Compared to my current Merrells which are medium width these 'wide' are NARROWER!

These are nice shoes and very stable. For my high arches there was not enough arch support. They are slightly too wide for me though my feet are on the wide side of normal width. They are also stiffer than what I am looking for. The material is breathable. The decoration is leather but it looks more fake than the fake leather shoes that I have. I would rather have non-leather accents on the hiking shoes. So for me this was an additional downside about these shoes and I returned them. Otherwise, they are well made and would be good for wider and flatter feet than I have.

For my feet there is not enough arch support. They also seem to be wider than I need even though my feet are on the wide side (but within normal width). Otherwise, the shoes are well made and feel pretty good and very stable. I am also upset that they use real leather for accents which is not necessary. Moreover, it is so polished that it actually looks less natural than fake leather that I have on other non-leather shoes. IMO, it's time to stop skinning animals for such things. I will try to find comfortable shoes among Merrell's vegan options.

Stiff shoe, bothered bunions.

Disappointed. I'm a "true 11" but these shoes aren't. 11.5 would be nice, but not available.

For some reason they feel better when Im wearing thick socks! but an awesome shoe. I use them as work shoes, cause they have super grip!!

I always wear a 7.5 M but this shoe was a bit short and narrow for my foot. The shoe is very lightweight and might be comfortable for someone who was on their feet a lot but they didn't quite work for me.

Loved the look of this hiker, but it just didn't feel right on my foot.

I agree with many other reviewers that there is absolutely no arch support. Very surprising for Merrills. Sizing is accurate and I like the slightly wider toe box so will be good for hiking. Kept them despite no arch support because I like the color and overall appearance of the shoe. Some hiking shoes are very bulky and this shoe is more compact and looks flattering with a pair of jeans. Bought a pair of supportive insoles to swap out the ones that are inside and of course this is an added expense others might not like.

Compared to my ten year old Sirens that finally wore out, I had to go up two sizes, and the new ones are still merely OK, with a toe box that is narrower and overall just not as comfortable as the old ones. The footbed is still nice and stable, but why in the world did they change the original?

I love the shoe but it runs short.

Way too heavy and stiff for daily walking. More of a walker

These shoes are a very snug fit. They feel more like hiking shoes versus athletic shoes. There is good arch support but it is a very firm support without a lot of cushion. It will take some time to get used to the fit.
