How can this shoe feel so terrible on my foot when the first Hoka's I got are still my favorite sneaker? It made my foot have nerve pain - a bad tingle. I've never had that before. It squeezed across the entire ball of the foot area and even loosening the laces all of the way didn't make it better. So grateful to Zappos for taking them back.

Was excited to try these. Been wearing Cliftons for years. These didn’t work for me. After half a mile on the treadmill, the bottoms of my feet were feeling pressure. I guess not cushy enough? Also, maybe I’m not a serious enough runner, but the crazy heel didn’t seem to do anything for me. And I could feel the hard tongue pushing against my ankle.

Very narrow shoes, sized up by 1.5 and they are still too narrow but now the shoes is too long. They also seem to curve inwards which is a little weird. Just not worth the money IMO.

I wear a 7.5 or 8 and I was swimming in the 7.5 regular width. They just felt cheaply made. I have high arches. And these have no arch support for me. I only had them on for a few mins, but when you arch is hanging up in the air, I know the shoes wont be good for me.

The shoes are beautiful shoes but they have been really hard to break in and leave my feet sore at tired at the end of a long shift. I'm hoping that it take longer to break them in but I've worn them for 2 weeks and my feet and legs kill me after ever shift I work .

I bought this because the guy fitting me with orthotics said the funny looking rear heel was to pad your heelstrikes. It did that, but there was no give. He explained that there is a stiff insole in the middle of the shoe making it more stable. It just felt rigid & unforgiving to me. So, I sent them back & got another pair of Hoka Bondi 7. So much more cushion & still very stable. The orthotics are a problem with my foot, not the shoe.

I apologize, I really don't like them. They run a little small and my toes rub and hurt all day long I would like to return them and purchase a larger size if I can do so. Please respond back and let me know Thanks so much, you are a loyal and dedicated customer

I love the fit but they are much stiffer than the bondi 7.

I bought them because they were rated the best on quite a few places. I love my other hoka sneakers but my feet and knees hurt in these

I have several different brands of carbon-plate shoes and all have a different feel that suits me well for different types of runs. I just wasn't feeling the Carbon X 2 -- they fit very large in the width (though the length was what I needed) and because of that, I felt like they didn't bend/move/give with my foot at all but rather were like little boats I was running on top of. I know people who love them but they just weren't for me.

Nice, but not good for overpronation.

I think these are just not suited for my feet. Although I think I can get used to them. My biggest issue is the toe box is super small and the heel collar is non existent. My heels slip and create blisters in these. If I lace them up tighter they are too tight other places. I have tried different sizes and different lacing patterns. Also. They make me feel knock-kneed and feel unstable laterally. I still plan to use them to alternate with a different pair so they have recovery time.

There is a seam that runs across the insole right where the ball of my foot lands. There is a gap in the foam and when I walk I can feel it and sometimes it even pinches my skin! Very poor design.

Shoes were very nice until they fell apart. I wear them for a 45 minute walk in the city, once a day, and they completely fell apart in 10 months...I hoped for at least a year...Way too expensive a shoe for such weak craftsmanship...

My toes are numb from these shoes. The laces keep coming undone. What a waste of time and money. Flimsy. Going back.

I wanted to love these, but they are causing forefoot pain that my other pair of Hokas and past Brooks never did. They also don't feel as cushy, so maybe they take longer to break in, but for the price point I don't recommend this shoe for wider feet. Would love to trade them!

I am on my 12th pair of Clifton Hokas! I wanted a faster shoe for Boston so bought these and so did my training partner. 6 miles into the marathon we were both MISERABLE. We had worn them twice on short runs to make sure they were ok but this shoe is not made for marathon running. The tongues were cutting into my ankle and both of us ended up with awful blistered toes and super sore feet. Very very disappointed to spend so much on a shoe and 30 miles on them and I can't wear again.

The edges of the sole of the shoes are fraying within a month of purchase. They are light and nice looking shoes but not good quality.

I wear a 7.5 or 8 and I was swimming in the 7.5 regular width. (And I usually get regular width or wide.) They just felt cheaply made. I have high arches. And these have no arch support for me. Arches didn't touch any part of the midsole.

Had the X1 and liked it upgraded to the X2 and not impressed. The tongue is higher and rubbed into my ankle during my first run on Thanksgiving.

I bought two pairs of these shoes and had to return them both because I did not like the wrinkled look on the top of the shoes above my toes. They arrived looking that way, started the return the very next day. Bought the Bondi 7. I love these! I will only buy these in the future!

I have 8 pairs of hookahs and they're all the size 9 and a 1/2. I got a 9 and a 1/2 in this shoe and it just runs way too small
