A very fine shoe. From the shoe strings to the uppers material to the foam, every element of the shoe feels good to me. I do alternate shoes on every other run. My distances are between 6-8 miles with very steep hills. Don't feel any hot spots or rubbing. Never any ankle stability issues. Probably at about 25% of the shoes life and no noticeable wear. Good or bad the HP is nothing like the Glycerin or Adrenaline from 5 or 10 years ago, the HP is modern and for me a fast shoe that doesn't transmit harsh impact into my lower legs or knees.

I love doing 5k to 10k runs in this. I used mainly for intervals but they are really comfortable both on slow runs and faster runs. I am concern they might not last longer than 300 miles but we will see.

Great shoe for high tempo runs and longer pace runs. Heel cup is very minimalistic, and falls back away from any achilles aches and locks perfect. Upper is also very minimal and locks perfect with no issues. Toe box is a little wider then some of the other Brooks which is a plus in my book. The cushioning gives great rebound and a gentle 'pop' for a higher tempo. Don't know what is going on, but I'm normally a heel to mid striker, but I'm rolling straight to the forefoot with great cushioning. Tread is deceivingly long lasting. I've taken these shoes on a 14 mile Arizona trail run and also do my high tempo work in them. I've got 300 miles on my first pair and no sign of wear. You have to give the cushioning a couple of runs to fully enjoy the plush ride. I've sent my Saucony Endorphin Speeds back, these shoes are awesome. Thank you Brooks, love what you've done!

Best mid range, high tempo shoe to put on my feet in a long time. No frills heel cup, without a ton of overstuffed garbage around it and it locks great. Uppers are minimal and also lock down perfectly with no discomfort. Can't say enough about the cushioning and roll to the forefoot on this shoe. I normally strike rear to mid, but somehow always land forefoot on this shoe with great rebound. Toe box is perfect with just enough room for even my right foot bunion. Tread has lasted 14 mile trail runs on rough Arizona terrain and the cushioning gives a good 'pop' for a great turnover. I've got 300 miles so far and the tread shoes little sign of wear. I had to go out and buy the Endorphin Speed by Saucony, but they are going back so I can by another pair of these. I would not change one thing on this shoe. Thanks Brooks, you made me happy again:) I do my Tempo (5k-10K) at my higher paces and also do my long 10+ in these shoes with no fatigue the next day. Ran a 16:10 training run in these shoes today, hence the review. YES!

I don't have the best of luck w/ super-cushioned shoes. I have been weened on old-school trainers - from the 70s-80s. Knee, calf, fasciitis, piriformis problems happen to me w/ too-soft shoes. So why did I try these? Cause I am careless and I had the $. Anyway, what a perfect shoe for me. Beautifully light, breathable upper, w/ a perfectly cushioned but firmer ride. I tried them on an indoor treadmill for 4 miles, then finally took them on the roads. Very impressed with the non-squishy, non-injury-inducing ride. Seemed quite stable, especially in the forefoot. My 2nd Brooks shoe ever; the first being the T3 (1st iteration - yellow/blk) from way back when. At ~127 lbs. and 5ft 6in I am a lightweight- heavier runners will certainly have different reactions. Excellent fit for my slightly high volume foot, and I honestly don't get the stretchy laces thing people remark about - I've never had to re-tie or snug up during a run. Anyway, nicely done Brooks! I'll be back!

I really love this shoe. I ran my personal best marathon time (2:59) with this shoe one week ago. Good for any distance (even for a marathon). Really comfortable shoe, not too narrow.

Lose the stretchy laces and tighten up the heel counter so I don't feel like my foot is going to throw the shoe and you will have the perfect shoe.

These are extremely lightweight. It’s my first experience with this so not really sure if i would use as a shoe from here on. But, they are comfortable enough, just takes some adjustment.

I bought the Hyperion Tempo to get back to running after foot surgery a couple years ago. I?ve run in Brooks for years and the Hyperion Tempo are by far my favorite training shoes. I wish I could wear them all of the time. Are there any thoughts to different color ways? Lastly, please please add this technology to the Launch and Levitate.

I bought these 6 weeks ago. I have ran in 6 Different pairs of Ghosts for years (inlcuding 5 marathons), but I was looking for a faster more responsive shoe for my speed work and hopefully for my next marathon. I read other reviews and I was encouraged by the comments. I have now put well over 100 miles on these shoes and I still love them. They have a lot of stability and I can use them for long runs, tempo runs and speed work. The shoe has a spring and propulsion that you can't fully understand without trying them on. They instantly feel fast. Ghosts are still a little more stable but you get much more speed with these shoes. I run 20-40 seconds a mile faster in these shoes than with my Ghosts. The same run produces faster results with this shoe. More importantly I have been injury free, my legs feel energized at the end of my runs, and the shoes hold up nicely. I will still use my ghosts for slow 16-20 mile training runs where I am not trying to keep a certain pace, but I will use the Hyperion Tempo for everything else.

Absolutely love this shoe. As a loyal Adrenaline GTS fan, I went out on a limb to try these out, but after 30ish miles in these, I'm really impressed. They offer a refreshingly different feel to my normal workhorse shoe, and though I'll still probably log most of my miles in the GTS, I will now lace up the Hyperion Tempo for tempo runs, speed work, and days when I just want a lighter and snappier feel underfoot. The upper is super sleek and feels like it was made for my feet, and the midsole provides a paradoxically awesome mix of cushion and responsive energy return, all while feeling ridiculously lightweight. Definitely a new favorite!

Love this shoe. I usually bounce between Brooks and Sauconys (triumph, kinvara), usually prefer 4-8 mm drop. These are my new favorites. More cushioning that the Sauconys but still springy. Very lightweight. Will probably stick to pavement and use other shoes for trail running

Love these shoes. This is my third pair and I have run 450-500 miles in the last two with no issues. Wear is excellent with these shoes and the uppers hold up versus other shoes I have purchased in the past. My only complaint is the "stretchy" laces because they do not hold my foot tight enough. I solved that by changing out the laces. That is a personal preference for me but other wise the fit is great.

I have always worn Brooks for my running shoes. I started with Ghosts, moved to the Glycerin, and am now on my 3rd pair of the Hyperion Tempo. It is the most comfortable shoe I have worn, and I use it for my daily training runs as well as races. The shape and cushioning of the shoe matches my feet perfectly. Even the sole of the shoe seems to absorb the pounding of my left footed supination better than any other shoe. There is nothing about the shoe that I don't like. And I was pleasantly surprised too to find out that most of the members of a team I run with are now wearing the Tempo.

I'm more of a 4-5 5k/wk. runner and these shoes have been great! I was wearing the Levitates before and they feel clunky at that distance, but these are perfect.
