I heard good things, but honestly not a fan. They certainly do feel like pillows, but a mere two mile walk left one foot aching as well as both calves. Probably is a good shoe, but keep in mind that the higher heel also works the calf more so if you are not a fan of additional calf workout then this shoe is not for you.

Very disappointed with the Clifton 7. Not at all comfortable like the Clifton 5. The Clifton 5 you feel like you are walking on clouds.

The shoe is lightweight and has a lot of cushion in the heel. With that said, my heel would sink and I felt like my toes were higher than my heel. That killed my knees. I am on my third day of trying to get my knees from throbbing. I wish there was a place local that I could have tried them. Not a hoppy customer considering it cost over $100.

They have been uncomfortable from the outset but I have foot pain and they are recommended by medical professionals because of the padding and the rocker toe. My feet are miserable in them. The mesh tongue guard hurts too. My underfoot pain is worse in these than other shoes I own. Sorry Hoka. Never again. Can I still return them?

This shoe is just not for me....within days of wearing them my legs were in a lot of pain to the point that walking was painful. I stopped wearing them to see if indeed it was the shoes but after wearing them again my low back @went out"...a lot of pain. I have not tried to return due to me wearing them for a week and a few days. The shoe itself is nice looking, good construction and comfortable but just not for my gait. I have had two other pairs of Hoka sneakers that were great.

These hurt my feet so bad which was shocking considering how many people encouraged me to buy Hokas. Returned them. Bummer.

These shoes are good for walking, but not so great for running. I prefer a lighter shoe with better arch support.

This shoe is an abomination. It is really now just the Bondi. What happened to the Clifton? After Hoka discontinued the Clifton 4, their sneakers are a scam. Overpriced, lasting about a month, too squishy, and way too wide. My feet, legs and hip can all testify to the horridness of this shoe. Do not buy it. Boycott it, so we can demand that they bring back quality footwear. I am going to try out Skechers. Their shoes are under $100 ! Perhaps then I won't feel so bad about being ripped off. Lucky to have Zappos because they make returns so easy. Five star to Zappos, zero stars to Hoka One One!

Falling apart! I have had these shoes for only 5 months and wore them minumailly and the fabric is ripping everywhere - the side, the back - they look like they are 5 years old. My other Hoka - the Mach 2 - I have had for 2-1/2 years - were all the time, rain, hiking, dirt and they look better and have no shoes.

Clifton 6 would have been the last shoe I would ever wear. I own 5 pairs. However, I hate the new design and fit of the 7. The toe box is more narrow which is causing pressure on my foot. Or it could be the fixed tongue which makes the shoe fit weird. And I miss the pull loop in the back. I don't know why people always feel the need to fix what isn't broken. I returned a pair of 7's and tried to get a wide which fits slightly better but my feet still hurt at the end of a shift, which never happened in the 6! I will not be buying more and looking for another shoe to get me through my long days. Hoka stop making bad changes to a great shoe! Hopefully you will correct yourselves with the 8, otherwise it will be time to fly to another shoe brand !

Cause knee pain when I ran. It was prettier than any asic shoe but the knee pain it created it one knee was too much to run thru. I ran with these about a week to give it time to work. Also did walking in them everyday. I had to return them. I tried to exchange them for a more stable shoe but we were moving apartments and they would not let me change the address on the exchange. These shoes were a gift so them saying I would have to order again wouldn't work. So now I have no running shoes and no exchanged shoe because they refused to simply go in the computer system and change the shipping address. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they wouldn't let me. Makes you not wanna try a company when this is how they respond.

Really comfortable running shoes at first, but if you're someone with really high aches, these are not for you. I find after 10 minutes of running, my feet and calves are on fire. This is really upsetting as I've heard such great things and they are genuinely such comfortable shoes, but they just do not work well for my needs.

I finally got a pair of Clifton sevens after waiting a month for a color to restock and I never did. My first run in them I had major blisters on my big toe worse than I have ever had before. So the next run I taped over them and then I got blisters on the other side of my foot. I had never had any problem with blisters in my Brooks that I had before but I wanted to try Hokas because I had heard good things about them. Now every run I have some type of pain or ache on my foot that I never had before when I ran in Brooks for years or when I played basketball for years and was running dozens of miles a week. I really regret buying them.

I was a loyal Clifton fan for years. If something is great, quit trying to improve it. You've ruined what used to be great shoes. These shoes are painful. The arch support is rock hard and kills my feet. The sizing is inconsistent. And trying to get shoes exchanged was a nightmare. After many years, I think it's time to take my business elsewhere. Your product quality has declined. And your customer service is difficult. Disappointed on all levels.

I would give this shoe a zero if I could. The cushioning on the outside of the foot is so extreme it causes the foot to roll in at an exaggerated response. In addition, it is not soft cushioning. It's hard and causes pain in the foot. This is the only shoe I have worn that causes serious ankle pain. I put 40 miles a week on my shoes and was looking for something with more stability and cushion. These were recommended but NEVER AGAIN. The design is such that I feel I am wearing platform shoes. I really liked my Brooks but felt they broke down fast. I am now resigned to the fact i will need to buy the brooks every quarter just for comfort.

I have bad feet, bad knees, and a bad lower back. I've used NB 990s for years. When I get a new pair of those, all my symptoms subside until the sneakers get worn out. On the recommendation of an acquaintance, I tried HOKA. Made it two weeks but all three of my issues flared to such a marked degree that I needed to stop running for a few days to recuperate. I've heard great things about these sneakers but unfortunately, they did not work for me. Grateful for the 30-day money back guarantee though. Much appreciate that, thank you.

I have to say I was very disappointed with these shoes. They were so tight I could barely get them on and my feet cramped right away only after taking a few steps in them. I immediately took them off, put them back in the box and printed a return label! The return was very easy and the payment returned to my credit card within the couple of days it took to send them back. Great return experience and I have since ordered a pair of Stinson ATR wide.

I was gifted a pair of Women's Clifton 7s in October 2020 and they were the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I walk for exercise and it is time to replace them - the old pair still felt comfortable but were starting to show wear. I ordered a new pair last week and the foot bed is completely different (even a different color) - all the things I loved in my first pair are not the same. No cushion, no arch support and no roll. I returned them and will go back to Brooks. I am so disappointed in the change.
