Just bought my fourth pair of Olympus - best shoe ever! I literally wear them all day, every day, for everything. I don't run, due to arthritis, balance issues, and several joint replacements. I also wear a custom orthotic due to a leg length discrepancy and the Olympus provides the best space for that. The zero drop is exactly what I need and the cushioning is outstanding. I also appreciate the more feminine colors, as I attempt to match my shoes to my work clothes. Please don't ever stop making this shoe!

I own several pairs of Altras including the Torin 3.5, Torin 4.5 plush, but the Olympus 4 has got to be my favorite and I'm going to be ordering me another pair. I wear them 7 days a week but mostly at work standing on concrete, 6 days a week. I have severe plantars and usually wear an orthotic, but I haven't had to with these. The cushioning is amazing and the traction is incredible, even on ice, I feel stable and they feel grippy. I highly recommend the Olympus 4 and I hope Altra doesn't try and make them better because they already are the best. Nice wide toe box. Zero drop heel. Everything is wonderful!

I am awestruck by the comfort of this shoe. I have always had an issue with my feet smelling bad in a closed shoe but I can have these shoes on all day and my feet do not sweat or smell. I have great balance and NOTHING hurts not even my bunions!. I'm ready to get another pair in different color. I bought the green this time I went with a half size larger and a wide due to my sensitive bunions. They fit perfect. I really love these shoes. I have always had comfort issues with all of my previous shoes but I can't say not a single negative comment about these. I'm.so thankful I finally have a great pair of comfortable walking and everyday shoes.

I recently was wearing Timps but the toe box got narrower. The Olympus is much more comfortable and I will be doing all my hikes in them.

I ordered a half size up, & shouldn't have. They are true to size. My feet go in like slippers. But I have to say that they are very comfortable for my difficult feet. (bunions, hammer-toes, arthritis) I like the wide toe-box, the great support, & the smart look of these shoes. I highly recommend! I have two pair

I love the fit and feel of this shoe. I'd like different color choices. My size sold out quickly in the more feminine colors

I am a hiker/backpacker, not a runner, but I've been trying various Altra shoes because I need a wide toe box and I like zero drop. Lone peaks did not work for me. My favorite was the Superior 4.0 but they broke down during a 200 mile hike. I would buy another pair, because the fit and upper material was so great, but they are not available anymore. I also have the Timp 2.0, which was wide enough, but the top squished my feet-I have high arches and high volume feet. This led to sore arches and annoyance when I carried a pack over 40 miles. So I finally tried the Olympus. Holy cow! Fit is perfect-finally an Altra with enough volume in the mid foot. I measure as a 7.5 wide. I got an 8 in these and have a little room left at the toe, but not enough to go with 7.5. My pinky toes are pushing on the sides but the material is forgiving and no rub. The new cushioning is firm, but softer than the Timp. I was worried I would feel unstable with such a high stack, but when you put these on, it feels like you are securely down in them, not wobbling on top. I threw on a pack and hit the treadmill, and I'm happy so far. Glad these have Vibram-hoping that will help with traction on trails.

I love Altras but the unpredictability of the sizing is frustrating. Although, I like the softer top and overall comfort of the shoe they're too large and wide in the toe box. I have wide feet so that's why I like Altra but these are too roomy. It's too much of a hassle to send back so I'm going to wear thicker socks but I hope they can improve this.

These are absolutely the best shoes I've ever owned! I havent had any problems to date but will update this should I have any issues. I need a wide toe box for arthritic toes and I need a lot of cushion. This pair meets my needs.

Been with Hokas since their original shoes but as I age, my already wide duck foot has gotten wider. I went out on a limb with the Olympus 3.5 and was disappointed with the limited toe box so in looking at the new 4.0, again went out on a limb. LOVE the new updates! Foot actually has room to wear my Injinji toe socks. I trail run and road/gravel run. To no fault of the shoe, in months I run on road/gravel, my wear patterns on the sole of shoe really get beat down. Love the pull loop on heel, and heel counter more durable, not apt to fold down when trying to get into shoe quickly. Wish they would make a hybrid trail/road shoe with the same "mold". :).

I am presently using these shoes to run in. In the past, my feet have had some medical issues, hence, I have not been able to run for at least fifteen years. with happy tears, now, I am able to run again for at least ten to 15 minutes a day. I tribute the ability to the shoes.

I bought the shoes at my shoe size, but constantly ran into issues of tightness at the front of the shoe for the first few weeks working it in, so I would buy it a half size up in the future. That being said, they are the most comfortable shoes I ever owned. Very well cushioned. Don't really feel the rocks. The sole feels large at first, but it really stabilized me on the trail and worked wonders at those times I found myself off trail. I put on 500 miles on them on rocky trails and terrain and now just use them for the road because they still have a lot of cushion, but no tread. Questions about durability though because they tore and developed holes in the toe box cover area, but they didn't form until significant mileage. I would love to make this shoe my mainstay due to the cushion feel and durability on rocks.

I wore Altra Timp Trails for several years but the 2.0 version was a letdown. I tried Torin Plush 4.5, but they don't provide the grip or stability I need (not the shoe's fault - they are road shoes, and I need trail shoes). The Olympus 4 is perfect for what I need - solid footing on trails. My foot feels secure in the shoe, and the wide heel base gives me lots of traction and security. They are slightly wide on my feet, but I can lace tightly enough to make it work, and the wide toebox is great.

Really comfortable. I have sensitive feet and plantar fasciitis. I can wear these sneakers for hours at a time and everyday without my feet hurting. They are very cushy.

I needed better traction for wet tile floors at work and was wearing the Torin. Big fan, great shoes Looked at these and gave them a try. I'm a big fan of the fit. The lug sole is awesome! No more slippery feet.

The shoes are very comfortable and fit well. I hike on hilly uneven gravel trails. My steps feel secure and don't slide on the gravel. Love them.

I always buy a 1/2 size up with running shoes and am always happy with that choice.
Toe box on 4 is slightly narrower, but I loosened the laces and it's fine. I like the smaller thinner tongue due to sensitive right foot instep. Awesome cushion, and fits great around my ankle and heel so no rubbing. Love the Olympus, and the new color options...just not the higher price.

These are the most comfortable athletic shoes I've owned in years. I'm on my feet all day at work so comfort and support are paramount. I wear a size 9 which was too small so had to exchange for 9/12. The extra toe width is perfect for me. I'd recommend ordering a half size larger than usual size.

I am a fan of the Lone Peak 4.5's, and I tried these so I can have some variety in my shoes when I run and walk. These give more padding on the bottom than the Lone Peak 4.5's, but with the same wide toe box and level of stability even though they have a thicker sole. They feel springy and comfortable. The Moroccan Blue is darker than it appears in the photo--really pretty.

I have hiked in King MT's for years, because I only trust a Vibram sole when I hike on slippery cliffside rock. The newest update of the King MT was so painfully narrow that I decided to give the Olympus a try for a 3 week hike in the mountains of Maine. I normally don't wear a highly cushioned shoe, but I have to say Wow to the Olympus. The Olympus is the first Altra shoe that has actually been wide enough that it doesn't cramp the side of my foot or pinky toe. Also they are wide enough that I don't roll my ankles or loose my pinky toenails. Other Altra shoes my foot hangs off the side of the shoe. I don't even have wide feet. Altra shoes in general have gotten narrower over the years. I was impressed that Altra made a shoe wide enough for a woman's foot. I must also say the cushioning is amazing! Literally everyone else on the hike complained about how bad their feet hurt. My feet never hurt once in over 140 miles. I felt like I was walking on a trampoline since I am used to a non cushioned shoe. The width is what sold me on the Olympus. I have never hiked so far without having hot spots on my little toes or the side of my foot. As long as Altra doesn't narrow this shoe like they have all their others I will now only be wearing the Olympus on my hiking adventures. Thank you Altra for making a shoe wide enough for a woman's foot. Please Altra do not make any of the future Olympus narrower or make the toe box narrower!
