The description says this is smooth leather. The leather seems more like suede. I want a smooth leather you can polish. I would like to exchange but cannot find a way to do this. The size run big.

I really wanted to love these. They are soft and warm and have a decent amount of arch support. Unfortunately, they run small. I am usually a consistent 8.5 in Merrell shoes. These felt pinchy all around.
Unless the lining compresses significantly (and that would defeat the purpose of the lining), I would need to size up half a size to wear comfortably without socks, and a full size to wear with winter socks.
My daughter recently bought a pair of Sorel Tofino II mid-calf boots in size 8, and they fit comparable to these.

Just received my shoes today 6 1/2 W. They are long with a big heel area so your foot sloshes around and the wife is not wide enough for my wide feet. Usually when people have wife feet it isn't the heel part that is wide so that is kinda annoying. The arch feels off like it is in the wrong spot. So hard to find shoes for wide feet. I was hoping these would be it but now on to another one if I could just find one!

I loved these shoes when I first put them on. They felt like heaven. Though I noticed the annoying stiff tag, jabbing right into my instep, and cut it out with scissors (trying so very carefully not to cut the surrounding fur). Unfortunately, there's still a bump there which I really start to hate especially after about 2 hours of wearing these. Why, oh, why, would you put the tag there in these very expensive clogs? Just asinine.

I have purchased these four or five times in the past and they were always a perfect fit and super comfortable. But my newest purchase was too large and not as comfortable. I have returned them for a smaller size. Hopefully the new pair will fit and be more comfortable.

This is my second pair of these clogs. Good arch support without being too aggressive. Nice high toe box. Soft, warm lining which is great for Colorado winters. These are a little bit wide but perfect with socks. Wish they came in some fun colors. I got the espresso which is a rich chocolate brown.

These were somewhat nice but I felt they weren't great. I love my merrells usually. The lining seemed kind of cheap and I didn't like the way it looked. They were really lightweight so that was good. After reading the reviews I did go down a half size so they did fit well. I got the gray with the light lining. Unfortunately these weren't for me, so I returned.

I ordered an 8 and it fit like a glove, so pleased. It is very comfortable.
The fuzzy insole is loose in one shoe. I dont feel like this is merrell quality and doubt it will last several years.

I have owned 7 pairs of these slippers over the years and always found them to be reliably true to size (8). Just received this new version and they fit like a size 9. They are getting sent back. I'm very disappointed.

I returned these shoes. I have arthritis in the top of my feet and these shoes came up too high on the top of my foot and also were heavy. I had bought them because of the sole, which was good for slippery surfaces, but made the shoe heavy.

The Encoure Ice 4 shoes are very comfortable and fit about a half size too big. The shoes sent to me had a very strong order. I aired them out for 3 days; however, had to return because the order did not go away.

Look nice, I like the blue color, but don't fit like the older more comfortable model. I wear 8 but my foot was swimming in the 8, returned for 7.5, still an inch too big. I'm going to look for last years model online instead.

I have 3 pair of Merrill's and love them ! But these had a tag on inside that waS uncomfortable. I ordered my regular size, but these were to short& hurt my big toe. Disappointed & had to return . They were beautiful shoes , sad to return them .

I purchased this exact pair of Merrill’s about 6 years ago and Loved them - they were extremely sturdy and comfortable. Decided to buy them again in black...and they are fine. BUT no where near as sturdy and well made as my first pair. I have a few pairs of Merrells, I think it’s a reliable brand but it saddens me to see how their quality has been compromised in this particular shoe.

If you have worn the Encore Ice version before, the new Encore Ice 4 is larger than the previous versions. I may have to put an additional insole in mine to help keep them on, no such problem with the older models.
