Upper fit great and snug. Heel counter was comfortable. Cushioning was plentiful and springy. However, I rubbed blister after 2 runs in tthis shoe on the interior of the ball of my foot. It was from the midsole foam that you kinda sit down in. Alot of people like that about Hoka..but it didn't work out for me. For that reason, I returned it...but I will say Hoka did a great job on this shoe..it just personally doesn't work for me.

However, the fit is not ideal if you are anything wider than a C/D width. sole is very comfortable, interior sidewalls are tight and have not yet stretched to a total comfort level. Materials are first class.

Everything about these shoes is great except for one issue: the heel area. It has rubbed both of my heels raw. I thought they would break in over time, but they haven't and the rubbing is just getting worse. Returning them for the Bondis.

I have been running in the wide versions of the Clifton 6 and Bondi 6. Both of those shoes are great on my feet. Purchased the Clifton 7 in wide and they fit like a non wide Clifton. When held up and compared to my other HOKA shoes in wide (Speedgoat 4, ATR 5, Clifton 6, Bondi 6) they are noticeably more narrow. Hope this is not a new trend with HOKA. Was planning on getting the Bondi 7 in wide, but I'm afraid they will also be too narrow. Why can't you just leave a good shoe alone?

I have always worn size 11.5 because they run small. The Clifton 7is too big for some reason. I just ran a Half marathon and had to wear two pair of socks because they were too big

Not impressed with the feel or the support they provide wish I would have purchased the the Bondi 6 or 7. Thanks for a great shoe Sorry They just haven't meet my expectations with all of the positive feedback from my Dr my Daughter in Law who's a nurse and many reviews I read before making the purchase.

I've been running in Cliftons since the Clifton 2. The first version of the Clifton 3 is my favorite running shoe. When I saw the changes they made with the Clifton 4 I avoided it. I was able to find the Napali which was the Clifton 3. Once I put 500 miles on those, Hoka was doing a limited run with the Clitfon 1. Now my luck has run out. I couldn't find any alternative Clifton shoes. I know people like this type of Clifton, but it's not for me. They aren't as cushy as the Clifton 2 or 3. I also didn't like how narrow the outsole feels. I love how wide the outsoles are on the Clifton 1,2 and 3. When Hoka created the Clifton 4 it stopped being a true Clifton. I will not be buying another Clifton until they go back to the roots of the first 3 version of the shoe.

I unfortunately didn't see a wide version or missed it. Highly recommend the shoes otherwise. Just make sure you specify.

This was my third Clifton model. Disappointed as the toe box seemed much smaller then previous models. Still greats hues and would always recommend Hoka but I Switched to the Rincon instead.

I have been a Hoka Clifton fan for years. I purchased the 7's in May and the back heal has torn now the plastic is digging f into my heel. I've done several Ironmans with my other Clifton's with zero issues, but these Clifton 7's are not up to par with the others.

The shoes run small, was not able to do an exchange, I was told that the pair I got was on sale and no returns or exchange was available. I ended up giving them to my mother in law. Good shoes bad customer service

One of the shoes was defective and had a piece of fabric hanging down in the toe box which I could feel when I ran and was causing a blister. Otherwise they are the same Hoka Clifton that I love.

Could feel the outside of soles break down within the first few walks making the shoes worthless for anything but short wears. Disappointing.

I originally bought the Clifton 8 and really liked it: good cushion and wider toe box. I decided to buy the Clifton 7, thinking it would be the same, but keep getting rubbing along the 1st metatarsal due to shape and narrowness of the shoe. I didnt realize they widened the toebox and changed the shape of the shoe. Wish I hadnt gone backward in buying.

At first, it was comfortable then when I started wearing them it pitched on the sides. I bought wide width for a reason but it just didn't work out. The sad part is, no returns or exchanges.

I had a pair of Hoka's for years, loved them, they were so comfortable! My puppy got a hold of them and they are no more. so I purchased a new pair. These are made cheaper, make my heels ache and now I have to find something better.
