I wanted to love this shoe. I got it in my normal brooks size and wide. The feel was bouncy yet responsive. After two miles in, you can start to feel the inside curvature of the shoe underneath your arch. I have wide feet so I thought maybe they don't do a true wide. I exchanged for a size up and the same thing. It feels like your stepping on a smaller sole designed for multiple sizes down. I loved the shoe but i hated the feel of the sole. After much research, many others validated this same feeling.

I bought the wide tennis shoes and to be honest they feel tight. They are ok for the money. I don't think I would buy them again.

I bought two pair of the Cliftons aft full price and within a week or two they were put on sale. I have asked to be made whole and the company failed to respond. As I said I feel cheated! First time buyer with bad taste about their failure to make it right. I won't buy anything else from this company!

My new Clifton 7's 2W's are not close to the Clifton 6 2W's in comfort, size or feel. The 7's are narrower in the toe area causing my toes to compress. The so-called plush cushioning is not nearly as soft as the 6's. They feel good, but certainly not great like the 6's do, under your feet.
I purposely didn't purchase the new Bondini 7's because of the bad reviews regarding the loss of cushioning. Apparently Hoka decided to cut back on the Clifton 7's too.
I would not buy Hoka's again. Very disappointing and certainly not worth the money.

Well made, but not wide enough. Gave them a test. Walked 6 miles one day, they were ok. Walked 11 miles one day, my feet were hurting because they are not quite wide enough. I will use them for short walks, and will use my New Balance for long walks. Length of shoe is ok.

Unfortunately, this didn't suit my foot and caused extra pain in ankle and top of foot. Return policy did go smoothly and I appreciate that.

The shoes inner sole on the right shoe was very stiff and starts to bother my foot after approximately 10mins of running. Left shoe is fine so figure it's a defective shoe. However, although there is a 30 day return guarantee, because of the hopes needed in order to ship back to UK. Then wait another 30 days to process the return. It left me with a negative shopping experience. For the cost of the shoes I shouldn't have to wait over 30days plus shipping costs to be satisified with my purchase...disappointed new and done customer.

I use these for running a few times a week and they've left my feet sore afterwards pretty consistently, a problem I've never had with other (significantly less expensive) running shoes. At first I thought they just weren't broken in, but the soreness persists over a month of running in.
That being said, they're more durable and cushioned than any pair I've had before, and I feel like there's much less jarring on my knees.

Make my feet hurt. Not very comfortable for me. I should have purchased the Stinson ATR 6 instead. I love Hoka but the Clifton is not a good fit for me.

Cut a bit different and coming very close to irritating that bone that sticks out from the outside of my foot. This is my 13th pair, I change them every 8-9 months and always seem to find a Clifton 5 on various websites. This time, I was not so lucky and decided to finally upgrade to the 7. I want the Clifton 5 back.

Too narrow :(
I tried to order these in a women’s 8.5D but they were sold out. So I ordered the exact shoe in a men’s 7M. They length is great, but they were definitely a women’s medium width, not a men’s medium width (which is usually a women’s wide). Sending them back for wider version.

Why did Hoka ruin a perfect shoe like Clifton by making it too narrow on the Clifton 7 edition. I enjoyed hoka over the last few years and now I am forced to go for another brand. I have been looking all over the web for a Clifton 6 my size. Wide edition Clifton 7 aren't perfect either. Something wrong with their manufacturing.

The fit is very narrow compared to all my other shoes. This is my 3rd pair of Cliftons. Disappointment.

The shoes themselves are comfortable but, unfortunately only after maybe a week and a half the rubber grips on the bottom of the shoes have already come apart and fallen off.

What have they done to the Clifton?! There is a silly looking point at the back of the shoe (where you might pull it to slip on). It sticks out making the shoe not only unattractive (in my opinion), but nearly unwearable with long pants (the paints keep slipping inside the back of the shoe). This was my favorite shoe. I've owned 4 or 5 pairs (versions 5 and 6). No more until Hoka One One resolves this.

I purchased these about 8 months ago. This is my third pair of Hokas, so I am a fan of the brand, but these sneakers developed some type of crease in the sole after a few months that was initially a little annoying, and has become so bad that I cannot wear these sneakers any more. I tried buying some thicker socks, but did not work.

Love the shoe but ordering on line was a nightmare. Couldn't find my order and finally after more calls than I should have had to make I got my shoes.
Not much of a customer experience.

The EE wide is very narrow. They are narrow in the wrong place in the toe box. There needs to be some kind of valid standard for widths. In this case A EE is no better than a D.

I have never ordered a wide shoe before but I just submitted an exchange for this shoe. I am getting the same shoe but in wide.

No padding on the heel & not enough around the ankle. Didn't take long before the mixture of lack of padding & design to cause rubbing and leave my achilles and heel raw, inflamed, and angry. 125 miles into a pair of shoes that should have lasted a lot longer. I regularly put 400+ miles on the 6's without these issues. Back to Bondi which is excellently padded...not great for speedy runs though unfortunately.
