These are very cushioned (not the most cushioned from Hoka but still amazing) and provided a lot of stability. Feels like walking on clouds honestly! I would size down for Hoka. I'm a 7.5 in adidas & 8 in Nike but bought a 7 in Hoka. I'm also a 7 in brooks for reference.

I had a total knee replacement and reviewed this product mainly for cushioning. I no longer run however I still wear my HOKA's for walking and working out. Great shoe!

I love these shoes. I have another pair so I thought I would try these out. They are super comfortable with each step I run. I do need to lace my shoes the whole way up to the highest eyelet hole to have that stability and perfect fit feel.

I run about 3 miles a couple times a week with sensitive knees and orthotic inserts - and I love these! Comfortable and light!

Super cushiony for running. Ordered my regular size and fit in orthodic with plenty of room to spare. I’d say they run a half size big. I usually wear a 9 in Brooks and put orthodic on top of insole, the Hokas work with a 8.5.

Great shoe for comfortable walking and over pronation. No break in time, either! They fit true to size for me.

This was recommended to me by my son and they are awesome. As a teacher, I am on hard floors all day and these provide the comfort and stability I was looking for in a casual shoe for busy days. They also provide the same cushion and stability for my 3-5 mile daily walks.

The 5's are an impressive upgrade from the 4's in fit, comfort, and function. My first introduction to Hokas was in the Arahi 4, which I loved and were a game changer for my running. After putting 450 miles on my 4's, I got a pair of the 5's, and wow! The few drawbacks I experienced with the 4's have been totally remedied in the new version. The 4's always felt a little loose no matter what, and with the 5's, my foot feels perfectly snug and doesn't move around. I needed an insert to supplement arch support in the 4's, which I have not needed with the 5's (I've got about 50 miles in them so far),and aesthetically the Arahi 5's are much nicer looking. I love them so much I bought a second pair to use just with my treadmill. Well done, Hoka!!

Perfect amount of cushion -- not overwhelming but provides lots of support and stability. I used to always get knee pain when running but since running in the Arahi's I now never get pain.

As a high impact sport athlete with some serious foot issues, I need a shoe with a generous cushion and good support. Arahi 5 is perfect for me.

This was the first pair of Homs sneakers I've bought and I've already bought a second pair! I would in healthcare and I'm on my feet all day. I have to move patients, heavy machinery and stand for long hours in surgery. These shoes are so comfortable for all of it! The thicker sole gives a lot of support not just for my feet but my back and legs as well. The toe box did feel a little too snug at first. But I loosened the laces quite a bit and after wearing them for a week+ they are loosening up. Several of my coworkers and friends in healthcare are fans too, I highly recommend them.

I am a hospice social worker and on the go most days between the local hospital, individual homes and the office. I have a fused ankle so a comfortable stable shoe is a must. As you can imagine my ankle swells along with the rest of my foot. I wish I would have ordered the wide. I missed the return window so I will probably pass them on to a family worker. I do have another pair with a wider toe box that i purchased 5 years ago-I continue wearing them despite their worn look.

Everyone was telling me I should try a Hoka shoe. I order a medium width Hoka One One Arahi 5 style. When I got them and first tried them on they felt very comfortable. Loved the color (Light blue) But after wearing them around my house for a few hours my low back started to hurt. I guess it must be the shape of the shoe sole that kind of pushes you forward. I really wanted to love them but no dice -- Had to send them back. :(

This is my second pair of the Hoka Arahi. I have tried many other shoes and I just keep coming back to these. I work on my feet all day and sell scrubs and shoes to medical professionals, Hoka is one of our top sellers. The bottom covers your whole foot and keeps you from pronating or supinating. 10 out of 10!

I am a recreational runner, I run about 3-5 miles four to five days a week. I run mostly on roads and sometimes the treadmill. Over the years I have had stress fractures due to overpronation in my feet. I was in the market for a shoe that provided the best arch support. I tried Asics, New Balance, Brooks, Nike, and Saucony. Never with any luck or much comfort. Then I tried Hokas and I never went back. This shoe feels like you are walking on a cloud. They are lightest shoe I have ever owned and give the most arch support than any other shoe that I have tried. If you are suffering from stress fractures, look no further. You have found the perfect shoe.

I am new to Hokas but I’m a convert! I’ve got a myriad of foot issues- bunion, plantar fasciitis, pronation. Wide forefoot, narrow heel. I wear gel heel seats to keep my heels from banging around. The Hoka Arahi 5 in a wide width was perfect! The toe box is perfect and the heel is deep enough to accommodate my insert and still provide ankle support. So comfortable right out of the gate. If you’ve been wearing a shoe with a significant toe to heel differential it might take a few wears to adjust, but the low differential is SO critical to keep the PF at bay. I wear a 9 street shoe and a 9.5 sneaker. Went with the 9.5. Love them!

The bed of these shoes says "Stabilizer." It did, in fact, seem to gently "surround" my heel and stabilize my step. They offer moderate support along the entire shoe bed. They're an excellent all day shoe that reduces leg fatigue and seem stylish for casual wear. Hoka shoes are light, well-designed and provide ample cushioning with each step.

Having lived in urban areas for many, many years, I've run and walked on lots of pavement and gone through countless pairs of running/walking shoes. I've dealt with sore knees, aching ankles and feet, but no more! I discovered Hokas a few years ago and I can say without a doubt that they are the best shoes ever. No need to break them in, good to go right out of the box. Insanely supportive yet lightweight. Love them.

So far so good! I have only done about 20 miles so I can't speak to durability but it has helped me and my sad, VERY flat feet. I have a wide foot and the width and fit are great! First, run on these I was able to knock a huge chunk (nearly a full 60 seconds) off my usual split time.
