The pink color is brighter than the picture. It is powder pink color like a baby girl shower. The gray is closer to steel gray. The color combo is pretty! My size is 10 Narrow and the width is perfect. I always order 10.5 so my toes have more room when I walk. Yes I get running shoes for walking. Walking shoes make me look like an older person.

I always get a whole size bigger in my walking/running shoes and that still works well with ASICS. They have a nice firm footbed which is what I like. Memory foam does not hold up for me in this type of shoe. I’ve been getting the ASICS Contend for several years and they don’t disappoint. Another feature I love is that the laces aren’t uselessly long and they stay tied without having to double knot them. Two things that are a pet peeve with me on other brands.

These are SUPER COMFORTABLE & sturdy!! True to size & very supportive. I love the pink & grey together and they fit so well. I was debating a lighter (more white) color for Spring/Summer, but I ultimately decided on these because I don't want to be worried about getting them dirty/cleaning them all the time. I've never worn ASICS before. Super comfy & happy with this purchase.

Style is super cute and I wanted them to fit, especially for the price. I ordered the Wide width and it was still narrow, it felt like a regular width.

These shoes are my favorite! I love ASICS! They are the only athletic shoe I like to wear, and I've been wearing them for years. I am a size 9 in regular shoes, but I am always a size 9.5 with ASICS. I really like the way these ASICS (and all the others I've owned) don't make my foot look huge too. These shoes have really nice support in all the right places and then they have a bit of memory foam too, which actually makes them feel really nice. I originally bought the white and grape colored ones, but decided to return them for the gray and pink ones. I was too afraid the white ones would get dirty fast... even though they are really pretty. But I'm very happy with the gray and pink and they are also really pretty. The pictures in one of the other reviews here with the gray and pink shoes really sold me on them. They look exactly like her pictures and the pictures here on Zappos. Could not be happier with the shoes and also with Zappos customer service! Would absolutely recommend!

I absolutely love the look of these shoes. As a runner and regular athlete, I will likely reserve these for daily use and walking, as they do not feel as soft or supportive as some of the other ASICS models. I've been wearing them around for about a week and while they are not what I'd call "heavy duty", they have remained comfortable. The color is even prettier in person and I'll be doing my best to keep them as clean as possible. Overall takeaway: looks great, fits true to size, not for high performance.

This is my second pair of Asics-Gel Contender 7. This moderately priced running shoe outperforms other higher-priced shoes, not just in wear comfort but also in construction. This shoe does not fall apart in less than 6 months like other high-dollar shoes have. They are easy to clean to keep them looking like new. I have a high arch and the Asics-Gel Contender 7 is very comfortable.

I bought the Contend-6 for my 8 y/o daughter about 5 months ago (in a size 5 Women's). She is super tall and thin. She loves them. So, I ordered the Contend-7 in a half size up for the new school year. We were disappointed when they arrived. The Contend-7 (in a size 5.5 Women's) is 1/2 inch shorter than last season's size 5. Very strange. We are returning and going to order a size 6.5 and see how that works out.

I have a very hard time finding athletic shoes that fit. These come in my size and width and fit perfectly. They are supportive and my feet don't hurt when I wear them for hours. Only 2 starts for style because I think athletic shoes are ugly and would never wear them as fashion.

They are tight over the toes. Seems the sizes are not what they used to be.

I always order ASICS, for the last 2yrs at least, they are the best fit for me. I got these yesterday and have to say they seem great. They fit true to size, always an 8.5 for me, they are light and seem to have plenty of cushion (of course I’ve only had them for a day but hopefully it lasts). I do a lot of walking so I might order another pair, one for every day and the other for walking. At this price point why not? I got the black/hot pink color and they are really cute.

IM a 8 ..... too small like really too small so I order the 9 1/2 just because that’s how small the 8 is so now the 9 1/2 is too big . Order one size up for this sneaker .

I have been missing my Asics Gel-Nimbus shoes! Ever since the toe box and comfort changed, I have been searching for another alternative. I think that I have found it - FINALLY! The toe box on the Gel-Contend feels like the "old" Gel-Nimbus. It's not too small, and the comfort level in the toe are wonderful! The description says "an everyday shoe," but I've been working out in them, and they are perfect!

Really great supportive shoes. These shoes are great for people with high arches.

I have a very wide fit and have a hard time finding shoes that fit. I got the Asics in a 6.5 wide and the fit was good. I just would like to see better arch support in this sneaker since the footbed is very flat. But they were wide enough and I could wear them comfortably so kept them. The Ryka Devotion plus 3 were an even better fit for me and have a good arch in them so those are my favorite of the two, but I kept both.

These fit like a glove and are cushioned but supportive. I wear a 10 in relaxed fit Skechers and usually a 10.5 in running shoes (when I can find it), but I ordered at 10.5 Wide in these Asics (my foot is just a little bit wide in the forefoot, narrower at the heel). They fit just right and don't pinch or rub at the widest part of my foot. I had to loosen up the laces a little more than usual to get these on - but I think that's just how they're supposed to fit. I got the gray with pink laces - the gray is a medium gray as other reviewers said. Good purchase.

Great walking sneaker, right out of the box! I bought the wide width, and it’s got a very generous toe box. I need a style to address supinating (not easy to locate—but thanks for being able to search here, Zappos). These these felt very light but supportive. The extra padding around the ankle is very helpful and comfortable too!

I first got these in a 9 1/2. Had to exchange for a 10. Not sure if these were running a bit small or if I need a little more space than I use to.

If you are like me with wide flat feet with bunion(s) & have a hard time finding sneakers or shoes to fit well and comfortable, these Asics Gel's are for you!! I picked the grey & pink ones. There are no seams that cross your bunions and the arch doesn't have that steel feel under your foot, but still has great support.. So happy to have found these. So happy that they came in Wide Width!!

Love Asics but returning for medium width. My feet are between a mdeium and wide width. Was hoping these would fit but a little too roomy. returning and getting in medium width and will stretch them.

This review is 1 star for the shoe and 5 stars for Zappos' shipping. I'm so disappointed in ASICS. I've been wearing a version of this shoe for about 10 years. But in the past two years, the fit has gotten progressively tighter with every new order I've placed. I've already moved up a half size (from 8.5W to 9W), but the toe box just gets smaller and smaller. The materials also feel cheaper, and the shoes have much less cushioning than they used to — no fresh-out-of-box "oooooh!" anymore. (I'm not having this experience with any other shoe — still wearing the same size and having the same comfort with other brands.) I've moved abroad since I ordered these, so I'm wearing them — but if I were still in the States, I'd be returning them and looking for another brand.

It felt shorter and narrower than what I expected

These, even compared to the same shoe bought a year ago, are SO UNCOMFORTABLE. It's like they forgot the insole. They have no cushion, no support, and are heavy in comparison to the same older shoe. These have to be counterfeit for how low quality they are.
