Compared to previous years the newer gray pair is really so different and uncomfortable. Larger, less shearling, heel height different, and not wearable for someone with my back issues. What has happened! Wanted to buy 2 pair of Breeze but see reviews of the changes made to them. Please go back to previous manufacturer.

I bought these from.a different store and its not the price, its tge quality. My last year model feels secure on my feet, this one here, I twisted my ankle and resulted in a fracture. Disgusting upgrade in my opinion. Bring back last years model.. your upgrade style really stinks.

These are horrible. I have been the Encore Q2 Ice for years and was stuck having to buy these now. What a difference. The fit is loose and slog like. The footbed now hurts my heels which was never the case before. They will be going back and the search for my new indoor shoe will commence. Come on Merrill read the reviews!! The quality is disintegrating.

I love my new merrels . they fit they're beautiful and comfortable. havent had any merrels in recent years but glad to have them again!

These hurt my feet terribly. I expected so much more. Thin liner with no cushion. Misplaced tag gave me blisters first day. Heels ached more than any other shoe I've worn.

I have worn Merrell - Encore Ice Shoes for more years than I care to share. I buy a new pair every year and keep my older pair outdoor spring and fall chores. I have always order the same size. I just returned my Encore Ice 4 shoes, because the fit was so big in this version (extremely wide and longer when I compared it to my old shoes). It was flopping on my feet. What happened?? I am so disappointed in the Encore Ice 4. I am going to wait until next year to purchase and hope you correct whatever you did to this shoe this year!

As others mentioned, the quality has dropped. I love my previous pair so I ordered two more this year. They are a totally different shoe; strangely wide, no support, slips in the heal, etc. They even removed the "M" logo on the top of the shoe...not that important, but another marker of cost cutting and drop in quality. I'm curious as to why Merrell changed these. They MUST know the quality has significantly decreased. I returned the two pair I purchased. Won't buy again unless they revert to the previous better quality shoe. (And they even seem to "bury" newer negative reviews lower down...and replace them with older positive reviews at the top of the list. Buyer beware! )

I have worn this shoe for years. Always very comfortable when designed with a round toe. However, this year the shoe was redesigned and the toe is no longer round but slanted, making it very uncomfortable in the toe area. Not sure why they had to ruin a winning design. I returned my latest pair and now looking for a new Brand

Not the same as the previous Encore Ice. Sizing is different, lining is not the same quality and the weight is not the same. I have 5 pairs in different colors of the Encore Ice Q and love them. I needed them in black and was so disappointed with the Encore Ice 4.

Very wide and sloppy- I usually buy Merrill's because they run narrow not these! Even with a heavy sock.

So disappointing. I had a wonderful pair of Merrell's for years and could not have been happier. Replaced them with Encore Ice 4 and not good! I replaced the thin, wrinkly insoles after one week by purchasing shearling insoles. Entire shoe is flimsier and not as sturdy as its' predecessors.

Very disappointed, not what I would expect from Merrell shoe. I would not recommend!

I have been wear these shoe for at least 10 years and are so Disappointed in my new pair. They are not sized correctly, one shoe is larger than the other. I sent them back and got the same thing again just in reverse. The first time the right was to big the second time the left was too big. The fleece inside is minimal compared to how they used to be. Please remake these shoes like the old ones. They used to be the best shoes on the market. So sad.

I bought these excited to have a new pair of my beloved old Merrells with the fuzzy inside and the very comfortable heel cup and support. These simply do not measure up to what I have experienced from Merrell in the past. The first pair was way to big, so I returned them and ordered a size smaller. They are still too wide, there is no support, the heel cup is non- existent and the fuzzy inside is thin and hard. I am very sorry, as I was looking forward to wearing these all winter. I will return this pair, second try, still does not fit, PLEASE return to the form, shape, and makers who used to build these shoes.

So disappointed ): within two weeks of normal wear around the house, the inside liner came TOTALLY out when taking my shoes off. These are two week old shoes! Always have Merrill's on hand. Not again. Cheaply made, poor quality which does not mesh with previous shoes from Merrill and esp for the price!!!!

I was really looking forward to wearing this as a house shoe I could go outside to get mail in for the winter, but was very disappointed and returned it. Absolutely no arch support, and a slightly elevated heel, so my foot would slide all the way down towards the toe, and with all my weight pressing on my toes, it was painful to wear, just around the house. Also would have been nice if the sherpa lining was a removable sock liner type so it could be laundered.

Got a size 6.5 for Christmas. This model seems much tighter than other 6.5 in Merrill and I need a W. Received the blue denim color - love it! - but when I went to exchange I find only black or browns. So returning.

This is my third pair of the formerly great shoes. Merrell has joined the legions of companies that ruin great products by changing everything but the name. These new ones are much longer and very wide so they feel like they'll fall off. The lining material is cheaper, and there's less support. Why the heck do these companies do this?

Quality non existent. Changes design and now made with cheap faux leather, lightweight soles, arch hits behind arch no matter what size. Corporate bean counters and greed win yet again. Should have left the original from 5 to 7 years ago alone

I take size 8, they were too big size smaller didn't work. Not like my old ones.

Bought These last year in 10 med, love love love them. This month bought the Ice 4 in same size, different color, and I am swimming in them. Ordered 9.5 and now have two pairs that I am swimming in! both are going back. and the quality of the fur and insoles not like last years model.

Very stiff and not much cushion new style they are never better when you buy them after like 4 years was hoping they were better

These are just attractive looking shoes with no quality comfort. I would not recommend them. Merrell just keeps slipping on quality. I would gladly pay more for a comfortable quality shoe.

They are uncomfortable, boxy, no cushion. Sent them back. Waiting on my refund.
