I love the bottles and we have 6 of them at our house. I bought the straw lid and loved it for the first little while, but now the spout is very gross looking. Nothing I do seems to help. I love the idea of having replacements you can purchase so that you don't have to replace the entire lid.

I bought the new version a couple weeks ago I was excited but it leaks from the top where the mouth piece is.

I bought these for my little ones to prevent spillage...works great accept the rubber mouth piece cracks very easily and wears fast... that part should be able to come off and come with replacements.

Works great while it lasts, but it is not very durable. My 5 year old who loves to chew has bit a hole right through the sip spout, now it doesn't work properly. Very frustrating as these lids are hard to find. Had to run all over town looking for one, not available on line anywhere, finally found one, now I have to replace it after only a few short weeks. Please redesign for better durability!

It seems like a great idea but there's a couple major issues I have with the lid. First, it either doesn't let enough air in to take up enough water when you drink. I need to partially unscrew the lid. Or doesn't seal well enough. Without doing this there's a lot of air pockets while drinking. Second, the cap leaks pretty bad if the bottle is left on it's side.

First of all....I'm a Hydro Flask FAN of the first order. Love the darned things and have a half dozen of em. That being said...the straw lid needs some design changes. The mouth piece gets "gummy" pretty fast. And let's face it....that's gross!!! I believe the mouth piece would benefit from being hard plastic as opposed to the soft variety. Easier to clean and would not deteriorate as quickly. If they don't want to make hard plastic, how about offering a replacement mouth piece as opposed to the whole enchilada replacement? Makes better sense environmentally speaking. Are y'all listening to user opinions?

I LOVE Hydro Flask. But I believe this mouthpiece still needs some material improvements. After about 7 months of daily use of 80% cold beverages and 20% hot ones, the rubber part of the mouth piece (the one in contact with the mouth) has deteriorated to a state of guey half/melted pieces. I have to admit the rubber part had been chewed by a 1 year old before it started to seriously fall apart, although it was in an already sorry state, it wasn't melty and sticky yet. Secondly, the straw doesn't always stay attached to the connector, multiple times I had to unscrew the lid and reconnected it pushing it well in. This isn't really a big deal, but for these top notch bottles there is still a bit of road to cover for a top notch straw mouthpiece. :)

I've had mine for about a year now. Still works great but I have a hard time getting the black grime on the mouth piece off. I only use my hydroflask for only water.

PRO's: Convenient drinking, continues to keep drinks cool, easy carry capability. CON's: I've experienced most everything already mentioned. Kids like to bite and leave marks, nasty mold type growth, as well as my lid no longer stays on. Hung my 40 Oz flask by a carabiner from the lid, flask soon after came toppling down crashing onto the steel deck of the ship and cracked the inner liner.

I've purchased 3 of these and so far, 2 of them, because of condensation, have black mold spots on the rubber which cannot be cleaned off.....looks gross. Is anyone else having this condition?

I just got this in , it is okay. I think they should remake a spill proof version of this.

Normally I love hydroflask products, but the mouthpiece was not fully sealed to the top, so every time I drink I can hardly get any water up through the straw since there is an air leak. The only way to get liquid flowing through it is to manually hold the mouthpiece in place while drinking. This defect was in place upon arrival.

Silicone valve fell out during hand washing. Since I'm not sure where it is, the lid is not usable. Trying to buy replacement valve, but unable to locate.

I think it's ridiculous to have to separately but a straw lid, especially one that isn't even leak proof and is hard to get on. To add, there is a weird gap between the bottle and the lid. Also having to go out of my way to cut the straw is just another inconvenience. Not impressed for such an expensive brand.

I am really sad because I bought this a couple weeks ago and have only used it a handful of times and it already leaks and does not work properly. I maybe have been able to use it 5 times and it already is broken :( I would recommend the product because I like the concept however, mine did not last long at all

Had this cap for a couple of months and it leaks from the valve on top ALOT. If I don't leave the straw up there will be a puddle on my desk in minutes.

I've had this lid for a 32oz hydroflask for almost a month. It's wonderful for drinking...but mine does leak, which is pretty disappointing. It doesn't always leak, but I've found there's a high probability of leaking if the bottle is laying on its side or at an angle. Because a 32oz doesn't fit in my car cupholder, this bottle has been relegated to home/office use. Again, works as advertisednot leakproof. Meh.

My son absolutely loves this lid for his hydroflask, but the little gray rubber thing that keeps it from leaking has been lost. This is the second cover we've purchased and this has happened both times! Are there replacement little rubber stoppers available instead of having to buy a whole new cover??

I have owned my 32 oz hydro flask for 4 or 5 years now and I have never had a problem up until this year. In the straw lid, there is a tiny silicone piece that helps keep water from spilling. It fell out of my lid and I googled if I could purchase the piece online, and they told me to file a warranty claim. I filed a warranty claim, received a new straw lid and not even a week later the silicone piece fell out again, making water pour out of my water bottle if it is not sitting up right. The smallest piece in the world makes the biggest difference when it comes to using this product. I would love to use a straw but I guess I will stick with my twist on cap.
