The Glycerin 19 were smaller than my old pair had to go up to a size 10. (I have worn a 9 1/2 for the last 5 years so I do not think it was my feet getting bigger). They also feel a bit thicker and more bulky than the glycerin 18. I have worn the Glycerin for about 8 years now and the last model the Glycerine 18 is by far my favorite style. I wish they would of kept the shoe how it was.

They are ok, they really dig into the back of my heels though.

These shoes would've fit perfectly if there was enough room for orthotic inserts. I have wide but very short feet (size 4.5 - 5), and I also have plantar fasciitis and was looking for shoes with enough cushioning. But once I put an insert in these shoes, there wasn't enough room for my heels to fit in the shoe. Every step I took, my heels felt like they were slipping out, so sizing up wouldn't have made a difference. The shoelaces were so short that I couldn't even slip them into the extra shoelace hole to tighten the shoe around my heel. The shoes look good but for the price, are very poorly designed. After just one day of wearing these to work in the hospital facility I work at (I'm a healthcare worker who runs around treating patients), my plantar fascia felt horrible. Now I'm back at square one trying to find cushioned shoes for plantar fasciitis that aren't too big or too small. The plus side is that this company allows returns after wearing the shoes outside. I wish other companies could adopt this policy...

Runs true to size and comfortable except it cuts into the outside of the arch leaving my foot really bruised.

Surprised by the fit and the looks. I've been running in nothing but Brooks Glycerin and the occasional Ghost for years. They've all fit perfectly, and all very much the same. This model all of a sudden feels a tad small. I imagine the upper will give a little once they're broken in, but I feel like my toes might bump up against the tip of the shoe on a run. If I can try them out on the road and still return them if they don't fit, I'll give them a try, otherwise they have to go back. I'm just afraid I'll regret keeping them. The looks were a bit of a disappointment, too. I ordered them in Peacoat/Diva Pink/Black because they looked cool in the pictures on the website. They looked black, and the name says black. But they're blue. Not a big deal but not what I expected.

This is my 2nd pair of Brooks Glycerine shoes and I have always worn a size nine but this pair seems very narrow and just doesn?t fit as well as my last pair which were the 18. Disappointing.

I had the Glycerin 18?s in a 7.5 size and they fit so well. I got the same size in the Glycerin 19?s and it has been a tight squeeze. Anytime I walk, it feels as if my toe is jamming into the front of the shoe. I recommend going up a half size for comfort. (Low key annoying that the sizing has changed)

This was my first time trying Brooks Glycerin, and sadly I was left underwhelmed. For years I had heard of the phenomenal cushioning of this style. I am only 37 but already need a hip surgery so suffice it to say, I need a bit more cushioning than someone else my age! These were supportive but felt very hard. I was hoping for just a bit more cushioning.

When a shoe doesn't fit, it is difficult to rates its overall likeability and comfort. I normally wear an 8.5 Narrow in Brooks Ghost - even with orthotics. However, this size is too tight in the Glycerin 19. I plan to return the 8.5N and try a different size.

Not as comfortable as the Ghost. The heel is a little stiff which rubs the Achilles’ tendon. The arch support is poor.

Runs smaller and more narrow than Brooks Ghosts. Although I did think the cushioning was better than Ghost.

I have to say I am a little disappointed in these shoes. I have bought this brand and style many times. These are just not as comfortable as they usually are… I always get an 8.5 wide and they still feel snug. And the tongue seems to be shorter.

Comfy footbed but heel comes up too high and rubs painfully. Have to return.

The size felt slightly small. I would constantly get blisters on my heels and would have to be out of them for a week to heal. I thought it was just having to break them in. But then the shoes gave me first met head pain as well.

I've been running in Ghost for a few years now but started to get hip tendonitis (not the shoes' fault - I'm injury prone) and wanted to try out the Glycerin. First thing: I ordered my usual size 9.5 (in normal shoes I'm 8.5/9) and they were WAY too small. Ended up trying again with a 10.5. First run outside at ~2.5 miles was good, but when I took them to the treadmill for a 3 mile run after 2 miles the bottom of my feet started burning. Normally I'd order a bigger size, but going to size 11 feels ridiculous to me. Never had this issue with Ghost. NOTE: I wear custom orthotic insoles and remove the Brooks insoles, so this may be an issue unique to me.

I order 1/2 size up as suggested. I usually wear an 8 1/2. They feel a little large, but I think my normal size would have been to small. The back of the shoe digs into the back of my ankle making it very sore and uncomfortable. I wish I hadn't worn them trying to break them in

I love the Glycerin. Have been running in them for years! Unfortunely the sizing seems to have changed with these..I have worn a size 10 in all models for years, when I put this pair on I immediately noticed they are very small. After reading the reviews it seems like others have experienced the same thing. I will be needing to go up to a 11 next time.

The size was spot on but it felt wider than a medium width. Personally, the Glycerin doesn't offer the support the Adrenalin does for me. Whereas the Adrenalin feels as if my foot is wrapped snugly and comfortably, the Glycerin feels loose and sloppy. The Glycerin, too, just feels as if it is is made with cheaper materials.

I did not like how the base or sole of shoe was so wide from the cloth of the shoe. It looks odd and could be a tripping hazard for me playing sports.

After several attempts to really want this shoe to work, the design still doesn’t come close enough to earlier versions. Compared to an earlier model, this shoe was much heavier and bulkier making me wonder why they needed to modify something that wasn’t broken IMO. Unfortunately, I must exit the Brooks line for another brand.

This is my 6th pair of Glycerin shoes and have always ordered the same size (8.5) but for some reason these ones ran small and I needed a half size up. Strange but grateful for Zappos easy shipping snd returns.
