Purchased my size. They felt small. Short in this case. Clicked the exchange procedure and requested the same shoes a half size larger. I shipped my current shoes back 2 days later. Been almost 3 weeks now, and still have not received the exchange larger shoes yet. How long does it take???

Oh my. Recommended as an alternate to my beloved Bondi 7's, I have had 3 pair. First of all, too narrow and not at all cushy. Also short, and I always order 8,5 R. Returned reluctantly for new Bondi 8, but Hoka did not have my requested color/size, so received refund instead. Went on the hunt to other retailers, and found Bondi 8 at LL Bean; quite a markup in price, and ordered .5 size larger per their recommendation, so size 9 R. OMG they look like clown shoes plenty comfy, but mighty wide and super ugly. Just returned to LL Bean today. I want Bondi 7's back

The right shoe insole cuts into my heel. Not as comfortable as I thought. Hopefully they will break in.

The shoes are super comfy and feel great to run in. However, I ordered the elderberry / lilac color and the shoes are not the same as pictured. Online the images the show the bottom of the show to be orange, but mine are black. I am a little disappointed that the shoes are not actually the same as advertised, but in the end this does not affect the it's comfort or performance.

I would take the questionnaire first and figure out what shoe would be right for me. I didn't know about that when I ordered. Next time I will do it right.

I finally gave in and bought a pair of these and it's basically one of the best decisions I've made for work apparel. They are super comfortable and stable and I can walk in them during the whole shift. I actually bought specifically these because I really liked the orange accents on top and on the bottom, but the ones I received have barely any orange on them, bottom soles are completely gray a little too boring for me.

I love the comfort of the shoes. This particular style I am not crazy about, but overall comfort is great!

But still not better than the Clifton 8 or the Arahi also I didn't like that much the material or could be the color makes them look cheap .

I have arthritis and spondylolisthesis (spine broke as a kid) and I got these shoes after they had been recommended time and time again. I am 5'3 and weigh approximately 260 lbs, I'm also AFAB. These shoes I do find to be supportive and help me stay balanced. I have a fairly active job and the shoes have served me well enough. They definitely were not created with active fat people in mind and I can see them wearing. They are replacing a pair of Reebok Terrex trail runners which were only slightly worse. The price difference between the two was a jump however. Also they do not match my clothing and I look stupid a lot, but seeing as I wear a 10 wide and needed something to keep me from slipping, these were the best choice.

Honestly, not in love with these. I had really high hopes, and finally spent the money...and my biggest complaint is that I like to wear thinner socks, and when I do, I can feel all these little elements of the construction of the shoe as I run. Not only is it annoying, but it starts really irritating my feet. I didn't think I had particularly sensitive feet, but honestly for shoes this expensive, they should have a "sock-like" feel on the interior! I like to run without socks sometimes, too--but there's no way with these. Of course you dont find this out until you've actually gone for a run in the shoes, so now I guess I'm a bit stuck to power through it...

I wore these to work for an 8 HR shift as a nurse. I can sit down during my shift. These started to hurt my feet. The soles are not very soft. They felt like a pair of Sketchers I tried on at the store! I will stick with the Bondi 8 . I gave these to my daughter. I need thicker , plush soles for these old feet!!!!!
I'd also recommend:
Bondi 7, Bondi 8

I ordered the wide because the narrow/medium in another style of Hoka was crazy narrow and felt very stiff. I don't normally wear a wide shoe. I am coming from Brooks Ghost 10.5 regular B width. I thought the wide would fit my new orthotics, the 10.5 was too long and these were too snug all the way around. I really wanted to love them as the color is so fun, but they are going back.

For me The toe box had alot of room. Foot slides back and forth even when laces are pulled tight.

I used this product for trail running. I don't think they have as much support as previous models of the Challengers. I've been buying challengers for a few years and there seems to be a big change in the base of the shoe.

The shoes fit fine and are cushioned, but I was disappointed by the color offerings. Wish you had cute, fun colors and not just boring orthopedic shoes.

I love these shoes but wanted a different color from the dark blue and orange. Unfortunately, they only have wide shoes in the dark blue/orange. I could wear these with thinner sox but they were still too tight. I tried both a 10.5 and an 11, 11 was too long as well as narrow. I would've tripped in those.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka, /Brooks/Salomon

I've run in the Challenger ATR since version 2- mostly trail & long distance. Have loved it .. . .until v6. I've got custom orthotics & this latest version's heel cup is not deep enough to keep my heel in the shoe- no matter what lacing strategy I employ. I've tried switching models, and it seems to be a consistent problem I'm having across the HOKA lineup. Please bring back the v5 fit ( with the padded tongue). . . .

I love my Hokas.... but I don't live near a store which sells them, so I need to purchase online. I purchased the new version (6) in the same size as the shoe I have had for multiple orders, and this time the shoe is too big. Super frustrating. Why can't you get the sizing consistent? I needed to use them, so didn't return them, and now am using a pair of shoes too big for me.

Unable to use as the heel is so sunken down that it wraps around your heel and doesn't feel good. Width on toe box is good though.

I expected more comfort from a Hoka shoe. I have the trail shoes and wanted a shoe for trail and road. I think I’ll just buy the Hoka shoes for the road. Those are much more comfy on the feet.

Like most Hokas, the Challenger ATR is comfortable out of the box with little break in time required. I took these hiking once, and on a handful of dog walk/runs before the tread actually tore and was flapping. Less than 25 miles total wear, and I'm either gluing them or sending them back. Customer service is great with Hoka, and they will take returns even if you purchased them at a run shop, which is what I did. This brings me to the problem of what to do with my return credit. The Speedgoat's have better soles, but I've tried these on in store before and they are narrow and constricting. My issues with ordering in Wide is twofold: I do not have wide feet, and wide sizes (as well as ordering up a half size) tends to cause heel slippage. I am a true blue size 8 with high arches. What I want in a trail shoe is a foot shaped toe box AND ultra cushioning, but that would require that my two favorite running shoe companies have a love child. May I introduce you? Can we make this happen?
