I bought this a few weeks ago in preparation for summer hiking. Recently we had several rainy days, so I wore it to test it out. The Medium fit my tall slender frame perfectly, but not too restrictive with a couple of layers under it. I am 6'1" and the sleeve length was perfect also. I usually have trouble with my long arms. It shed heavy rain with no problem and the hood was very protective.

I use this as an emergency shell when out hiking and taking the dog out a walk in rainy Scotland and it never soaks through. Works well over an Atom LT when it starts to get colder. Excellent waterproof jacket!

I am working on completing a complete "SL" layering system and love this shell. I use the Atom SL over a base layer, an synthetic insulation layer, and then the Zeta SL - the combination is perfect. Extremely light and easy to pack everything in my 15L day pack.

It's as close to being the perfect jacket that I was looking for. I have an old Alpha SL from about 15 years ago that is still usable. But has seen better days. Sheds water like a ducks back. The fabric is durable enough for my application without being heavy. I look forward to many years of service with this jacket. The only thing I'd change on the jacket would be to get rid of the hand pockets.

I bought this almost two months ago now and I have used it fairly frequently in the wet and wind in fair weather. Perfect jacket for the job and just what I was looking for. Really pleased with the overall fit and construction too.

I bought it and tested in tropical rainy season in Indonesia, when it was torrential rain. Absolutely waterproof and breathable! I have a plan to hike and climb mountains during rainy season

I bought this shell in October 2020, having never owned any Arc'teryx products previously. I'd seen on here that there were some issues with the length of the sleeves and "noisiness" of the material. In some sense, I understand, while in a more practical sense, the sleeve length has saved my base and mid-layer sleeves from getting soaked (and eventually frozen) in mixed snow/sleet conditions. I realize this is supposed to be more of a packable hiking shell and not really an alpine piece, but I wanted to challenge the material anyway and it came through big during heavy winds and snow at 20F with only an Atom LT and merino 250 fleece baselayer beneath. I stayed warm and dry, and on the uphill, I was even a little too warm. I expect this piece will hold up even better in the more moderate conditions of the Pacific Northwest, where the temps rarely break 30F and it stays raining during winter months. To address the sound of the jacket -- yes it's a bit noisy and not stealth for sure, but that's the Goretex paclite material for you, sacrificing thickness and quietness for lightness and packability. Overall, this is the best rain jacket I've ever used -- 10/10 comfort 10/10 protection

Exactly what I was looking for. Great cut. I'm 5'10" 160 lbs and the medium fits perfect. People complaining about sleeve length probably aren't layering. Great coverage.

I bought this jacket mainly for fall/winter bike-commuting. Super lightweight, great length. Arms are a little long as other review states but the wrist velcros keep the sleeves in place, and I appreciate the length when biking. Perfect lightweight, no-frills waterproof shell.

Bought 3 months ago and have used it several times in Vancouver rain, so far it has kept me dry. Only draw backs are long sleeves and no ventilation. I am 5'9" 185 and Large was the size I bought. Fit was slightly baggy.

Bought this prior to hiking Rockwall this summer and was very impressed! Over the course of 4 days rain, sleet, and wind were no match for this jacket. Stayed warm and dry the entire time but was never too hot as the jacket material is quite breathable. The material is also very durable, there were no issues despite wearing a pack and putting it though some abuse on the trail. Overall extremely happy with this jacket!

Longtime Arc user and have owned a multitude of shells from LEAF and Outdoor over the years, including previous PACLITE (Beta SL). Been using the Zeta SL (jacket and pants) for the last year and it quickly became my go-to shell for year-round use over my Alpha FL and SV shells in the closet for daily wear. The updated PACLITE Plus is outstanding and works flawlessly for a minimalist shell. Great as standalone and layers well over Atom LT. This jacket is a steal for the money.

I bought this as a shell i would throw in my pack, just like it's sold as. I find myself reaching for it daily now because of it's nice trim fit and light material. I think it will be my go to rain jacket and spring coat. It fits trim for sure, but with a long sleeve underneath and this shell you're sure to be good for inclement weather.

A great shell! I use this shell as my every-day shell. I keep it in my work backpack and break it out whenever bad weather hits. I also use it on my trail runs during bad weather. I prefer to keep my Zeta SL as my daily jacket instead of my Alpha SV or AR due to small packability and thinness. The jacket is slim-fitting and mobility is surprisingly good. No pit zips though so beware. Got it in medium and it still fits a Cerium LT underneath pretty well, although usually, I rock a Fortrez or Atom LT underneath instead. Great jacket to get if you can't afford one of the more heavyweight shells Arcteryx makes but still want a good shell to have in emergencies.

I owned a Beta SL (7 yrs) Sent it in for repairs I was expecting to pay for wear and tear. They sent me a brand new Zeta SL, no charge! new Packlight Plus is Big improvement over the old packlight. No longer rubbery and sticky. Sides on over under garments like silk! Due to their excellent products and service, I bought a Beta SV shell and a Atom LT. You may think their stuff is expensive, but at the end of the day it's a bargain. Great products and outstanding service!

I've worn this jacket in the Dark Firoza colorway, size Medium, which is plenty loose to wear an Atom AR underneath and still have room (my guess is that with the size Small the Atom AR should still fit underneath, although a little tighter). I've worn this through humid (~90%) and rainy weather (light rain indefinitely, no problem. I've even worn this for a few minutes in heavy rain and it held up fine but either wetted out or had trouble breathing after that, though I'm fairly sure the former isn't the case). Of course, it's only meant as an emergency shell so I did sweat after about an hour or two of hiking through light rain (surprisingly little though, considering I was wearing a sub-par "wicking" tee under it). Although I would've appreciated pit zips or at least a mesh vent pocket, I do understand that this jacket is meant to be as light as possible (which it is). The laminated visor is a lifesaver though. I would post a picture of me wearing it on a hike in the Grand Tetons, but sadly that trip was cancelled :( I shall go next year and perhaps update this review.
