I love the Gaviota 2so naturally I thought I'd love the Gaviota 3, and I DO! However, the 3 lacks one feature that the 2 hada wider toe box. Overall though, I love this line of shoes. Super supportive as I work in healthcare, and truly appreciate the comfort of well engineered shoes.

I really wanted to like these as the colors were lovely, but unfortunately they are not the shoes for me. They have a fixed tongue, which because I have high instep they were just too tight. Other than that, they were comfortable and would have been a keeper. I did keep a pair of Bondi 7s, which are also quite comfortable and do not have a fixed tongue.

These felt really good at first, but then the outside of one shoe started to pinch my little toe. I tried cushions on my toe, and loosening the laces, but nothing worked. I had to return them.

I really liked how I walked and could run (around the house) in this shoe when I tried it on. I have been using the Hoka One One Clifton 7's to run in for the past 6 months or so, and used these to compare to. I liked the slight rocker feeling that allows for push off, however, the ball of my foot was sore after 5 minutes in the shoe. I then compared it to Clifton 8's, Carbon X2, and Arahi 5's. still Gaviota 3 was the only one to make the ball of my foot sore. I wear a size 10, my foot is not narrow, and I am an active individual, 5'6" average build. I suggest you try these, as their potential for you may be different.

I have purchased the Gaviota 1 and 2; loved these shoes! I needed new ones so I ordered the Gaviota 3, and what a change! I have wide feet, so the 1 and 2 ordered in wide feet perfectly, wore them right out of the box. I ordered the 3 in wide also, and to me there is nothing wide about them. I love Hoka's and I also have a pair of the Bondi...I may to get them in the future, and not get the Gaviota in the future.

This shoe is not for me. Too wide at toe and makes my feet numb. Very comfy and lots of cushion. Love the color too. I will be sending mine back and trying a different shoe.

Not as cushioning as other Hoka but great stability for my severe overpronation. Comfortable with my orthotics.
Wish they had more color choices in wide. I would also have preferred a black and white shoe versus solid black.

I bought a Hoka Gaviota a year or two ago, probably a Gaviota 1. It was size 9w and fit perfectly. I tried a 9w in Gaviota 3 and it was way too small. I ordered a 9.5 w which I am wearing, but it is still snugger than my original pair, but otherwise comfortable. I will probably find a store and try the size 10.

These are my go-to brand for working on my feet all day in healthcare! No more plantar fasciitis or foot pain! I love Hoka’s This color isn’t really appealing but they are comfortable.

all Hokas look a little like space shoes
but the cushioning and the softness make up fir it

I decided to try the gaviota for the stability factor and hoped it would be as cushioned as bondi. Comfie for sure but I think I'll stick with bondi because cushioning is most important to me with plantar fasciitis flair ups.

Only run in these, order wide for the comfort, but this Gaviota 3 feel a bit tight on both feet compared to the Gaviota 2.

This is my 6th pair of Hoka. The laces on this style are extremely long for some reason. When double tied, they nearly touch the ground.
The shoes after one run seem fine. I’m just wondering if there’s any way I can get laces with a length that would compliment the shoe? I’m wondering if possibly a pair of men’s laces accidentally were placed in my pair.

I do love my new Gaviota 3, but not as much as the Gaviota 2. Some of the changes made to this model have made my feet hurt a bit. I am adjusting, but it was a disappointment.

I need stable shoes and these full the bill. I have had problems with the shoelaces though. I even changed the laces because the ones the shoes came with are ridiculously long. I double knot them and lace on the outer holes near ankle etc. but it only helps a little. I debated whether to return but I like them a lot otherwise.

I decided to try this shoe instead of my Bondi's. I had High Hopes. However the fit was much snugger and shorter than the Bondi. So I am going back with my Bondi at least for now

Love the cushion and the stability but I can only wear the shoe with thick socks and an insert. The shoe would slip off if worn with my compression running socks. Was hoping to love themso far I kinda like them but not sure I like them better than my Brooks. Brooks has more cushion for those of us with plantar fasciitis and general foot pain.

They're really nice but don't seem to have much of a rocker sole,
which I need.

This shoe did not have as feminine of a look as compared to the Clifton 7 and 8. The support was good, but a little stiffer feel.

NOT like the earlier models of this shoe. Disappointed. I wear a 7 1/2 B in this shoe and it has been great. One reviewer reported that the new model is smaller, narrower --- so I ordered a B width and a wide. the B width was too wide and the shoe was longer than the same style that I am trying to upgrade. Having to return both. The one I have now is Gaviata 1 which is GREAT ! I have so many HOKAs and alternate them, so I do not wear them out fast. Wear for everyday and walking in a field. LOVE the Bondi but they are SO HUGE . The Gaviota 1 was a perfect fit and looked more "normal" to my petite body. But I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I am a nurse and work on my feet 12 sometimes 13 hours a day, these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I would've given five stars at the bottom is a few spots that are lifting up and I've only had them for three weeks. It doesn't affect the comfort or the wearing of the shoes it's just annoying sometimes

These shoes work for me but I had to air them out for a week before I could use them. I suspect they were returned and disinfected and then shipped to me. The smell is gone. I would have returned if it didn't go away after a week.
Hoka, wondering if you can use something else to disinfect.

I am a nurse. My feet were hurting so bad at the end of the shift, I would cry on my way home. I have very flat feet and decided to try the Hokas on recommendation from coworkers. I wore these and prayed for relief. My feet still hurt at the end of the shift, but not nearly as much. I had to leave off one star because the pain is not gone, but it is better. Thank you
