Nice-looking shoe but definitely too small.

I normally wear size 10 sneakers; 9.5 fits in Hoka One One. These were just not a good shape for my foot.

While I like the shoe, I thought there would be more padding in the sole, like my first pair of Hokas.

I have significant bunions and am size 8.5. These feel a little tight on the side when I put them on, but they seem comfortable as I walk in them. I love the "rocking" of Dansko for every day wear but not sure I like that feeling in my all-purpose walk, run, hike sneakers. Probably returning them.

These are comfortable shoes but I wanted ones that were BLACK. They are misnamed black iris/coral and are actually dark blue. Attractive but the name is deceiving.

This shoe really wasn't very comfortable. The heel had such a slant it was difficult to get used to so didn't work for me

The sole was much thinner in the toe box than I expected - not quite what I need on dirt/gravel trails.

I tried multiple pairs of Hokas. These seemed great but after a few hours of indoor use, my bunion was aching. The toe box is wide enough but it is too stiff for me.

I have plantar fasciitis and have been on a search for a comfortable shoe. Hoka always seems to be the brand recommended. I have tried three types so far, and they either haven't offered enough cushion or haven't fit right. I'm going to keep trying. I have slightly wide feet and bought these in wide; they don't feel too wide but weren't uncomfortable. There just wasn't enough cushion, and my heel hurt when walking around the house.

These are alright, but I don’t get the hype. They’re not as comfortable or as nicely made as other similarly priced shoes. The arch support and heel cup seemed nonexistent.

Not comfortable at all. Not enough cushion. Disappointed. Even with heavy socks they do not protect my sensitive feet from the hard surfaces of this shoe.

I bought the Hoka Challengers for everyday casual use and needed them in a hurry. They fit fine, but seem cheaply made compared to other Hoka's I have worn. They are definately not black, but instead are navy blue. Had I not needed a pair of shoes "right now", I would have returned them and tried something else. I would rate the Challengers as OK, not terrible but not great.
I'd also recommend:
G-Defy, Brooks

These were definitely too narrow for my feet as I thought these shoes were more created for wider feet.

Afraid the wides are too narrow - far more narrow than the Bondi in a wide width. And I so want a good hiking shoe with the early-stage meta rocker…….sigh.

UPDATE FROM PRIOR REVIEW: Unfortunately, I had to return these Sneakers. They were comfortable at first, but after two wears I was done. The pressure in my feet was enormous. Especially, in my heels and the balls of my feet. My feet actually hurt in these Sneakers. It's a shame because I really liked them at first. They're very nice looking, but didn't meet my expectations. They also made my feet look much bigger than they actually are. My feet looked like Side Show Bob. Lol! These are very well made Sneakers, just not for me. Not enough support.

I have slightly wide feet, and the regular width felt too narrow/tight. I have average arches, women's 8 or men's 6.5 (Europe 39). Also, even though Hoka is advertised as being cushioned, these did not feel any where near as cushioned/comfortable as Brooks Ghost in women's 8 wide (although looks-wise, the Hoka's are nicer).
I'd also recommend:
Brooks Ghost wide

the "upgrade" of this hoka is truly disappointing. feels like the cushioning is less and rigidity is more. Personally, it was perfectly balanced before. Now I am unable to run several miles. I get sore after 1. will now be on the search for something that works better. Wish they would not do these downgraded "upgrades".

I'm returning these because I don't think they will be supportive for very long. They feel quite soft and don't fit as well as my previous Hokas.

This is my fourth pair of HOKA's and probably my least favorite. They felt too long and the toe box did not fit well but I thought since all my other pairs were 9's that I just needed to break them in. I walk about 3-5 miles daily and they never got to fit better but instead started to hurt my feet. So I bought another pair in 8.5 and they fit better although the toe box still doesn't feel right. I'll continue to wear them but will not buy this model again. Looking to give away the 9's because I didn't pay attention to the 30 day return policy but will next time.

These are super comfortable and require no break in period. That said, the soles do not hold up to rocky trails, the tread pulls away and gets caught on rocks as you hike, causing a potential trip hazard. They would be great for smoother hiking trails but it's just too rocky here. I returned them and HOKA was great about giving me a credit for a different pair.

I have a pair of Clifton 6s in 8.5 WIDE that I LOVE and that are perfect other than the fact that they aren't as versatile for switching between road and trail running. That's what drew me to the Challenger ATR 6, so I ordered a pair in the same size (8.5 W). The Challengers definitely run more narrow. In the Clifton 6s I have plenty of room in the forefoot to run, get hot puffy feet, and not have any of my toes rub against the side of the shoe. The Challengers were pressing on my pinky toes the minute I put them on. Did not feel wide at all.
