This is my third pair of the Encore Ice clogs and they are slightly bigger than my two older pairs. It just means I need to wear thicker socks.

Fit was less perfect than previous purchased shoe of same company and style

This has got to be one of the comfiest styles around. The problem with this particular pair of shoes is that the part of the shoe that surrounds the foot (closest to the ankle) is looser than the other pairs of Merrell Encore Ice that I have-- It is rather like walking in slippers that have stretched out.

Usually my size is 9.5. Needed a 9 in this shoe. So I reordered. The larger size had more consistent, higher quality suede. I purchased two size 9's because the first had inferior suede. The suede on the second size 9 was not equivalent to the 9.5 shoe. Regardless, I like this shoe. It's comfortable, easy to slip on and the inside is warm and soft. I purchased this same shoe about 8 years ago. So despite the quality of the suede it was worthwhile purchasing a new pair.

These are cozy and comfortable. I love the wide toe box & the higher heel that keeps these securely on your feet (unlike a normal mule or clog. The fake fleece inserts are crap & became bumpy and uncomfortable after about 2 weeks. The solution was to yank those out and replace them with an innersole. Overall very happy with these Merrells.

My normal size is 9 or 40. Sizing depends on socks. My first pair bought in 2008 was size 8.5. I didn't wear socks with them. They were great shoes.These red clogs which I got recently are size 9. They do seem a little long in the toe area, almost like a 9.5 but not so much that they are too loose. the arch fits my foot well. I can wear them with or without socks. The fleece is not quite as thick as the older version. I will say that $120 is cheaper than what they cost in 2008 given inflation. If I were to pay what I paid back then, they would cost $142 today. These I got on sale and am very satisfied with the cost of the shoe. Even $120 would be worth it because I don't know if any company produces a shoe like Merrill. These are great for going out for the mail, taking the dog for a short walk or anytime you want to go out but don't want to be bothered putting on socks and boots. I have even walked on icy sidewalks and appreciate the grippy, and stable sole. That's one thing that hasn't changed. They are also very warm with or without socks (except for the exposed heel). If the fur gets matted down with time and the fit changes, then I will consider getting an 8.5 next time.

I have bought Merrell shoes for years, usually encore breeze or the encore leather ones. This is my first encore ice. They have very good arch support, but the padding on the insoles are pretty thin. I added a thin insole under their insole, and it makes them more comfortable. I bought these for house shoes. Very expensive house shoes, but I need arch support. I've tried so many other brands for house shoes, but the arch support is lacking. These are comfortable with or without socks.

I tried a few slippers. I wear 10.5 if I can find a shoe with that size. Despite the reviews, I ordered 10.5, and the reviewers were right, they were too big. Back they went for the 10. Perfect. I have a AA/Narrow foot, the width was as close to a Narrow as you can get in a Medium shoe. I wear with a lite sock. They are warm in my WY winters. Thank you to Zappos for all the back and forth.

This is an awesome mule!

I have a pair of Encore Ice, which I have had forever. I love them but they are pretty beat up looking but fit great and ar comfortable. So I ordered the 4’s and they do fit loose but I can wear thicker socks and they’ll be ok. I can’t order a smaller size since I wear a 5. Just love them for around the house and taking the dog out.
