Good for walking but not enough support or traction for urban trails I go on. I like that these are not overly wide on my feet like the other Hikas but still not enough arch support. I also felt they were kind of hard inside. The insoles need to feel a bit softer.

As with all the Hoka shoes I have purchased I greatly appreciate the wide toe box and comfort. However as a trail shoe I do prefer the Scapegoat to this Challenger model. This shoe does not seem to have as much cushioning or traction as the Scapegoat. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

They are supportive but I still love the bondi feel better, I love the support and comfort, they aren't as light and cushy as the bondi. Great shoe, with solid support, and I would recommend.

I'm a recent HOKA convert & can't wait to go hiking, walking &/or running every day because these shoes are soooooo comfortable. Sadly, there are not many options available in a Wide width, so I was excited there was a black pair listed, but, despite the name; these are dark blue & NOT black :(. They fit great on my [slightly wider] foot, so I'll keep em, but I won't wear them nearly as much as I would if they were actually black in color.

I was skeptical when I was shown these for trail running because of the shallow lugs... I should've listened to my inner voice, "These are trail shoes???" So, I have found that they work best for pavement. I've slide on gravel and trail both- especially wet roots and rocks! Very comfortable and light otherwise, but NOT a trail shoe. Will be looking at the Torrent or Evo Mafate for the better lug next time.

They fit great

I wear a size 7.5 and ordered a size 8; in-store fitting recommended I get an 8.5 but purchased another pair size 8.5 and although the cushion was very comfortable, they aggravated my feet causing my plantar fasciitis to flare up (wish I could trade those in for the right size!); However, this new pair I ordered provides the support needed, and so far so good!

My first pair of low trail runners since my foot/ankle injury - was using mid speedgoats for ankle support but they are hard to get into when I'm in a hurry and go for a short run. They work fine so far - may review again when I put more miles on them

These are really comfortable and have a cushion feel when waking/running. My only complaint is they feel wide which makes my foot feel unstable sometimes. I've purchased thicker socks to wear with my Hokas as the other pair I purchased feels the same.

I love my new Hoka shoes. I consider myself a new Hoka member for as long as the brand keeps the good quality for my workout game.

I bought these in a size 7w in conjunction with the Speedgoats 4 let me start with these are much better I usually wear a 6.5W but for athletic shoes I always size up. They are very comfortable and plenty of cushion, the wide width is perfect not to loose and not tight at all . The issue is my left foot seems to have too much room on the bottom left heal and cause friction which lead to a blister however my right foot had no issues. Maybe I just need thicker socks but I would still recommend, these made the trail walk easier and light on my feet they also have a very nice grip better than the Speedgoats 4.

I bought these for more room in the toe box on trails and that worked out well with these. The fit is great, no slipping inside the shoe. My only negative comment is that I would prefer better tread with more grip and slightly more stiffness/stability in the sole on the trail terrain. Cushioning is more than I am used to but felt great.

Haven't bought this model but have loved the other ones. I sure wish they made size 12 in wide. I don't know why they quit making wides at size 11. I buy the 12 but it is a bit too tight.

My feet are happy. I just do not like the way they look. Wish you had better colors.

I love this shoe! I have an ankle injury and the cushioning and support that this shoe gives allows me to get back to some of my favorite activities. However, they definitely do not last very long (maybe a trade off for a soft shoe?). If you will find yourself over rocky terrain, consider another shoe. I've had mine for 3 weeks and I've already started to wear down the sole significantly.

I like the ones I have had with the more cushion but these are great too. I like the brought colors so hope to get another great pair in the wide width!
