I have two pairs of 10.5 D in two different colors. Very inconsistent manufacturing - COMPLETELY DIFFERENT size. Grey has excess material- way too wide in toe box. Black fit right- , if not a bit tight. Assuming made in two different red my off-shore locations. Foot slides side 2 side in the grey pair. Not cool with the differences.

I have been wearing a size 11 for many years. The website suggested I go to an 11 1/2, guessing these shoes run a little small. I rec'd the 11 1/2 and it feels a little too short and a somewhat narrow toe box. I contacted Zappos and after an internet conversation it was decided I would wear for a while and see what happens. I have been wearing for several days and the jury is still out, I think in the end they may be too small. I really like the shoe other than this one issue, and it's reassuring that Zappos always stands behind their return policy.

I am on my feet all day, as a teacher and working retail. I've always liked Hoka! Unfortunately, I pronate badly, so I'm limited in styles. I bought the Gaviota 3s. They're not very cushy, and they squeak horribly. Bummer. I still like them though.

Wear them at work (about 20,000 steps) decent feet support but the tread is already ripping off the bottoms. Would be a great shoe if a bit more affordable.

The product is great but unlaced the shoes because of the left shoe laces seeming to be shorter. The left shoe was laced with a shorter lace causing difficulty tying when laced through all eyelets.

This shoe has cushion but the cushion is lost due to the extreme support — this shoe doesn’t compress down like the Bondi - seems the toe box maybe a little smaller than The Bondi - great style though - just not for me

The Gaviota 3 arr super comfortable but do not follow the size recommendation online - it will ask you what shoes and size are your most comfortable and recommends .5 size smaller - The shoes I got two weeks ago still feel too small

Why does Hoka change their shoes and narrow the toe box? The Gaviota 2 toe box was perfect. Unbelievable!

After reading some of the positive reviews on this shoe, I was excited to try a pair for myself. I have to say, I was very disappointed in the overall comfort of this shoe. The heel cushion felt very hard and stiff. Not at all like what I was expecting. I ordered a pair of the Challenger ATR 5 at the same time. The ATR 5 felt wonderful. The cushioning in the heel was much better than the Gaviota 3. For my preferences (I deal with a lot of heel pain from complications with plantar fasciitis), I would highly recommend the ATR 5 over the Gaviotas 3. Warning: Both styles felt to run a little small. I will be returning both pair. I will reorder a 12.5 in the ATR 5 and return the Gaviotas for a full refund.

First and foremost, I don't like leaving reviews (my wife usually takes care of that.) I wanted to give these shoes a 5 star rating but I simply can't. The comfort and fitting are amazing and perfect. However, this is the second pair I've ordered directly through Hoka's website and they are defective. The first pair had two sections from the ball of the outsole start to separate from one another (left shoe.) The second pair had the same issue on the heel of the outsole (also the left shoe.) I returned the first pair and decided that I'm just going to keep this second pair and put some gorilla glue and hope that'll fix it. What I hate the most is that, I'm not even running in these shoes. These are simply work shoes for me as a sit/walk/stand for 12 hrs shifts.
(Normally wear 9.5 shoes and ordered size 10 W)

I really want to love this shoe, but I do have issues. I love the stability it give my foot. But in order for it to feel secure I must tie the shoes extremely tight, to the point that the circulation in my foot is affected. Also the shoe strings that come with the shoes are WAY TOO LONG! I find this on all 6 pair of Hoka's that I have purchased in the last 2 years. Last night I took them out and replaced with shorter ones. Do you have any suggestions. ALso will you consider doing in any other colors in Wide?

Fit and quality are great. The lace system is why I returned the shoe. It is very difficult to get to the individual laces to tighten the shoes. The laces are so close together they are on top of one another and very difficult to individually identify and pull to tighten. If this shoe had a traditional eyelet lace stricture I would love this shoe.

Pls first of all provide nice colors to sizes Wide shoes too. 2nd Gaviota has very good support but inside the shoe is hard. It needs more softer foam inside. Not enough cushion inside.
Had to return the shoes.

I ordered a size 12 wide (my normal size) yet your product feels more like an 11 or 11.5. I will try to exchange for a 12.5 or even 12 to improve comfort.

I got these for my son since they were recommended by his foot doctor. He felt like walking in clouds and his shin pain was gone. We were so happy for finding a right shoe for him without using his inserts! Unfortunately, the shoe is not very durable, he just had them for 2 months and they're falling apart, for the price I would expect a lasting shoe. He has different brands of shoes (cheaper than Hoka) and never had issues with shoes wearing out so quick, the material around the eyestays is falling off, that fabric all over looks worn out just not what you expect from a good shoe. He still loves how good he feels while wearing them, but shoes sure don't look 2 months old.

I bought these shoes in July. They arrived 7/11/22 and it is now 9/9/22 and they are already falling apart. I was wearing them everyday in rotation with a different brand, and parts of the sole are falling off, the fabric is torn and starting to tear away from the sole. I'm disappointed by the quality of these shoes and how long they have lasted.
