The glycerin running shoes I purchased recently are very good. The only caveat is that they are pretty tight around the heel.

Treads are already wearing off after 70 miles (2 weeks). Seems like the rubber soles are softer than the transcends I have.

Well cushioned; toe box still a bit too narrow for me.

There?s nothing like the 14?s! Good comfort and control. And the mesh didn?t break apart at the upper toe as do some of the newer models. And I like the 18?s better than the 19?s. They are supposed to keep improving!!

I've had a few pair of Brooks Glycerin models, and really appreciate the well-cushioned soles. I usually just walk 2-3 miles per day.

Extremely comfortable and light, but they make your feet hot. Perhaps different socks might make it better.

I like the shoes, although they do require a brief break-in period which was unnecessary in previous Glycerin models. They seem a little smaller in size, or perhaps it is because there is so much extra sole cushion. The smaller fit is noticeable in the way they lace up and in the positioning of the toes during a run. I suggest going a half size bigger than the glycerin 18.

I?ve worn Glycerin for approximately ten years. Essentially, same great fit with this model as those in the past. The only downside with this model is that the sole appears much thicker. I?m not sure if Brooks is trying to compete with Hoka, but I?m not a big fan of the significant sole.

Very comfortable shoe but the wide was not quite wide enough for my dad. We are sadly going to return it. Wish they made a 4e in the glycerin!

The fit was good, the quality of the tread was not acceptable. It was lacking in ability to absorb my running on pavement and wear would be excessive.
I'd also recommend:

I?m not a ?runner?, so maybe I?m not the right person to rate the shoes. However, I need a very cushioned shoe due to a recent injury, and these shoes fit the bill for that very well; they?re firm but well cushioned. The issue I had was sizing, since they run small (I am usually 8.5-9 D, but need a 10 D in Brooks shoes). But once I got the right size, they?re great.

Very good shoe, the wide toe box makes a big difference for me. The extra bounce in the heel is also nice. I would prefer to have more - something - at the base of the toes since I have Morton's neuroma. Also, I do not run. I walk about 6 to 8 miles a day, every day, so having something to support the neuroma would be even better.

I am a pronator, and I tried to order the Ariel, but it was completely sold out online. These seemed to be the next most supportive model. They are very comfortable, but not nearly as supportive as I need. If I had a neutral foot, these would be awesome, but I need a more shoe.

I had originally bought the D width but needed it to be wider so got the 2E, it is a bit wider but doesn't feel like by much.

I like them, but I feel they are a little snug in the toe box. I wear a size 15. I also wish they were a little lighter and more springy. I'm looking forward to the Glycerin '20s with its DNA Loft V3.

I prefer a size 7 1/2 2 E. The reviews said they run small so I took chance and ordered these expensive shoes. I am going to have to wear small socks instead of socks I find more comfortable. I wish they made size 7 1/2, 2E.

Heavily cushioned and very comfortable. Buuut, the trade-off for the comfort is that the cushioning takes some of the kinetic energy from my stride and makes running a little more sluggish. Probably perfect for someone with compromised joints. Not built for speed.

I love the shoe. I am not a runner. I wear this model because I have a variety of painful problems with my feet. This shoe gives me the least amount of pain and discomfort of any shoe I have worn since the 1970s. I cannot give it a f ive star rating because I want the light-colored model in wide, and it is never available. Ever.

Not as comfortable as my 17th but they are well broken in and are very comfortable. I'm sure these will get there. Nothing like a Brooks.

Read reviews on the glycerin 19 prior to purchasing and quite a few of the posts commented on the tight toe box. Having a narrower foot, I decided to order a half size up to see how they felt. At first, the toe box did seem unusually small/tight but after a couple of weeks it seems to be somewhat better. I'll give them a few more weeks though before making a final decision.
