Runs larger than prior versions of the same shoe/mule though it looks the same on the outside. I am a true 9M and this was both a bit too wide and a bit too long so I'd need to wear socks with it. I've worn the Encore Ice for years, and this is the third one I've ordered from Zappos (love Zappos!) but they have made this one bigger than the earlier versions which I wore without socks. Also, while the shoe is lined in genuine thick shearling and therefore warm on the top and sides of the foot, the removable footbed is not made of the same shearling material as advertised.

If you love the Q2 version, you won’t like these. I returned these because they feel too big, even with heavy socks. I hope Merrell brings back the Q2.

They must have changed the style, they fit so big. Not liking them anymore.

Not comfortable enough to keep given that they aren’t super cute!

The quality of this shoe is not the same as the first pair I purchased a few years ago. The shoe is less substantial, the sole less solid and the lining is not shearling but fake fuzz. Still a reasonably comfortable shoe but a bit disappointing.

I’m keeping them but am a little disappointed in the new design and fit I have a narrow foot and always have worn an orthotic and a heavy sock with these and they fit perfectly. It seems Merrell has redesigned them. While they fit well enough in the toe box, they’re not as snug on my heel, which I don’t like. They’ve removed the decorative stitching from the side and the trademark M from the top. They’ve never been particularly stylish, but removing those two small things make them look clunkier than they used to. I wear a 7 1/2 and the 38 fits as usual, except for the heel. Why do so many manufacturers diddle with a good thing?

I have been wearing Merrells for 20 years and loving them. I needed some new black ones and ordered them. They arrived quickly as always. But, Somehow the fit is different, same style, size everything, but not that cozy fit. I've tried a half size smaller, but still not quite right. Maybe a different manufacturer, I'm not sure, but theses are going back.

I've just returned the Merrell's, sadly. When compared to the same Merrell's from 3 years ago, these are much less...less. They are considerably larger, at least half a size to possibly a full size too large. I am 8.5, never an 8, and these in 8.5 were very much too long. I decided not to exchange for a size down because the quality has really gone down, and what I like so much ALL my previous Merrell clog-slipper Encores throughout the years is the way they cradle my foot in the shearling and give my foot support, no play within the shoe but not tight either. I have my old worn-out pair to compare, and this pair's inner "shearling" lining is wimpy, thin, and barely takes up room in the inside. And just in trying the shoes on, it kind of sheds already. I see a black piece of fuzz on the floor next to the box. LIsten to the other reviews that say something has changed. These shoes are cheaper and fit differently, for sure larger, and my foot is super loose in the shoe, not just because of the length, but because it's either more space inside and/or because there's so little inner shearling lining. I buy these with the shearling lining because I want my feet warm in winter in the house. Even with the lining, because it's so thin, wimpy, and the space loose within the shoe, my feet are cold. I'm really disappointed. I've long known Merrell's shoes don't last, making boots and shoes that have to be replaced much, much too soon, but I give Merrell this. They make some seriously comfortable shoes, so I pay the price for the clogs no matter what, sometimes even for summer boots, but now, there's no reason for me to return to Merrell after these shoes. It's just like other reviewers are saying - something has changed with these Merrell's and NOT for the better. Too bad!

I have bought and worn several pairs of Merrell's Encore shoes. My regular size in the Ice 4 was way too long. I couldn't believe how much longer they were than my current older pair. I would try a smaller size, but they are sold out. Used to know my Merrell sizing but now am not so sure. Sadly, had to send back to Zappos.

Too tight!!

Insole, though fluffy and comfy, felt like it was not the right size for the shoe. These were just plain biring overall. Returned them. Thanks, Zappos, for making it easy!
