I was surprised in the store how narrow the shoe is. Had to go with a different shoe. I don't have wide feet, i never buy wide sized shoes.

I bought size 12 and it is very tight as a fit. Last pair I bought was a much better fight. Not happy with the shoes.

Fits small. I bought the shoe and didn't wear it for a few weeks after delivery. I tried the shoe a few times, put about 50 miles on between 3 runs and they wrecked my feet every time. Not a fan, too small.

The product provides some comfort and support but not enough for me. I'd like to try another shoe from Hoka but not at the price point that is offered

The shoe liner fit very odd in the heel the caused it to press on the inside of my heel. Feels like i'm constantly stepping on something. Secondly this is supposed to be a wide but it can barely qualify as that. Hokas seem to run narrow anyhow but the wide should at least be a true wide. This is my third pair of Hokas I've had width issues with. Never had this issue with other running shoe brands.

I'm a really Hoka fan, I been using them for years, but I just purchased a pair of Clifton 7 like a month ago and they just rip, both shoes on the inside, I don't know what happened, I wrote them and they told me that I can return and after them check the shoes they gimme some credit, I'm telling you, I really like this shoes, got 5 pairs now and these ones are the only ones that I can complain about

Not wild the changes this model has made. Shoe feels tighter and less comfortable because of the elastic holding the tongue in place.

The shoes are well cushioned but the sole is physically larger than I am use to.
I'm not sure about wear yet. The last time I tried Hoka shoes (also Clifton) they wore out quickly (around 100 to 150 miles). I'm hoping for better luck with this pair.

You need to put more durable rubber on heels !

Hoka came highly recommended by my distance running brother so I ordered a pair of Clifton 7. For reasons I can not explain, the left shoe seems too tight across the top of my foot, but the right fits fine. I am right-handed so it would make sense for the right to fit a bit tighter, but the opposite is the case. I checked with my podiatrist and he measured my feet and found that the right is, indeed, slightly larger. He then measured the inside of the shoes and found that the left shoe has a narrower margin than the right. Is this a manufacturing irregularity? If so, I need another left shoe, Size 11, black. I'll send this one back.

Decided to give Clifton 7 a chance after living the Rincon 2 and speedgoat. The arch feels narrow and feet feel fatigued after just walking in shoe.

I really like Cliftons. My 3 pairs previous to this one I ran 900, 1000 and 700 miles and I really like them for their comfort and durability. This pair it feels like there is a ridge running from toe to heel through the right shoe. I would send them back but am outside the 30 day period - also hoping that if I run in them a bit this issue will go away...

I've been buying your shoes for years and thought they would be as nice as the Stinson ART 5 (best shoes I've ever owned).
They just don't have the cushion I need.

The shoes are find but nothing special. I threw away the insoles and replaced them with better ones. There is no arch support worsening my metatarsal pain. I am not sure why this brand is so hot lately.

I like the shoes overall but the right side of the right shoe hurts my foot for ~30 of walking then the pain goes away. I think the shoe, 2E, is just a bit too narrow. I should have returned them but...
I will buy another pair of Hokas in the future

Fit and size were great. This is a lightweight shoe as marketed. What was a great surprise is that this rapidly, and I mean RAPIDLY, developed a wear-through hole from the heel cup on the left hand shoe that cut through my sock and into my heel on a recent run. (Ouch.) I lace and unlace my shoes. This obviously should not happen.
According to my tracking app, I had 169 miles on them, which is fair but inexcusable for this kind of a breakdown. They will be retired at this milestone and I will not be buying the Clifton again. I can get more miles out of track cleats.

I'm a basketball referee and have noticed the rising popularity of Hoka's amongst our group. I am pleased with how comfortable the shoe is, and my concern about ankle support hasn't manifested - but the biggest disappointment is the quick deterioration of the 'grippiness' of the bottom of the shoe. I exclusively wear these on hardwood basketball courts and have had Brooks, Nikes, Aasics that have lasted years (or worn out for other reasons), but never because they lost the grip on the bottom. I'm not sure if I would order Hokas again - they are the most comfortable, but they've worn out in less than 6 weeks (roughly 1/3 of the season) to the point where I'm wiping the bottom of my shoe ever deadball just to maintain enough grip to run. I hope this issue can be fixed - if so I would purchase 3-4 pairs every year for ref usage, perhaps some for personal use as well.
