We have had our hydro flask for a while now. The original lid was showing wear. Bought the replacement and it will not screw on enough to seal properly. Leaks when we use it. I'm not sure if there were design changes to the tops of the bottles but it's seems different.

My healthcare role requires a long daily highway commute. Cannot safely use this lid to drink my Chai tea during the trek. There are other flasks that allow me to keep my eyes on the road while drinking through my eco-friendly long straw inserted in a lid that securely fits the mouth of the flask. The issue is that these containers do not keep the tea hot for very long. The HydroFlask wide mouth straw lid does not allow insertion of a long straw. Hoping HydroFlask will engineer a new lid for its products.

For a brand new Hydroflask one would expect it to at least function. Can even use it as purchased. Wide mouth lid doesn't seal. Basicaly sucking through a straw with holes. If this is an indicator of where the quality is at for the price there is better for cheaper.

I recently got two replacements, wide mouth flex clap and the coffee flip lid but because of my clumsiness I decided to buy the flex sip, the straw lid, and a flex boot from REI. Even though the description for the straw lid says it isn't leakproof, the lid leaked A LOT the first day and the rubber stopper is a pain. It's almost impossible to stop it from falling off and if you do lose it, you need to buy a whole new lid.

I love my actual Hydroglask bottles and wanted to try this straw lid to be able to drink water with a mask on more easily. Unfortunately, the quality of the straw lid is not on par with the quality of their bottles. I bought the lid directly from the website and had multiple issues. Mainly, the lid leaks (which I found out from water in my backpack) and the ends of the straw (yes, I had to switch sides) cracked within the first couple times of use. Really wanted to love the lid as much as my actual Hydro Flask bottle... Great idea, but poorly executed. Wish I could get a refund.

I had bought this a couple months ago, but there is a problem. The lid now tastes and smells super bad. I might have to buy a new one just so I can want to drink again without worrying about filling my nostrils and mouth with a horrendus taste and smell. Idk if it's because I stopped cleaning it or what but it is so bad. It also makes a lot of noise when you drink from it, if the company could find a way to make the lid better I would be so happy. :/

I bought 3 of these for my kids and am bummed that their bottles leak with these lids. I thought we ordered wrong, but then my son said the website states they are not "leak proof". I wish I know behind ordering. Pretty sad Hydro Flask can't make them leak proof.

Great lid, doesnt leak or burp... however it has a little teeny tiny piece of silicone right in the center to let steam out. but this little thing comes out so easily, especially when washing, and without it the lid is essentially useless- liquid pours out without it. would not recommend for this problem alone. my piece is gone, and now i have to buy a new lid.

I've had my Hydroflask for a little more than two years. It came with the wide mouth straw lid. It now leaks if my flask get knocked down or is laying down.

Great product but the straw was too large for my bottle. I had to cut it. I have the 32oz.

I hate to give this such a low rating, but innovation people! The straw constantly disconnects from the lid, so I have to take the lid off & put my fingers into my hydro flask to fish for the straw, then put my fingers all over the straw to reconnect it to the lid, then the straw is put back into the drink...not a fun time, nor hygienic. A company that is not allowed to be named here has made a correction to their straw/lid connection apparatus where it is near impossible for the straw to disconnect. If they got into the business of steel drinking ware, I'd head that way for all of my drinking needs. I thought the problem may have been that I had a several year old hydro flask & straw & lid, so I purchased a new set of everything, & here I am, same issue. The reason I didn't give this a 1 star, the lid hasn't leaked on me, which I appreciate.

I recently purchased the wide mouth straw lid, and after I read on the front of the package where it says that you have to cut the straw depending on what size bottle you have, I had trouble finding the measurements on where to make the cut. The front of the package said that the chart was on the back of the package, but my family nor myself could find it. After further investigation, we saw that the measurements were printed in black on a black package, making it really difficult to see. It would be much better if the chart was in the same text color as all the other information on the package.

I prefer to use straws with my bottle so I can easily drink while driving or working and not need two hands to open a bottle. This one has a very old school clunky design. It doesn't open easily and my little kids struggle a bit to pull it up. The square shape of the mouthpieces isn't as nice as other round mouthed designs and I guess I was spoiled by those. The feel of plastic on my teeth and corners is just not something I want to notice when drinking. The flow is also a bit slower than I like to drink.

I've heard such good things about hydroflask from a few people and the actual bottle part is Great .....I do Not like this lid. I don't know if it's just me but after I'm done taking a drink it spits back up at me everytime, so I thought maybe I didnt cut the straw the right length maybe it's right there at the bottom of the bottle, so I cut just a bit more off the bottom of the straw and it still comes up after I drink. I did get rid of 2 other brand of water bottles that did the same thing. I am wait for them to restock a different lid and hopefully that will fix the problem because I really do love this brand!

I bought this lid in blue and it leaks when not upright. My bottle tipped over in the back seat of my car and water leaked on my leather seats. I was so upset.

I bought this months ago and love to drink out of the straw, but after all the stuff going on with COVID 19, I had to put my straw lid away. I did not feel safe having the straw out in the open and getting infected because the only way to drink out of it, is to open the straw with my hands. I also dont want anyone to have access to my straw. I obviously need to wash my hands every time I need to open the straw, but that is not practical...

I will preface this by saying I LOVE Hydroflask bottles and coffee tumblers- they are the best. I ran into a Hydroflask team at an event I attended in Brooklyn and they got me all hyped for the new straw lid - I LOVE my old straw lid. Unfortunately, they removed the soft "grip" to the lid and the plastic is so hard on the "new" lid that I feel like I'm going to chip my front teeth. Dramatic, but disappointing that this is the "new and improved" straw lid the team got me so hyped about. You all already have a great product- please bring back the old straw lid!!

I got the straw lid pack that came with two straws. The first one split by the end of the month. I figured it was just a random problem and put the second straw on. It also cracked! It's so frustrating because the cracks make the straw fall off all the time. I tried to register to send it back under warranty, but the website restarts every time I log in. I'm disappointed and frustrated. I love the straw lid otherwise but it is very inconvenient!

I love these lids... when they work. Two major flaws that have made it so these lids only last a month or two. 1. The air vent stopper falls out and your lid leaks after that. Hydro flask really should sell these as a ten pack for people to replace the stopper after it gets lost. I know I can use my warranty for this, and I have, but to me that's a waste of the company's time and money to send these out every time a stopper gets lost. The lid needs to be redesigned or consumer fixable. 2. The straws are too thin and therefore split after a while. When they split it makes it so the suction does not work, unless you can flip your straw and move the split to the bottom. Once both side split, and it will, the straw is trash.

You have to constantly unscrew the lid to balance the pressure in order to get a decent flow, otherwise you have to suck hard, which defeats the purpose.

I loved this at first but over time the straw stopped sucking up water. Its like air was getting in or something. This is definitely a product I enjoyed while it worked but it just didn't last like I thought it would.

these caps get dirty really fast and they are super hard to clean in between the parts that folds up and down on the lid part. It looks super dirty no matter times i wash it. This will be my third cap im buying in less than a year

I bought my lid and was very happy with it, at first. However, it has a seam in the rubber that has split down the middle.. and the rubber is drying out - kind of like an old pencil eraser. For that price, I am disappointed in the quality.

really loved this straw lid for a while. Is a bit less insulating than the screw top lid but does it's job. Two months in the mouth piece got a smell. I cannot get it clean. I've tried everything. sterilizing tablets, dishwasher, letting it dry for a week.

however, it is not. I have had so many issues trying to use this product and getting water to actually come up the straw and resulted to getting a completely different lid. I even now have two different length straws that both don't work. I've attempted flipping the straw in hopes that would help, but it didn't. It's almost like there is no suction.
