Avid and forever Bondi wearer. Got these to try them out. Extremely light which makes me leery of the quality and how many miles I'll get out of them. They are wide through the toe. Don't know I'd get another pair.

Honestly, I the fit is pretty good. Rides well, looks bulky (who cares its a running shoe), but the worst thing keeping this from being a 5 star honestly is the sole durability. After the first 10 miles on a treadmill it is showing significant sole wear.

They fit great. Feel great to run in. After 25 miles in them the tread is almost shot in my pressure areas.
I get nervous that I'll need a new pair in 100 miles.

I like the look and the colors of it. This is the most recent version of the Clifton but I must say that to me is not as comfortable as the Clifton 7.

I have run in several Hoka One One shoes (Rincon, Clifton). I return to Hoka because thee shoes are extremely comfortable--amply cushioned yet still very light. I do have a major reservation: the outer soles wear down extremely quickly. My new Clifton Edge shoes showed signs of wear after only two five-mile runs. (This has not been a problem for me with other brands.) While the shoes still provide adequate cushioning, I am disappointed that the additional cost has not translated into additional miles.

First run in these shoes - I breezed in them, felt great running. Did notice a little wear on my ankle about Mile 2... Got back and had a cut on my ankle, with blood on the shoe. Anyone else have this problem strait out of the box? Wish that hadn't happened, because i enjoyed the performance of the shoe. Might have to look into a new model.

Love my hoka boots. Love my Clifton 6. Wasn't excited about my rincons. So I had high hopes for the Clifton edge. But no it was all just good enough excluding the thin tongue that thankfully stayed in place and the laces that keep coming untied while I'm in motion. Sorry need to do better at this price point.

I like the feel of the Clifton Edge (although the tongue slides down into the shoe when you are putting it on, making this operation more difficult than for most running shoes). However the shoes do very poorly in terms of wear. After only 50 miles or so, on a mixture of trail and road, the heel had worn down through the entire bottom layer. After some more miles the inside of both heel cups has completely worn through. Yesterday was the first time I used them during light rain, and I also learned that they have poor grip on wet surfaces.

I love these shoes... but started to wear on the tread after 3 runs on the treadmill... couldn't image how fast it would wear on the road...

Great and comfortable shoe but as I'm wearing it the colors are so tacky and I feel like I should have gotten a different color way. Colors look good in the pictures just not great after a couple wears

The sole of the shoe extends backward from the heel by about 2" which aside from making the shoe look freakishly large, tends to catch on chairs, sofas etc. and makes going down stairs particularly hazardous. Also, I found the toe box to be too narrow.

The color of the mesh fabric was a muddled non-descipt shade. The pink/orange on the sole are fantastic, but the grey sole bit and mesh are awful. : (

Bought a pair fo Clifton Edge's as the write up sounded like they were a better version of the regular Clifton. They are NOT. They have less cushion and are less comfortable than a regular Clifton. Would say they are more like a Mach with a little more cushion. Stopped wearing them and got a new pair fo regular Cliftons.

The Only hoka shoe I had a problem with. Tendon pain while I walk is just not fun. The hard upper part of the shoe just digs into my ankle tendons as I walk, it hurt so much that I had to switch the way I walk to give my dominant foot a break.

When my shoes arrived, I realized that the sole is extremely large - friends say that I look like a clown when I wear them. I have been reluctant to wear them because of this.

This is one of the most comfortable running shoes I have ever used but they lasted less than 150 miles. This is the second time that happened. I initially bought them around November but after 120 - 150 miles the bottom sole was significantly worn out. I called Hoka and got a replacement. The results weren't too different, the second pair lasted maybe little bit more lile 150 - 180 miles. I will try Mach 4 this time and see if the results are any different. If not I will try Clifton 8.

After ~150 miles the soles are worn significantly and the upper ripped from the sole at the base of big toe down through the arch. The shoes performed and felt fine, but for a training shoe they do not hold up. I bought these to replace a pair of Brooks Ghost 11s that had ~200 miles on them at the time of purchasing the Clifton Edge pair. The Brooks are still in my rotation with many more miles and the Clifton Edge can't even be worn around the house because they have a giant hole in the side.

Bought these odd great recommendations from multiple sources, and used Hoka's questioning to discover what shoe was best for me based on road running and 1/2 marathon. I'm 30 days in, and the bottom of the shoe is already wearing out and becoming smooth. While the shoes feel great, I'm worried about their longetivy as I've only put about 70 miles on them.

Coming from a pair of Clifton 5's, I was hoping these would be just as cushioned as those, if not a little more responsive as my daily workhouse. Unfortunately, these felt really awkward to run in as a forefoot/mid-foot striker and I exchanged them for a pair of Clifton 8's. The midsole material is much firmer than a standard Clifton so don't expect a well cushioned ride with these. Probably great for heel strikers, but not for me.

I bought the Clifton Edge thinking I would get a little more support in my 20 mile training runs than I was getting in my Clifton 8's --however, these shoes felt way too firm with no response and felt like each step was getting deadened. I really wanted to like them but had to return.
