Great cushioning. Makes too much pressure on my great toe so I am going to try to put 1/32" pad under the isdie of the heel.

I bought both the Clifton 6 and Clifton 7 shoes to see which would fit better. The Clifton 7s rubbed my ankle in a weird way, the tongue of the shoe was a problem (it's sewn in), and overall it just didn't fit as well as the Clifton 6 did, so the 7s I sent back and the 6s I've been walking in every evening.

I ordered a 7.5 wide and an 8 wide. I normally wear a 7.5 wide, but the toe box was too small (rubbed on my pinky toe). I returned the 7.5 and kept the 8. I have tons of room beyond my big toe, but I needed the extra length in order to get the width I need.

I tried both the Clifton 6 and the Clifton 7. The Clifton 6 seemed to have more room overall. The Clifton 7 had a much snugger fit over the midfoot. I think it's due to the mesh holding the tongue in place. I wanted to keep them and clip the mesh out to see if it would solve my problems. However, there seems to be a hard piece of something that hits my arch in the wrong spot on both models. I really liked the cushioning on the foot bed, but for the price, I couldn't trust that the piece that bothered my arch would go away with use. Maybe it's just that I have odd feet (short and wide) so arch support in shoes never seem to hit in the right spot. I reluctantly decided to return the shoes.

I wanted to love these…but had to return. The main issue is that it has barely any arch support. I wouldn’t consider my feet super high arches, but they are higher than average and it was driving me insane. I do a lot of inclines on the treadmill and my calves were killing me! The discomfort was none existent once I put my On Clouds back on. I even got some high arch insoles to try with them but it took away from they cloudy benefits that Hokas are known for. I know the description says moderate arch support but I think that’s a bit generous. I would say minimal arch support. Fortunately, Zappos is awesome with their runlimited 30 day guarantee (which is why I’m giving 3 instead of 2 stars) so I had time to test them and see if they were worth keeping because they were really cute, but decided to save the money and find the right pair. I will be a return Zappos customer as a result!

This is my fifth pair of the Clifton 7s. They are by far the most comfortable Cliftons, next to the 3s. My only issue is that the 7s wear out, on the inside of the shoe, very quickly. I’ve had to buy a fifth pair, as my first four have completely worn out on the inside of my left heel. Most wore out within 3 months. The material is gone and they rub my heel. I walk 2-4 miles daily and wear them when teaching my fitness classes. I had plantar fasciitis (gone now) and an old stress fracture. These shoes are the only ones that keep my feet from throbbing the next morning. I have zero foot pain now. I just wish the inside lasted as long as the outside.

The fit wasn't like the last version of these I bought twelve months ago. The shoebox was very tight. And since Zappos was bought out by Amazon (I just found out) I won't be shopping here again.

Loved the style of this but the arch support was wonky. I have high arches and instead of support I felt a sharp almost splintering feeling in my arch after wearing them only once! I ordered the Bondi 7s instead and they are so much more supportive!

I didn't love these at all. wish I could return them but I wore them. The arch is so uncomfortably high, they are very clunky becuase the front is really wide so I feel like Im going to trip over my own feet. I would not recommend.

My 5th pair of this brand and the first to go back. Not the usual hoka-and not in a good way. Too stiff- not the usual give of the sole. Weird uncomfortable strap inside the shoe connecting the tongue to the insole both on inside and outside of foot. Squeezed my high instep by being in this fixed position.

Toe box was narrow

A spongy cushioned ride. After a few months they have given me blisters on the inside heel of both feet. The foam sole isn't as durable as those on other shoe brands. Probably will not purchase again.

Loved the colors, but decided to go with the Bondi 7 for the cushioning.

These shoes look great and felt plush, but they are just too narrow. Unfortunately, the color I wanted is not available in wide. I have never needed wide in other Hoka styles, so that is surprising. The length felt longer than with other Hoka shoes I have.

Very flat insole. Very little cushioning. Like the brand but not the style

First time buying the Hoka brand and for me they just didn't work. I wore them once: my arches, knees and hips hurt. Very nice looking sneaker, they seem like they're well made. Unfortunately, not good for me.

Hoka One One Clifton's are my favorite shoes. Even though these Clifton's felt true to size and width I developed blisters on both heels. Then holes started developing on the inside heel part of both shoes. This all happened in the space of about a month. I have never had this happen with Cliftons. If I could return these I would.

I am a Hoka fanatic. I love their sneakers; the extra cushioning has extended my running life and made it enjoyable. I needed new sneakers and the Cliftons have always been my go-to. However, with the Clifton 7 I was very disappointed. Out of the box, they felt stiff and unresponsive. I felt like I was running with bricks on my feet instead of the "running on clouds" sensation I was used to. I tried it running on a treadmill and a few days later running outside on my usual road route. I felt like I was fighting my feet. Ugh! Don't know what was changed but this is definitely NOT the Hoka experience I've come to expect, enjoy and rave to others about. I sent these back and will try the Mach 4's. Hopefully they will be closer to my expectations. Sorry Hoka, but you let me down.

The wide width is not very wide. Would love this shoe if it was wide enough for orthotics.
