Overall I really like these shoes. They are comfortable and fit well. I have run in them for several weeks and they have performed well. The one negative thing for me is that these shoes are quite a bit thicker in the sole than I am typically used to. (I am coming to these from Brooks Ghosts). I could just be a lazy runner, but I have noticed my feet dragging on the road or trail more than with previous shoes.

Shoe fit great and was true to size. Excellent level of comfort during the first couple runs.

I would definitely buy again. One caveat; if you need to use these for cross-fit or rowing machine at gym, the heel is very wide and a little clunky. Not ideal for when you have to insert your foot into any apparatus. Otherwise for running, hiking, walking they are fantastic.

Why is the only colorway available in wide such an ugly colorway. I have the all black pair. Would be an amazing pair of shoes if it was a tad wider in the midfoot. Please make more all black colorways for your trail shoes. The hoka speedgoat 4 needs an all black option. Runs slightly warm

If the toe box was just a smidge wider this would be an almost perfect shoe. As is, still very comfortable and nice looking.

Overall I like the comfort of the shoe. I'm on my feet quite a bit. Not sure I like the yellow color on middle portion.

Very comfortable but very narrow toe box for my foot shape. Well made and felt very supportive

This was my first pair of hokas. I'm liking them so far. They're not super agile, as to be expected with the big cushion. Pretty cushy and helpful for putting in a lot of miles.

Runs narrow as do a lot of other models. Hoka’s can be very different model to model.

Had to decide between 14d and 14 EE (wide). Ended up with the wide. Toe box still is a little big but for workout walking that is probably a good thing. Otherwise the fit is perfect.

I've ran in the previous model, the ATR 5s, for a couple years now. The ATR 6 is a noticeable improvement in its transition of weight from heel to toe and has a real solid lateral stability. The grip on rock/wet ground seems just as good as the 5s. I did notice however that for the ATR 6, the shoe is about a half size bigger than the ATR 5 (ordered the same size). Overall, a big fan!

These are great shoes for pavement, dirt roads, and light trails. Really nice ride, but they do begin to breakdown a bit faster than others like the Speedgoat.

Basically a road shoe with a little extra meat on the bottom. The shoe absorbs most small rock hits on the bottom of my foot. Still lightweight. A good compromise for a road runner who doesn't want a heavy trail shoe. Tried the Speedgoat, but the toe box was too narrow.

These are the first shoes I have owned that have the somewhat rounded sole. I wore them for 3 days and my lower back and legs were killing me so I stopped. Trying them one more time, if they still hurt I will have to send them back. I hate to because I love the look of these shoes.

I've had a few trail runs and the Challenger ATR 6 provide a nice, soft landing while still providing good, stable ankle support.

I’ve had the ATR 5s and they seem to fit perfectly. I assumed the ATR 6 would be the same. But the ATR 6 seemed narrower, particularly around the toe box area. I’ve seen this with other HOKA running shoes were fit seems to vary for same size shoes. Overall, I find HOKAs to be a quality shoe, bur Hoka please be more consistent with size and fit. Returned and will order the ATR 5s again.

These shoes ran a little larger. There seems to be a longer toe box. A good shoe, just not for me.

When I first put these shoes on, I fell in love. They were comfortable, cushioned, and had an excellent grip. I was able to run on the road, the park, and even some snow and ice at a light pace. The shoes kept traction with every surface. The only problem came when I noticed blisters forming in the same exact place another pair of Hokas gave me blisters. It turns out that some of the models have a mesh/net structure that connects the tongue with the upper or even the midsole. It ends in a seam that gave me blisters on both feet in a very unusual place on the sole. They're still extremely comfortable with a great traction so I'm still giving it 4 stars but it's very odd. I know people with this same mesh that never got blisters so I suppose it's just me.

Good for easy trails and dirt road running - Narrow toe box - Medium sized lugs for grip - Could be deeper
