Things about the shorts I like: 1. They are two-in-one shorts, which I have a hard time finding from other companies. When I do, the other options don't fit as well. 2. They have a convenient zipper pocket. Things I do NOT like: 1. The material has become thinner and less durable over time. I have a pair of sherpas from about 8 years ago that are still great. Every pair since then has had the inner lining fall apart. Often the degradation will go unnoticed and then out of nowhere, I'll finish a run and the sensitive inner parts of my legs are cut up and rashy, and the inner lining has a big hole in it. I recently threw out a pair that was only 1 year old and just noticed that the replacement pair I recently bought has a small hole in the inner lining after only 4 uses. 2. The material is so thin, that it doesn't always leave much to the imagination when it comes to obscuring your front genital area. If I know I'm going to be in a group of people, I always remind myself to wear a longer shirt. 3. The price...my 1st pair about 8-ish years ago were around $45, which I thought was high then, but justified the cost because of the quality. The shorts now are almost $80 full price, which is up about $20 from 2 yrs ago. Unless I'm able to find these shorts on super sale, I'm not sure I can continue justifying the trade off because the quality seems to be going down as the price goes up, up, up.

They are good for short distances but after a few miles on my long runs I chafe on the inside of the crotch area.

I liked that is very light. I expected a better second layer. Unfortunately the short felt loosely in the waist.

I loved the shorts when I got them, however after less than a year of running in them, the inner lining has deteriorated and ripped on both pairs I purchased. I would have hoped to get more life out of them.

Lovely fit, love the secure waist. Lining rubs one thigh, just in one spot, right in the corner. Shame. Paid more for the lining, I suppose, and now most likely will remove it. Would buy similar short with better inner lining - or none at all. Would not buy again in current condition.

Ran my first 10 miles in these shorts yesterday. I was not as pleased as I had hoped. First off, the boxer brief doesn?t really keep your junk in place. They are built with a very flat front. There is no ?pouch? to contain your manliness. I will leave the ready to your imagination. Second, the zippered pocket was something I was excited about. However, the zipper pull is pretty large and is in the swing of your right hand. After you hit it for the 100th time, it can get annoying. Oh well, I guess I know what to look for next time.

They were too big and I had to return them. I used an exclusive 25% discount code for doing a 12 week survey. When I tried to purchase the correct size the discount code didn't work. I have emailed twice and no one will give me a new code.

I'm so disappointed in these shorts. The storage capability is great (especially the phone pocket) and in theory, a built-in liner is super convenient, but the mesh-like material of the liner is super flimsy and is already splitting and fraying after only a couple months of use. I bought several pairs of these shorts and I'm now regretting the decision. First time I've been let down by quality of Brooks products. Sadly, will not be buying again.
