Shorts are the most comfortable running shorts I have owned. The downside is the phone pocket Not sure what model phone will fit in that pocket. The zippered pocket is not wide enough to hold a Samsung 22 +.

Great shorts all around. The back pockets are fantastic for long-distance gels and the zipper pocket is great for cards and keys. The waste band feels a little loose (the elastic), but it is made up for by the tie in the front, and while I was skeptical of the wide waste band, it's much more comfortable than any other shorts I own.

great 2 in 1 shorts with no chafing and lots of storage. Would love a pair with a similar 2 in 1 setup and phone pocket (perhaps an option for it to be on the left side) and normal side pockets for shorter runs and other activities before/after running

I love these shorts - super soft, great liner - great storage but if these had the rear zip pocket that comes on the regular Sherpa shorts they would be just about perfect.

They perform as expected. The compression strength of the liner is very light, so if you're looking for true compression shorts, probably not the right shorts for you.

The fit nicely and my phone doesn't bounce. Some mighty chafing happening on long runs but I think I can solve that with antichafe stuff.

The waist/draw string is more difficult to tighten than it should be. Otherwise the shorts are great. I really like the pockets.

The shorts were true to size and EXTREMELY comfortable. My only disappointment was the phone pocket, which didn?t really hold my phone (iPhone+) tightly to my thigh. I was hoping for the same non-bounce it get from winter tights. Other than that they?re great.

At 5'11, 240lbs I do not have the typical runner build but I still love to run. I often have trouble finding shorts that stay in place . These shorts stayed in place for my entire 5 mile run without the constant need to pull them back up into place. I think i adjusted them 3 times for my entire run. I will add that I DID NOT use the phone pocket to carry my phone. So i cannot say how that would have impacted the ability of these shorts to stay in place. I run with my phone in an armband. The best thing about these shorts to me is the liner. It is a huge improvement over the bikini brief liner. Let's be honest..i sweat and i have thighs. Often a bikini liner causes skin irritation and chaffing from the constant friction/rubbing. With the new boxer brief liner there was no friction letting me end my run irritation free and without feeling like something was trying to saw me in half. The material of the short is lightweight and breathable. I am ordering two more today.

Liked everything about these shorts except for except the liner. There is one seam that just is off and blew out in the worst spot and made the shorts un wearable.

Shorts were not bad but the liner was baggy in the back so not comfortable at all.

Phone pocket too small and awkward. It should be on the other side and part of the spandex lining so it doesn?t flop around.

To make a great 2 in 1, you have to have a great liner, snug and supportive while flexible. I am 6?3? 190lbs and they fit ?relaxed.? Wish they were a bit more compressive. The liner rides up on my thigh and bunches up on the shell material between my thighs requiring adjustment on hot sweaty runs. I wish the liner extended past the exterior shell material to avoid this. And while I appreciate the thought behind the pocket designs, i do wish for a regular side pocket every now and then. This is a second option to my Nike Flex Stride 2 in 1 compression shorts.

Not as good a fit. I like the length but the waist runs bigger than expected.

I was hoping these shorts would eliminate the need to carry a belt on a short run but I didn?t care for the overall fit and how the side with the phone sagged. I will wear these occasionally but they will not be my ?go to? shorts.

Great running shorts, but not very happy about the color ?Frosted Lead?. The name and website appearance are deceiving, as I thought I was getting something in a shade of grey. The color is lavender/purple pastel.

Pros: perfect length. Great color. Comfortable feel. Love the pocket setup. Cons: they hold a LOT of sweat in a hot/humid setting. On a long run they will get very wet and stay wet and clingy. The compression is OK but since it's separate from the outer layer, it tends to ride up. I prefer styles like Patagonia Endless Run in which the compression liner is stitched into the outer layer. It keeps the compression liner from riding up. Would also love a zip pocket on the left side just like there is on the right side.

I usually fit well in XSmall shorts and singlets. So I bought some and they still look big.

This my second pair but this pair has a different fit than the first. Both were manufactured in Vietnam but the fit it different. The navy pair are less comfortable and have a tighter fit. Very unfortunate. Both are medium. The pair runs smaller than my first pair. Inconsistent sizing is a problem!

Used to be a die-hard Sherpa short fan with the previous version. I am not sure what happened here but this short is really not the same anymore. The liner runs small now, the waistband is weird... bring back the old one!!!

Like the liner and the shorts. Cool and comfortable on long runs. Only problem is the zippered pocket wasn't stitched properly so unless I dig for the pocket on the liner it's a zippered hole.

Not quite what it was two generations ago. Material quality has improved but pocket design is now excessive. The hip pockets have way too much slack where each stride will shake whatever is stowed in there. The zipper pocket is also in an odd location and also too big.

I've had about 10 pairs of these shorts and I absolutely love them BUT the liner ALWAYS tears in a couple of months(30-50 miles a week)even though the rest of the short is in perfect condition. Sadly, I can't justify buying more at that price. I thought it was a fluke but it has happened to every pair I own

Overall the quality is good and love the pockets, drawstring needs to be outside the pants to avoid chaffing/rubbing on anything more than a short run.
