I love the look but definitely run big. I'm usually a 9 1.2 - 10 but found the 9 was a good fit, even with a medium weight sock. I prefer a lower cut as these created pressure on my calf, so I went with a different style.

I expected to have to break these in, but they've been comfortable since I put them on! The insole comes out so I can put in my arch support one, but my need for it is pretty minimal since the boot itself has some.

I wasn’t in love with sole on the Embury.

Bought for my hubby. Good fit. Great choice for casual feel when sneakers or boat shoes won't do. Dr. Martens do take a little bit of break in time but that's pretty standard.

Got a little worried based on some reviews, but I ordered the same size I wear in ASICS (UK 10/US 11), and they fit great. 10 would have been far too small.

I read the reviews on these shoes and the biggest thing I was worried about was the sizing. Many people said they returned them because they were too large. I have a tough time getting shoe sizing right as I have one foot that's about a half size larger than the other and I often buy unique brands for casual shoes. For reference, I wear a size 12.5 (46) in Mammut, size 13 (also 46) in Ecco, size 13 in Mizuno, size 11.5 in Johnson & Murphy, size 12 in Nike, 12.5 in Red Wings, and size 13 in OluKai. Needless to say, trying on shoes is like playing darts, blindfolded! I took a stab in the dark with these and went for a size 11. Turns out, they were an exact fit. Spot on. I also have a wide toebox (Red Wings considers me an "EE" in width, though I typically wear an M or E) and a narrow heel, and these fit perfectly. I think if someone had a less wide toebox, they might find them to be a bit wide, but for me, I'm very happy. Having worn them now for a bit, they're loosening up a bit as the leather conforms to my foot, but I don't have to worry about them feeling overly large. We'll see how they hold up, but for my quick take, I'm really happy with them.

Love these Chelsea Dr. Martin's. Very comfortable. Just what I was looking for!

This is my 1st pair of Dr Martens. Always bought for my family members. Now I see why they loved them. These are very comfortable and break in after 1 use. A bit tight around the top. Hope they stretch soon, but willl be fine if they don’t. Nice looking with jeans.

These boots were an impulse buy before a walking-heavy trip but they were worth every penny fresh out the box! They were instantly comfortable (have not worn Doc Martens in years) for prolonged walking or standing. I love the brown color and how easily the leather took on waterproof spray and performed in drizzly or rainy conditions. The lug sole is a great feature, it literally and figuratively elevates the boot's look and function. However! My feet are a true US 5W and a normal width, but these boots are pretty roomy (I prefer a snug fit). But I look at it as having the room for thick socks, especially with a pull-on/off style.

Size was too big, otherwise, great looking boots!

comfortable and great fit right out of the box. I have problems with my arches so every shoe has my own replaced arch support (one foot medium and the other has a high arch). These shoes were no problem to replace/put in my arches.

I listened to the reviews and ordered a size down from what I normally would, and they fit perfectly! I’m so excited for Fall now!

I ordered the black pair, loved them so much I had to have the brown ones too !!

I originally bought a women's 8 but they were HUGE! I typically wear an 8 or 8.5 in women's boots, so I thought I'd be fine baed on reviews that said they run large. I kept them but also ordered a 7 to compare, knowing I'd return one pair. When the 7s arrived, they felt a bit tight but I wore them around the house to see if they'd stretch a bit. Thankfully they did and now they're great - exactly what I was looking for. I'd recommend that you size down or order 2 sizes and compare. Also keep in mind that the shoes will stretch a bit over time.

I love these shoes! Super comfortable, lots of room in the toe box. Ankles are a bit tight but loosen up after a couple wears. I usually wear a size 10 but ordered a 9 per other reviews and they fit perfectly.

Very well made and comfortable. Fits like a glove.

Excellent slip on boot for around the house or workshop. I wear an 11.5 in almost everything but a size 12 in these fit me great. I did upgrade the insole to a thicker, more comfortable, memory foam insole and now they are super comfy.

I've tried at least a dozen different types / brands of chelseas, and this is the only one I found that fits just the way I like.

I usually wear an 8, but after reading the reviews I ordered down a size and they fit just great! It’ll take a little time to get used to the pull/tag rubbing the back of my leg, but overall they seem comfy and they look great. I recommend!

I wear a 9.5 and a 10 in Dr. Marten boots. However, I ordered a 9 based on customer comments and they fit perfectly.

I loved these shoes. I ordered a 10 and they were still too big. I usually wear an 11. The ankles felt stiff, if those losen up as you wear it these shoes will be awesome. Wish they had half sizes.

No complaints with the boots, its fit, finish, etc. Only complaint is that Zappos sent me two different colored boots. Dr. Martens Embury: 4/5. Zappos' quality control: 1/5.

These shoes run biggggg. I had to size down 2 sizes for them to fit. Other than that great quality and super cute!
