Mesh on top was thin and I am thinking it would only be a month or so before your big toe poked right through. This shoe doe not seem to be of the usual Asics quality. I was very disappointed especially after going up a half size and toe issue still there ands shoe was still tight.

Have to return these. My regular shoe size is 8, I ordered 8.5 and they were still too short. Too bad because they were the color I needed.

I never write reviews but I wanted to share about this shoe. I ordered 1/2 size bigger and I could barely get my foot into it and I even had thin socks on.

Ordered a 9 wide, my usual size, could barely fit my foot in the shoe first thing in AM. order a full size up:(

I own these sneakers in a size 11. I purchased an 11.5 so my orthotics would fit in them. The sneakers sent read 11.5 but they were a true 11. I was a bit annoyed b/c delivery was a 3 weeks wait and now I have to return them

ASICS STOP changing your f**king shoes. These are not the same at all as the Gel Contend 5’s. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, they’re literally smaller and I have the exact same size. Sick of this crap. ASICS makes great shoes but they are not consistent at all. Why you gotta make new shoes every year and change minor things about them that make them unwearable? It’s idiotic.

The shoes are very attractive; however, even though I ordered a half size larger (9 1/2) and wide, they were too tight in the toe box, even when laced loosely. My last pair of Asic gels were 9 wides and fit beautifully. I was not wearing a thick sock either. I’ll be returning these, unfortunately.

Not a comfortable shoe for me!

Felt very tight on my feet and it seemed to not like my wide hips. Felt some pain in the outer thighs. I think my right foot tends to wander when I walk and this shoe didn’t like that.

I have worn asics “contend” series for numerous pairs of shoes. Sorry to say that the contend 7 didn’t measure up. My usual size felt tight and short! Going to try to go up 1/2 size and see if that resolves the problem.

I should have heeded ALLLLL of the other reviews. These shoes have become NARROW! They’ve changed the fit and I’m actually stopping by UPS & returning today. ??

What has happened to Asics? These are terrible. They are far tighter than my usual size in Asics. The quality is noticeably poorer and that "cheap shoe smell" is radiating off them. Very disappointing.

This is the second day I have worn these shoes. They are uncomfortable. My left shoe doesn’t feel the same as the right and feels to tight around the top of my foot, even with the laces loose to where I can hardly tie them. The right shoe at the toe that rubber piece already can see the glue holding it on like it wants to come off. This is my first pair of ASICS and I am not impressed at all. I am not to picky with shoes so this is a real bummer.

These are garbage. Not sure why they’re highly rated. I love my GEL-Contend 5’s. These are nowhere near as comfortable. Too narrow, not true to size (they are too tight and I have a narrow foot - so that should tell you something). I’ve also never even felt compelled to write a review here until I got these shoes. I wish ASICS would stick to their designs that work. Even the heel area is too short. I literally walk 7 miles a day, these shoes would not be able to handle that. Oh and I wore normal ankle socks, so please tell me why my socks are all bunched up? ASICS - do better. If I had money to burn, I would set these sneakers on fire, but alas I can only get a refund.

I normally wear a 7.5 wide, so that’s what I ordered. They don’t seem very wide, and are certainly not long enough, my big toe was touching the front of the shoe. They seem to have good cushion, and are fairly comfortable, except for being too short and too narrow.

Worst shoe to stand in ever. Whoever did the review on how good they fit was obviously paid. Had to return the first pair for a defect in the sole, 2nd pair is smaller and tighter to the point I cannot wear them. Nor can I return them due to policy. So in the donation pile they go! Guess I'm SOL on my money for them. No more shoes from Zappos for me!

THese arrived and look really cute but i got a size 6 and they are smaller than my daughters old shoe which is a 5.5- luckily i can sell them to a friend but annoying - they clearly run very small

I have narrow feet, but the size 9 didn’t fit. The item was returned for a 9 1/2. It was bought as a work shoes, and it served its purpose.

Nice classic look. Good comfort

These are so comfortable that I used them often for walking and later for working out. Size and width are on point!
