Great shoe overall. Good inner sole design. Unfortunately upper rubs against my left ankle and might be an issue on the right ankle when my long run distance gets back to normal (still in physical therapy for a fractured right arm) and have to use my Aetrex orthotics to raise my ankles off the uppers. I found that the Hoka inner sole provides sufficient support for my low arches. Also the ventilation holes make for a much cooler running shoe here in the Deep South. A better anatomically correct ankle cutout would make the Mach 4 a perfect shoe!

Love everything about the Mach 4 starting with great cushion that is far from mushy, very springy and optimal toe off. Very roomy and the elastic shoelaces adapt to swelling feet (especially with these warm temps) The Mach 4 has a wide base that is not cumbersome. The coral color is a great indication Hoka is no longer crancking dull colors for men's shoes. Grade is 10 out of 10!!!

I tend to always stick with new balance men's shoes for running since I have wide feet and struggle to find shoes in women's sizes that accommodate my feet. This is my first pair of HOKA's and I have to say the switch is incredible so far! Going to put a lot of miles in this pair. Exchanging for a larger size was a breeze and they arrived quickly each time.

I've only put 60 miles on them so far but I am very happy with them.

Best running shoes I've used

Used it on a couple of shorter road runs. Also ran a 50K race on crushed gravel trails. The shoe performed superbly on both.

One of the best shoes I've ran in

I am a health care worker and on my feet most of the day! These are my go to for work! They support my knees, back and hips well! Will continue to buy!

I've only done two runs in these shoes but I will tell you they are the best Running Shoes I've ever owned. I run about 20 miles a week and I've owned 4 different brands. My ranking of best to worst: Hoka Brooks Mizuno Under Armour Use the tool on their website to size yourself. I was told to go a half size smaller than Brooks and it was accurate.

Fit like a glove, lightweight and comfortable. What else do you need?

This is really a great shoe. I bought this shoe in March and have been loving it ever since. From the track to long runs it has worked perfect for me. The rocker in the is great and takes less out off of my legs compared to my peg 37s. Totally am going to buy again.

Light, comfortable, responsive. Great fit with plenty of room for toes

Tremendous shoe, at any price. Tremendous value at this price. I have a wide, but not terribly wide, foot and am used to Altra and other zero drop shoes. These are a perfect fit, wide base for stability, and the rocker technology really helps my gait.

Loving the Hoka One One Mach 4s! Super soft and yet responsiveit's an amazing training shoe!

At 52 years old I finally found the Mecca of running shoes! Unreal fit and feel. So light, comfortable and absolutely allows you to go longer without discomfort or fatigue. Already got several guys purchasing HOKA shoes this week after I showed them my Mach 4's.

I don't like overly cushioned running shoes. I like my toes to have room.Thus I run mostly in shoes with wide toe boxes and cushion levels just above minimal. As I get older I like a little more cushion. Still don't like "cushioned" shoes. The reviews of the Mach 4 intrigued me. I talked to runners who had Hokas with responsive cushioning. With some trepidation I ordered a pair. My first two runs were five miles. The third ten. I could feel the extra cushion but my feet didn't sink in giving just enough cushion to keep my feet happy but not so much to slow me down. In fact during the ten I rather glided right along. Just enjoyed the run. Never even thought about having anything on my feet. Tempted to get another pair to sit in waiting.

I've ran in this shoe a few times and it's comfortable to run in. The cushioning is pretty soft and the shoe is light.
