I ordered my normal NB size, and these were v short. My toes were hitting the end of the shoe. I wanted something that was good to walk in and not crazy colors. Unfortunately, I had to return.

Purchased the walking shoes and Thought there would be more cushion for walking. Hurts the ball of my foot. However, the structure is good and the heal is supportive.

I really wanted to like these sneakers, but the blue color is WAY too short. The white with a wide width are the correct length, but they are too wide for me.

New Balance has always been my go-to shoe, but these are not the same. They are smaller than the usual 7.5 I wear. Size up if you want to buy. Also, they looked clunky, again, not the New Balance that I'm used to.

This shoe ran very short. My size is 9 1/2 but with socks I usually order a 10. This felt more like a 9.

I have two other pairs of New Balance 847v4 in other colors and they are perfect in comfort and fit but the third pair I purchased are short and the toe box is tight. I checked the tag and the box for the size and it was correct, however i discovered that this pair was made in Viet Nam, not the U S like the others. So disappointed!!

These 8 narrow sneakers (made in Vietnam) feel shorter lengthwise and wider width-wise. Feet slide forward if they are not tightly laced.. Not comfortable compared to my 1540V sneakers made in USA

They are comfortable but I bought them for walking and they're smaller than expected. They actually make my toes sore.

I have worn New Balance for many years. My last pair was 847.3 and I wore them out doing fitness walking. I thought the 847.4 would be the best option to replace them. I got the same size I always get for sneakers (8.5N) but they were too small (my toe seemed to hit on the right foot). I exchanged them for 9N. The right toe still seemed to hit the shoe edge but when I pressed down with my finger there seemed to be plenty of room. When I tighted the laces more, it seemed to help (but not alleviate) the sensation. I wore the shoes for a couple of weeks, walking about 2.5 miles daily. I have had to stop walking because an ache has developed in my right knee and lower leg. I am going to try another New Balance style and hope for better luck.

The V4 is not as supportive as previous versions. Wore them around the house on carpet for a bit, thought OK. Wearing them out and about I can feel my foot wobble. Definitely not as good as previous models. Only good thing is I can actually get my foot into the shoe. Hard to find 4E womans.

I returned these shoes. I just wasn't happy with them. I realize that this is a none objective statement. The left foot shoe felt that it did not hug my foot the way it should. I know me well enough to know that I would end up not wearing them, so returned. Grateful that Zappo's makes shopping for shoes a great experience.

Very comfortable and supportive shoe. 12 is too short for my toes. 13 is too long Disappointed because it's a really great shoe and it I love the color. I would have given it a 5 if it fit well.

I used to be able to count on New Balance to fit my 4E width, but no more. The shoe was sized a 4E but was at least 1 width more narrow - it was truly a 2E or 3E - returning. Now where do I go? Good question!!!

The sizing on these shoes seems weird to me. I ordered a half size up from my usual, and they were too short -- toes pressing on the end. Sent them back, ordered a full size up from usual, and they are still too short! As other reviewers have said, the width of the toe box is great, and it hugged my narrow heels very well. But there isn't a lot of vertical depth to the toe area, so the top pressed down on my toes. Rather uncomfortable. If you have a short, wide foot with narrow heels and don't mind fabric pushing down on your toes, this shoes should work for you!

My last pair of NB's were a 1123, and I thought I might be able to replace them with the 847. Even though I ordered the same size I'd had previously, the 847s are at last a full size smaller/shorter than the previous style. I don't feel confident about the mesh and I'm hoping it wears well -- as shown by how long I was wearing 1123s, I tend to wear shoes to death.

I had no issues with the 847v2 back in the day, but with these, my heel was continually coming out of the shoe while walking. Will be returning.

These shoes have a nice wide Toebox so I thought I would really like them but for some reason when I walk in them my toes really hurt. Usually I have to protect my bunion but it’s fine in these shoes. For some reason they feel too short. I always wear a 9 1/2 medium so I don’t know what the problem is.TBe specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

I really like the looks of this shoe and actually liked the feel of it on my foot. I ordered this a full size larger and my toes were hitting the front. However, as a 2A width, it was way too wide in the toe area and even with a heavier sock was also slipping on my heel. Also, the front of the shoe was crinkling too much for my taste. I normally love New Balance but will have to return these. It's sad that women with large, narrow feet have such a hard time finding narrow shoes. Just because we wear a larger size doesn't mean we have wide feet. I bought one pair of ASICS but when the new colors arrived, they no longer have narrow shoes. Shoe manufacturers: start reading hundreds of reviews of women looking for 11, 11.5 and 12's in narrow widths that aren't from the ugly shop! Yes, we really do love color! Thank God for Zappos, who do carry the few brands that still make them.

I especially liked the width of these. I take a 7WW and these did not pinch or bunch my toes at all. Unfortunately I returned them because the structure of the sole towards the back part of the sneaker made it feel like something was pressing into my foot. I still felt that pressure after adding my insert.
