After two pairs of Stinsons, I decided I needed a lighter shoe for trail running. The Torrent 2s are perfect. They are the most cushioned 9 oz. shoes I've ever worn in almost 50 years of running. I'm excited!

A coworker recommended them because of how comfortable they are. I fell in love with the orange torrent 2, since orange is my favorite color. They are very comfortable! I have gotten compliments on how cool they look every time I've wore them. I'll be buying another pair soon! :)

I used this shoes on rolling trail running 9 miles, just by switching from ASICS trail shoes to Hoka one I improved my pace by 12 seconds. Very responsive, light , very stable. I stayed same size as I was using ASICS which was 9.5, but I noticed the medium width normal width was great fit. My toes were not squeezed.

I purchased these shoes true to size. I originally got the speed goat 4 but returned because I felt unstable in that shoe. I do wish the torrent 2 had vibram lugs. The lugs on these seem fine. Only time will tell. I'm not really a runner but I do love walking and hiking trails. These seem like a great option to wearing heavy hiking boots. Like I said I'm new to hoka, but the comfort is there. And as long as I feel as though I got money's worth then I will return.

Light trail. Everyday.

First time ordering Hoka online; my son handed me up a pair of his, which I really liked. I ordered the Torrent as I was recovering from hyperextending a knee playing basketball. These babies fit like gloves and helped me ease back into running again. I have had a long journey through a lot of brands trying to find a running shoe brand for me, and my search is over. I love these shoes!

Uses: trail running, hiking. What I love about it: Lightweight, comfortable -- I forget they're on. Perfect fit for average width feet, size 9. The shoe laces are something else: they're flat, tough, yet flexible, and seem incapable of coming loose. Traction is real and confidence-inspiring. What I don't love about it: Fine sand will get through, but that's unavoidable, as far as I'm concerned, if you want breathable uppers.

These shoes are comfortable, strudy, and provide good traction. They do the job for the light trail hiking that I do on a daily basis. My only concern with these particular shoes is that they do not seem to allow my feet to breathe enough. The ventilation in the upper is minimal and traps the heat in the shoe too much. Maybe they were designed this way for more waterproofing, I am not sure. I have only worn these in cold weather so far and would probably not use them in summer months or for long hikes. I have also not tried them on wet, slippery rocks yet, but the soles seem to be able to handle that.

I love Hoka's. I have had 4-5 pairs. Started with the Clifton 2's. Obviously this is a trail running shoe. I have been hitting the pavement for the last 120 miles with them and now have a few knee issuesthat I had with other running shoes-and we're fixed when I got a pair of Hoka's. Just don't use these on pavement. Great for the trail.

Currently my second pair of Hoka's and I must say that I'm enjoying them immensely.

These sneakers fit great are very comfortable and I can wear them all day. Great for walking too. Just wish them came in more standard colors like black and white.

I run about 15 miles a week and love Hoka. These are my 5th pair and fit the bill with one exception - they lack arch support so I had to buy inserts. I haven't had to do that with my prior Hokas.

The shoe itself is great - we've used the torrent in the past. Only problem was the expedited shipping. All week expected delivery was for Friday (perfect timing for a meet that weekend). On Friday delivery date was moved. Thankfully I had a code for free expedited shipping but it still threw a wrench in our plans

I bought this shoe on looks alone. I am not a male that normally buys shoes on this criterion mainly, however, this shoe, while less comfortable than the speedgoat 4, is inherently way more attractive, to me, than any hoka shoes I have previously worn. OBVIOUSLY I am speaking of the real teal/harbor mist color.

I walk a lot at work and these are very comfortable as I have toe issues as well.

I walk in them. I'm not sure I got the correct shoe. I wish their site would differentiate what the shoes do in a better way.

In general the Torrent has a good arch and is very comfortable. I have a pair of Torrent's from about 3 years ago, size 12 (I'm a 11.5) , fit great but worn out. The new ones are more true to size so they ended up being a touch big, which wasn't bad but they are also a touch narrower than my old Torrents. Hoka was kind enough to take them back.

I'm on my feet all day and my Hoka shoes provide firm support with a very rigid sole. I find that the upper has just enough material to comfortably lace up....like I can't use both a tight lace and a loose lace to change it up. Just a loose lace. I'm waiting for the inner sole to conform to my foot more. I still prefer my old pair of Brooks
