Feels like a new pair of sneakers. New Balance have always been a go to brand because I have wide feet, and usually need a 4E width that other brands just don't have. However, I have been wearing Brooks brand running shoes for the support and widths availability with mixed feelings on cost, style, and even comfort. Decided to come back and try a pair of New Balance and so far these feel great, but I'm still shocked that I'm paying a buck fifty for sneakers these days. They certainly look nicer than the weird styles and horrendous color schemes of some other running shoes. Will they hold up for any length of time? Hoping they do. If so I'll buy another pair, even at $150 or so.

Needs a roll bar in the front outer part of the shoe ...up by the ball of the foot

Zappos was great, no complaints as all. The shoes were fine, I had to return the original pair for the next size up. All is good except either my arch is unusual or the arch support was farther back than other shoes, including my old New Balance. Trial and error with various inserts seems to have resolved the problem, but I was disappointed to have to go through the high-jinx with a $140 pair of shoes. Again, mine was a New Balance issue, not Zappos, they were great!

This is my second pair. Of course, get the grey ones because these look dorky. I walk about 4 miles a day. These lasted about 6 months. They do require a bit of breaking in, and that’s somewhat uncomfortable. Overall excellent, but let’s face it, finding actual walking shoes that don’t look like they belong to your grandfather is tough, and you don’t want go resort to running shoes, so these work well.

I like the fit. It seems more like the toe box of a Keen. Lots of room for the toes. The insole seems a bit flat for me but it has plenty of padding for those who don’t need arch support. As far as room for the arch support, there is plenty. Although I did have to order a size up in my insole due to the extra toe room.

The shoes seem a little stiff and uncomfortable, probably because they are new. I will break them in very carefully.

This is the first pair of shoes that actually had enough room for my toes. Very comfortable.

the look is very boxy

This show looks great. It is not designed for speed walking in that it does not provide adequate cushioning, and it is not designed for a quick step in my stride. Finally, my feet were sliding inside the shoe, but that is easily fixed with a different size. I believe the shoe is better suited to handle leisure walking.

Toe box is very generous, more than most shoes. No support and could not use my orthotics without buying additional footers. Returned for credit.

size was 11B. Toe box felt slightly short. Otherwise, decent walking/active shoe.

Felt much wider than other shoes of the same width.

Truley made for wide feet. These are the first "tennis" shoe that I've bought that really gives your toes the needed room. Even "wide" shoes normally come to that point in the front, so you either buy larger size to back your toes away from the point or you suffer. These are designed with a really nice rounded/wide foot bed with plenty of toe room. I can't wait to wear these more, which will happen in our upcoming vacation.

I wear a narrow usually 9.5. They were too small and the 10 was too large.

I usually wear a 9.5. Those were too small. I ordered the 10. they were too big. Toe box seemed plenty large. i need a narrow shoe and I was hoping these would work. Now I'm back to square 1.

As mentioned in other reviews, the toe box is wider/larger. I pull the laces tighter, but I will probably go 1/2 size down next time. The shoes are comfortable otherwise.

I have a narrow foot and also orthotics. I usually wear a 9.5, tried them, too small. Exchanged for a 10. That was too big. Toe box seems large. I'm back to square 1. As always, great service from Zappos.

I’m glad I searched for New Balance shoes with the SL 2 last and fabric mesh forefoot. Most comfortable shoes I’ve worn in a long time.

Really nice sneakers...lots of positive features. The only issue is that they were too small (short) which is unusual since I have purchased this model in the past.

I thought the padding in the heel area was great, but in the two area a little less so.
