the long term, but I can see myself buying more than one color of these. Great purchase!

Fit just like my normal Birkenstocks and are super cute.

I finally found shoes to fit my flintstone feet! I immediately tossed the cork insoles as they felt like some sort of torture device. I use Powerstep insoles for high arches in every shoe I buy, and the 10.5 Powerstep insoles fit perfectly in the 10/10.5 Birks. Time will tell how the suede will hold up but the initial quality seems pretty good.

I have a lot of Birks and decided to try their sneakers. I have a vacation planned and wanted a neutral, comfortable shoe for walking. After a little break in period, Birks are very supportive and comfortable for me. The tan color is perfect. We will see after walking all day but so far, so good with them.

Love how well these are made and how nice they fit and look! True to size!

narrow size is perfect for those with narrow ankle/heel who want a wide toe box, and they look great

I am so glad I took a leap and tried the Birkenstock line of shoes. Not only do they fit, have great arch support, but they look so trendy. They do NOT look like granny shoes. I can see me wearing these with summer casual dresses, sporty pants, you name it. Great support.

These are some excellent sneakers! Materials and construction feel very high quality. I got the blue suede and it's a nice neutral. The arch support is quite good and not too aggressive. The footbed is pretty firm, although I wouldn't say to the point of being hard. The sole feels reasonably grippy and is not too squeaky. I would say it runs about a size smaller than the Arizona-style sandals (I wear a 40 in the sandals, but a 41 sneaker fit better), so perhaps consider sizing up. A nice bonus feature if this is something you are self-conscious about--because of the way the toe seam is placed, I swear it makes your foot look a little smaller? It's just a trick of perspective, of course, but it's kinda nice.
