I really enjoy this shoe since it has a wide toe box. Also very light and responsive.

Very cushy bottom. My calf muscles are going to have to adjust to the stride, I cramped up on my first run in them. They are very light and seem like they will help with shin splints once I get used to them. I bought the 2E and they feel like a D. I have to say they are extremely comfortable but I am trying to reserve them for running only. They would make great all day shoes.

The Clifton 7 is my first pair of Hokas and I love them! I am a 40+ mile per week runner and use these as my daily trainer. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is due to a slightly narrow toe box. The shoe is true to size but I would like to see a touch more width at the instep.

Nice shoe - seems to run narrow. Ordered in a larger size - too large. Ordered another pair slightly smaller - fits fine.

Felt about a half size larger than I expected. Very soft to walk/stand on. Hope it stays that way.

I bought these because I got shin splints from jumping rope and running... Problem solved.

The shoe is kind of difficult to get on. The opening is pretty small and it doesn't just slip on. You have to maneuver your foot into the shoe by stretching and prying the opening of the shoe. Haven't had the shoe long enough to see how it is for durability. I walk 5 miles a day but have only had it a little over two weeks.

I bought wide and a size up so they're a little long and still not quite wide enough. They'll due but a little disappointing. All disappointed that to buy a women's wide I have to buy a basic color, nothing fun. I might recommend if someone has perfect sized feet.

After having only logged a few short runs, the midsole is as advertised. But as others have said, the shoe tends to run a bit narrow. Not enough to get a wide, but to have a little rubbing around the toebox, esp when rounding corners.

I am a recent convert to the HOKA products and love my new pair of Clifton 7s. The fit is perfect and the shoe is very light and comfortable.

As I am approaching 100 miles in these shoes, I can say they are a good shoe that really is in need of some improvements. Most of my mileage is on the streets and a network of paved community trails in my town. On occasion, I run on a treadmill at work. I consider myself an average runner weighing 185 pounds, who can put in about 40 miles/week. After a couple of weeks running in the Clifton 7, here is my take. The pros of this shoe: Cushioning was just right for my weight. Plush, but not too soft. Tread is ideal for pavement, both dry and wet. Even worked well on fine crushed gravel sections of a trail. Durability of the sole and upper seem like they will last a long time. Hopefully I can get over 400 miles out of the Clifton 7. Cons: Not true to size. This is my third pair of HOKA shoes, but the first I have had to go a half size smaller. Normally a 12, but had to get an 11-1/2. This shoe is the most narrow HOKA I've ever ran in. It amazes me that I can fit into other regular sizes in the HOKA line up, but this model is almost way too narrow. I can manage in very thin socks, which make it snug, but thick socks for the cold days are out of the question. Tongue needs some work. I like the gusseted tongue and how it doesn't move around. Unfortunately, the stitching for a tongue strap on the right shoe has began to rip. (I plan to take them back to the store where I purchased them or submit a warranty claim through HOKA) Lastly is the price. I'm not totally convinced these shoes are worth the price listed on the website. HOKA could make this shoe into something great if they could tweak the width and shoe sizing to match other models in their line up like the Speedgoat 3. Fingers crossed for a much better Clifton 8 in the future.

I like snug shoes but this shoe is almost too snug shoe like the Clifton 6. Otherwise, the shoes are comfortable. Shoelaces are shorter but like the fact they don't come untied after a whole day at work. This is a better buy than the bondi 7. Will consider buying this again if Hoka comes up with more traditional color schemes. I find most of the colors off-putting! Haven't worn this and the bondi 7 enough if they cause a soreness on the side of my big toes at the end of the day like my Clifton 6 and bondi 6 does.

I loved the cushion in this shoe but it didn't work for me due to the feeling that my foot rests on the inside edge of the shoe by the arch. It was like the shoe was shaped wrong for me. Just not quite enough sole. That was with me ordering a EE by the way.

I really like the Clifton 7, still not as much as the Clifton 1. I would like the 7 more if it weren't for the pure mesh upper. I have a difficult time locking in my foot with the all mesh upper of any shoe, requiring re-tying of the laces during the run after 1-2 miles. I cannot understand why Hoka tries so hard to avoid carrying the Clifton 1 permanently. Hoka wants to make $$ right? As a substitute for the Clifton 1, this will have to do. Despite that, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the 7. It has a nice response from the sole during road distance runs and even road tempo runs. The tongue is an improvement over the Clifton 1. The 7 is better than the Clifton 2-6, and I have worn all of them over the years. I'd give it 5 stars except for the all mesh upper.

This is my 3rd pair of Hoka Ones, and my 2nd pair of Cliftons. I ordered the WIDE size 12, but it doesn't feel all that much wider than my previous Cliftons. Most likely I will order the Garriota 2 next time

A bit disappointed with the new Clifton this year, as the loop that is typically at the ankle has been replaced with a tab instead. Much preferred the older model.

They look really nice and feel pretty good but the shoe seems a little narrower than my Clifton 6's. Maybe after time, they'll loosen up

I really like the style and how comfortable it feels. The only reason why I am not giving it a five start is because I have a custom orthotic which fits inside the show but feels a bit tight even with the wider style I ordered. I haven't experience this with other shoes like Brooks and Asics.

I am generally pleased with the Clifton 7 but there is one thing I do not like. The Hoka One One shoes that have a strap at the heel are much more convenient for me. It is much easier to pull on the shoes and also to carry the shoes around when I'm not wearing them. Straps on the heels would be a great Improvement for this style.

I love Clifton shoes since the beginning. The 7's are no different. Easy to run in and very comfortable. The only downside to Hoka shoes is they wear faster than other brand shoes at the same cost level.
