This jacket is great for extremely cold and windy weather.

This coat is so warm for cold Vermont winters. The extra length is great when sitting as it has enough length to sit on (great for this hockey mom). I love the big hood for snowy wet days and the coat dries so fast. My favorite coat ever. As a lifelong Vermonter I know a lot about cold winters and winter coats and this is by far the warmest and my most favorite coat I've ever owned.

I try not to let any weather (even a zero degree Michigan winter day) get in the way of my daily 3-5 mile walks and this coat helps me do that! It provides a lot of warmth yet is still breathable and doesn't slow me down. Potential downside would be its bulkiness when going in and out of stores/restaurants. But if you are looking for a great outdoor winter coat, this is a great one!

Bought for my wife. For those cold days standing outside watching the girls ski. The fur is a nice touch and look just as good without the fur. My wife states she can just have one layer under this coat. When she's outside and be comfortable.

This jacket is fantastic. I am 5'8 and it goes to mid-thigh. It is warm in the -10 weather, waterproof, and comfortable. Highly recommend for frigid cold.

Best 2020 purchase-to-date. This was my first north face coat purchase, and I definitely don't regret it. This coat makes the highly variable NYC winter weather bearable on my cold (and sometimes wet) commutes to work. The long sleeves also provided adequate coverage of your hands, if you want to keep warm. Not true to size...it's bigger, but I read the copious reviews, so I ended up choosing the perfect size (for me). I typically wear a size 16/18, 2X, and I usually don't layer (at least I didn't expect to, since this coat seemed to be one of NF's warmest products), so I purchased an XL (and I was so nervous it wasn't going to fit). It was perfect!

I live in Northern Michigan and near the big lake. It is always cold and windy here. I needed a warmer coat for walking my dog. Before I had this coat, I always had to layer up when taking her out, but now I'm plenty warm and sometimes even end up sweating! I don't know how I ever took her out before this coat! The hood is really large and blocks out the wind really well! And the material is water and wind proof. The pockets are also huge and fit my keys and phone easily! The only con I have is the jacket is a bit heavy, but that's because it's so warm, so it's not much of a con for me. I would recommend this jacket to anyone! I'm so happy with this purchase!

I love this coat ! I wore it to take a walk in the cold , snowy, windy weather in Chicagoland area. And that was after I shoveled snow ! Keeps the rain , snow and cold out ! Love it

This puffer jacket was one of the best investments I made for my first winter in NYC. It was long and kept my legs warm as well. All I would do is slip this puffer over any of my sweaters and I was good to go. It kept me warm and snug.

This is the best winter jacket I have ever owned. Cold winter night in boston? Easy. -5 degrees with winds whipping in Jay Vermont? I've got a T-shirt on under this. The chest is a little tight which made me nervous about layering, but I haven't had to in this jacket. This jacket has made this New England winter my warmest yet, I can't recommend it enough.

I am a senior woman who, through the years, have very often been complimented on my clothing. How I appear is very important to me. When choosing clothing I look for style and functionality. I was delighted to see the coat that I purchased came in red, a color that compliments my complexion. I've been complimented on the color of the coat many times. Just yesterday, a young woman came up to me and told me, that she loved the red coat and how I accented the it with a red hat. She said I had the total package.

This is the first jacket I've owned that keeps my truly warm when I take long walks on very cold winter days. With the hood up, it's cozy even in snow and wind. A very worthwhile investment!

I HATE the cold but I live in the northeast. When I'm wearing this coat I don't feel the cold at all! Love it! My warmest coat ever.

Super warm coat. Extra fluffy and has some good weight to it. I wanted it a little bigger and got a large and I would say it fits true to size.

Wearing this coat daily in NYC winter has been great. The coat's length and two way zip are convenient for walking and biking while still staying warm. The zipper sometimes gets stuck, but very minor and nothing different than other two way zippers I have used. It blocks the wind well, and is very warm even if I don't add too many layers underneath. The matte texture of the coat is really nice, and dries fairly fast as well. Overall, I love the look and function of this coat.
