Meh. This isn’t a bad shoe, but it is a step down from the Glycerin 18. The biggest change is with the upper material above the toes. It has much more stretch than the 18s, which caused my foot to splay out more and wiggle/slide around. Cushion is good, not great.

Been in Glycerins since the 17, with a couple pairs of Adrenalines and Ghosts as well, and the lateral side of the toe box in the 19 is now curved and rubs against my 4th and 5th toes even in the 2E sizing. Tried going up a size and that was too sloppy. I admit this curve does make the shoe more attractive to look at but who cares? Perusing your web site it seems like "the new improved fit" on all your models incorporates this lateral curved toe box. How about keeping one model on the old straight lateral toe box last? Everything else is as expected, outstanding.

Nothing was wrong with this shoe. I just happened to try the New Balance 1080v11 and it was everything.

I absolutely love this shoe. I run four miles daily. My heals used to ache at night like a toothache. I no longer have that problem at all. I gave four stars because after about three months they began to lose the shape and stretch out a bit making for a loose fit that allows too much movement in my foot. I immediately purchased another pair as I feel that they are worth it! I did not throw them out. I now wear them for work. I am a registered nurse and stand eight to ten hours a day three days a week. My Glycerin 19?s have not let me down. My heals have not hurt me since I purchased them!!!! Thank u for this awesome shoe!!!!

Very cushy. Felt kinda clumpy and heavy. It dug into my heal. All and all not that bad of a shoe. It isn?t really meant for my run stride

This shoe is true to size for me (10.5), the glycerin has and continues to have the most comfortable upper in any running shoe I?ve tried. The traction is great even in wet conditions. The reason for the markdown is because for a shoe that?s supposed to be the most cushioned in the lineup, it?s fairly firm; I?d say it?s medium firm. I?d love for Brooks to release the next version with more softness for that pillowy feel you don?t quite get with these Even still this is a great shoe with endless comfort that serves as a solid daily trainer

Man! I love this shoe! I?ve worn Brooks before, but this is my first Glycerin. This 19 may be the most cushy running shoe I?ve worn. You may have read or heard criticism of the 19 running small or too narrow in the toebox?this is true. I wear a size 14 and need all the room my shoes will allow. However, I?ve noticed, like running shoes sometimes do, that the Glycerin 19 molded to my feet after a few runs. Am I making sense? Am I talking crazy? The toebox could not have expanded, but it sure feels that way. I?m happy with this model. So much so that when I buy my new pair of running shoes each year, from now on, I?ll be trying on the newest Glycerin. Hope this review is helpful.

Sufficient padding all around, except the landing area of the sole, I can use more. Arch support is tolerable for my very flat arch area.

Great shoes… but went 1/2 size up after reading reviews. Am sending back and going a full size up. But great service and shoes.

The Brooks Glycerin 19 would have been my go-to running shoe if the tread gripped the road better. There is a slight shuffle when running with the current tread design. This holds true of other Brooks running shoes that I've tried. Please address this soon, because I'd like to wear Brooks shoes. As it is, I've returned the Brooks running shoes that I've tried.

I bought these shoes at my Dr's advice. I'm not a runner so I can't comment on how they perform as running shoes.

True to fit, wider at the toe box then expected. The mesh upper and lacing work well together and sole - as usual is pliable and smooth. Cannot say I love the colors, but overall a solid daily runner.

Shoes are light weight, good arch support but average cushion in heels.

This is my first Brooks shoe, I usually wear Asics because of the comfort, I haven?t been wearing my glycerin 19 that long but so far it is on par with ASIC.

These were pretty good -- seemed just a little bit smaller than the Glycerin 18. I'm a 73-year old runner and have to take care of my feet. Running is one thing that keeps my energy level up. I buy the Glycerin line for their cushioning.

I owned the Glycerin 7 for the past 10 years or so. These are a decent replacement although I'm sad that it doesnt have a rounded bottom like the version 7 had (reason for one less star) - eventually worn away to a flat bottom, now used as normal sneaks (soles are in excellent condition for such an old pair of shoes). I feel like the version 19 I'm going to eat through the whole sole like I do with other shoes, since it starts out flat instead of having to work my way through the roundness part. Shoes are still great quality, will enjoy them.

I would give it 5 stars if it came in 4E width. Best cushion shoe on the market, especially in the GTS model. Stability and cushioning!

stable w cushioning appreciated. Durometer of the outsole could be increased a bit to further improve overall stability to aid in propulsive phase activity which in turn translates into less energy consumption. Aesthetics always a plus along with a good fit.

It's comfortable but I feel like there is a lot less support in my ankles by the way my foot sits in the shoe. I wish I would have got the 19 with support the other option. Thank you.

I have been running in Brooks for years, I prefer the Glycerin cushioning for my long runs. In my opinion, the Glycerin 19 has more cushioning in the toe box and middle of the shoe than the Glycerin 18. This was a nice addition and really adds to the comfort on longer runs. Overall, this is a great shoe for anyone who intends to run long distances.

Very comfortable shoe. My only complaint would be even at a 2E, feel narrow to me.
