Short on the toes. I even ordered a half size longer!

The size 8 feels like a 7.5 or smaller. Noticeably shorter than size 8. Sending back since there is nothing larger available to try. The width js good. A second pair of New Balance ordered in the same size but in a different style fit just fine.

I bought New Balance 847v4 for a recent trip to Europe. I wear custom orthotics which fit perfectly in the shoes and I love the wider toe box. They felt very comfortable right out of the box as my previous New Balance shoes. I was disappointed when 3 days into our trip, my feet started to hurt, mainly on the ball of my feet and I can feel the indentation of my feet on the insoles. We walked about 5-7 miles a day which was not much for a brand new pair of shoes. I miss the older models which seemed much more comfortable and sturdier.

It fit longer than the 840 style that I've worn for years. I'll try a smaller size. The 840 no longer works. They made it for people who pronate.

Loved the look of this shoe and it fit well in terms of length and width (although a half size larger than I normally wear), but there was a stiff vertical support in the outside of the shoe that irritated my foot and rubbed against my foot. I tried several different types of inserts and nothing eliminated that irritation.

Was disappointed. They felt small all over and could not sense any roll bar action at all, especially compared to the Hokas with roll bars.

Wore them for an hour indoors while I was vacuuming. My feet burned and hurt all over.

Fit and size are OK. They are unattractive, very clunky looking but comfortable.

I really wanted to like them as I needed new walking shoes, but every time I wore them my toes hurt, even though they were the size I always wear in New Balance. I suspect it's just the rigid style.

Although these are the 9.5 N that I always wear, they wer short in the toe box and the arch support did not properly align for me.

Shoe was too sturdy for my comfort. I did not want to put in time or effort to break in a shoe in its price range. Returned them.

The sneaker felt a little short for me, and made a funny squeaking noise when walking in it.

Zappos recommended this shoe in 10W although I always wear NB 9.5W. The length was ok but the width /toe box were like a boat! And no style to the shoe, even fully laced the midsection of the shoe didn't snug in, nearly as wide as the widest part of toe box. Returned for another New Balance (1540V3) in my normal 9.5 W.

These were a perfect narrow and felt great from the start, but as soon as I stood up I could tell they were too short. Unfortunately I I have to return them. I will try again with a narrow in this brand by going up a half size.

Unfortunately, I am returning these because they seem not to have much cushion for the bottom of the foot. Also, the toe box is a bit narrow even with ordering the x-wide.

Similar to other reviews, this New Balance shoe was too short by 1/2 size, possibly due to the amount of cushioning in the heel that pushed foot forward in shoe. Width was good. Stiffness of Stability bar concerned me with regards to long longs/hikes

I liked the look of the shoe. It felt smaller than usual. Food went numb. Hated it because si really liked the shoe

The toe box was nice and roomy and the material there felt comfy too, but the shoe narrows down so much in the middle that it rubbed my bunion there, although it was wide enough elsewhere.

Size was perfect, but there was not enough cushioning for my flat feet. Just took a few steps, felt like I was walking on rocks. Ordering New Balance with sturdier cushioning.

I thought it would be the same fit as another New Balance shoe I bought. It wasn't the same. Shorter in toe.

I originally ordered these in a 9N - my usual shoe size. The 9 was too small, reordered in a 9.5 and still too small. No sure I want to get this in a 10. Can't comment on the arch support other than with the exception of the length the shoe felt good.
