The Challenger ATR6 is a perfect hard trail/gravel running shoe. They are soft enough for some miles on pavement, perfect if you run a few miles on your way to the trails. Lugs are big enough for compact dirt and gravel, but slip a little on soft dirt/thick leaves. Overall a great option if you are someone who likes to run on various terrain with a single pair of shoes.

I've ran in every iteration of Challengers since ATR 2 (some interactions multiple times) and have had minimal issues. I can usually get 400mi of dedicated trail running before the sides start blowing. This recent pair's padded heel counter on the left shoe fell in on my second run which now causes some irritation. Tried my best to pull it back into shape with minimal luck. Each time I slide my foot into the shoe it falls back in! Chalking the issue as a one off defect. Will continue to purchase in the future.

These shoes are amazing. However, they only lasted me 4 months before the sole started coming apart. Wish they lasted longer.

Lightweight and responsive, but characteristic of every Hoka model, the soles wear out prematurely!

Feels like most other sneakers not what I am used to with a Hoka. A little bummed because I support the brand and have for years so maybe a tad disappointed with the lack of Hoka comfort level in this shoe.

I like my purchase of the Challenger ATR6 because of the great deal but very disappointed in the factory insole. I figure when you buy a pair of Hokas it's supposed to better and more comfortable for your feet but sadly it's not. ? I had to purchase additional insole ?

I have a pair of Hoka Clifton 8's and love them. I ordered a pair of the Challenger 6 shoes thinking the soles would be as soft as the Clifton's but they are not. I like the color, and the fit is good, but will stick to the Clifton's moving forward.

I have a pair of Clifton 8s, i thought this pair is also as soft as the clifton's so i bought two pairs, but unfortunately its not. I gave it 3 stars based on what i thought it would be like the clifton. I have bad feet and in need of really soft cushiony shoes but this one is definitely not soft. To give some credit to it, the shoe is very stable in my feet and ankle and for sure very good for trail walking. I dont recommend it to people that is looking for cushiony shoes but absolutely for people that loves to hike. The downside is, the shoes is a little pricey and i think there are a lot of shoes out there that are less expensive.

Love Hoka's shoes, when they fit. Unfortunately, all too often Hokas are not wide enough. Need extra wides.

I wish I would have gotten a 10.5 E, I normally wear 10.5 or a 10 E . I guess HOKA runs narrow.
