The soles are as hard as boards. They clomp, noisily on wood floors. I purchased sheepskin foot beds, separately, to make them more comfortable on the inside. Very overpriced for what you get.

Runs too large for size. Lining comes out every time you remove shoe. Very frustrating to have to reposition lining every time.

I've been wearing these for years!! Like most have commented, the sizing is completely off now. Last pair I bought in store they only had a size 11, but I got them anyway and they were fine, I wear a size 10 shoe, so I ordered the 10 and a half and yes they do run big but still fit good. My real complaint is what did you guys do to the inside of the shoe. They used to be the most comfortable and when I would put my foot in them they was very comfortable insoles, like memory foam in there. These ones are like concrete no cushion in them whatsoever. Very disappointed in that. They are definitely not as comfortable as they used to be. Not happy that I bought 2 pairs hoping for a warm comfortable slipper/shoe for the winter.

I loved the Encore Ice 2, but couldn't find them in black so ordered the Encore Ice 4, and they didn't fit at all. They were too wide, too long and the footbed did not fit the same. I returned them.

I bought these for my wife, and she wore the prior pair so many times they wore out.

I wore them for years and then the sole changed and became very slippery. Wish they would fix this so I could buy them again

Purchased a pair of smooth leather and a pair of suede of this new Encore Ice shoe. Both were too wide in the heel and mid foot. Also gapped at arch area when I steeped down. Overall too wide and not cut as high at instep. Much lower instep shoe edge. Sent both pair back. The former style was great .You shouldn't have changed a thing. I'm so disappointed. I hope you restyle the shoe again and fix the problem soon.

Every year I buy a new pair of the Encore Ice that I bring out when last year's are starting to look worn. I ordered them this year and my regular size 9 was way too wide. The length was ok, so I couldn't exchange them for a smaller size. I am so disappointed.

Loved these shoes previously, and had high hopes for continued quality from Merrell. However, the chemical smell that billowed from the box and the shoes themselves, is so strong they are currently out on the porch. Every time i pass within 2 feet of the box I can smell chemicals. I am hoping that exposure to outside air will ultimately dissipate the smell. It is too strong for me to wear the shoes. or indeed have them in the house. I have medium-level chemical sensitivity so... Be ye aware!

I have a couple pair of Encore Ice from before Merrill's shoes became narrower. I was excited that Merrill was finally getting it & offering them in Wide. HOWEVER, Seriously? The shoes are listed as a " New Arrival" and only come in ONE color? Not even black?

I bought it about three weeks ago. I just got them in the mail today I bought the color lunar, by picture There are clear white, almost like a milk white. When I got them, they are a murky white. I sent them back and I thought of exchanging them for the same color. Maybe I'll get that white show on the picture but then I said better not.

Right shoe started squeaking after 10 minutes and never stopped. Appears that the heel area "broke" upon the first wear. Merrill is just not the same quality as they used to be - my previous pair has lasted 2 years with no squeaks.

I am returning. Not comfortable at all. The soles are hard, no cushion at all.

I bought these on clearance for a super cheap price and they still aren't worth it. This is my third pair of this type of shoe. My other two are super warm, fluffy. These are cheap. The insole is flimsy and falls out every single time I remove my foot- with socks or not. The fluff around the foot isn't anything like past versions. My feet are cold outside whereas other pairs kept them so surprisingly warm. I wore past versions for hours in weather that was in the teens annd had toasty toes. Anyway, I will be looking for something new as my go-to winter shoe.

I bought 2 pairs of these shoes within 6 months of each other. Pair # 1 was good. Pair # 2 is horrible. Wafer thin insoles and has created a sore below my right foot. Bought insoles for them in the hopes it would be better? Nope! There is something definitely wrong with the shoe. Seriously rethinking future shoe purchases!

These shoes were poor quality compared to all the other similar merrell shoes I have bought in the past in recently. They almost seemed defective.

This is a beautiful and seeming well made shoe with the exception of partially glued in insoles. Insoles that move about with wear. What a mess!

I had the same issue as a previous reviewer. I got your email for 60% off and tried to use it within 15 mins of receiving it, says it's expired. Not invalid but expired. I'm disappointed with the promotion.

Fit well, I liked them, but tore the first time I wore them. Disappointed they were not more sturdy.

The insoles are not attached and they are making it very difficult to have my issue resolved!

After reading reviews and hoping the true to fit would be wrong, I went ahead and ordered a smaller size since my actual size was out. When I received my order I immediately fell in love with the style of the shoe, however, it did run small and had to return. PLEASE MAKE/OFFER MORE of this style in all sizes again!!!! I would love to be able to get my actual size in this style and color.
