The shoes fit fine once I got them on my feet. New Balance’s design to eliminate the tongue made it very difficult to get on—almost a struggle. Not for me. Returned.

The 6 W fits exactly right, the shoes slip on nicely and weigh very little - I'm very happy with them. I deducted a star because the shoe is cut too high for my foot so my ankle gets rubbed more than I like and I may not be able to wear them no socks which I like in the warm weather. We'll see. But overall I'm happy with how close they feel to the Coasts that are no longer available and which I loved.

I have been looking for shoes to replace my walking shoes. I have a wide foot and a bunion so I was reluctant to order online without trying them on, but the return process looked easy. These shoes were very comfortable right out of the box. They are very lightweight and the sole is well cushioned. They are hard to get on because the tongue is a part of the shoe and will not pull up. There is a small tag in the back that you can use to pull them on but not easily.

These are very lightweight and comfortable for walking. My only complaint is how easily they get dirty on the mesh uppers.

The fit was perfect. I usually wear a size 6 in a sandal, but with these shoes I wear socks. They are cute, comfortable, and very light. The odd thing about them is that they don't have a tongue, making them hard to put on.

I bought the all light aluminum/steel in 7 wide. I loved the style and look of the shoe and it was for the most part a good wide shoe, the only issue was with the material they used to create sort of a strap with the "N" logo on it, it was not smooth inside and made the shoe a little too tight and rubbed painfully on the top and side of my foot. I had no issue with the tongue being one piece with the top of the shoe.

The verdict is still out. They are very comfortable once I get them on. They are very difficult to get on because the tongue is totally attached like a burrito tongue so there’s no way to loosen it up to give more room, plus the opening is not too big and fits high up near the ankle. It’s not just a matter of slipping your foot in. They have a tab on the back to help pull your foot in, but it’s very short and seems to be very light weight - we’ll see how long it lasts. I love the fresh foam and have purchased several pairs because they are so comfy and good for my feet. These are as well, but getting them on is a real struggle. Next time I will be investigating the design of the tongue and will not buy the burrito style.

I don’t love the lack of tongue. It makes it challenging to get the shoes off and on and to adjust the laces. They also seem a little wide for mediums. Over all shoes are…okay.

Cute but too wide. New balance is my go to but these are extremely wide in toe area. I wore 2 days inside. After half the second day I had blisters on both feet just above second toe.

I love the material and color but due to the style it did not fit my high instep. Therefore I am returning them.

Go up a 1/2 size to a full size if you have orthotics. Like others said, I’m not sure how they’ll hold up, I walk my dog anywhere from 2-5 miles a day and these reminded me of Sketchers soles which wear out fast. I returned them so I can’t speak to long-term comfort or durability, only tried them on so they’d be unworn but I did want to post about the sizing if, like me, you have custom orthotics.

These looked great but I didn't even try them on because they have an attached tongue and I can't wear shoes that have bunched up material or seams.

Overall I rate these shoes decent but not good enough to purchase again. Pros- they are stylish and go great with all of my athlesiure apparel. They are lightweight and put a spring in my step. Cons-They are maybe too lightweight, in that with that thinness, there is also little support. I have found them to be good for a day of shopping and running errands but definitely not appropriate for a 3 mile exercise focused walk. I found that my heels were sore the day after exercising in them. But the biggest Con for this shoe is that the areas where they are sewn on the inside are very obvious and uncomfortable to my foot. I have tried different brands and styles of socks, but no matter what, I am very aware of the exposed seams and they rub on both sides of my feet. This is a defect that should have been caught during the design phase.

The shoe lip is attached so I couldn’t get my foot inside once I placed my orthotics inside :(

It is more of a slip on sneaker. There is no tongue. Unsure how I like it yet. Otherwise it's what I expected.

I didn't realize that these sneakers do not have the standard tongue. The tongue and the sides are all one so it's more like a bootie. When I walked with them, they give a rolling feeling. I did not like how they felt on my feet. Very different than the traditional style sneaker so they have been returned.

I was very disappointed to see the tongue is sewn to the shoe. It makes it hard to get on when you can’t open the shoe enough. Once they are on, they feel good.

This is an amended review after giving these NB shoes high marks for comfort and support. One feature I was dubious about turned out to be really bad--for me. Due to the integral tongue (attached) the shoe is painfully tight on top of my foot at the front of the ankle. There is no way to adjust with laces and the tongue is NOT soft/padded. On a 4-mile walk it rubbed my ankles raw. Note that I have high instep but I also have slim ankles. This is a bad design if you're sensitive to that. I learned my lesson about integral tongue construction. Never again.

Fit alright. A little wide on the heel for me.

I loved the light weight and the wide fit (6.5D) was great, but the attached tongue came up too high and was not comfortable.

Just an okay shoe all around. It's okay looking and okay feeling. Nothing bad and nothing spectacular here in terms of looks or comfort. Literally just okay. Personally, I am not keeping these as I need more comfort than just okay. The attached tonged is weird as others have mentioned but that would not have been a deal breaker for me if the comfort had been there.

did not care rot "no tongue" style, have high arch and wide ankle too tight. Sorry nice color style otherwise

LIke the looks but not enough support for me

These shoes run small — smaller than other new balance. I had numbness on the top of my feet after only a few minutes wearing these shoes. The elastic band inside these shoes squeeze the top of my feet and it does not get better even if I loosen the laces.
