I like it so far for winter. Garment is comfortable and warm. I'm not sure about durability yet. I'll need to wear it and wash it over time to determine this.

This merino base layer is a must-have for skiing and hiking! It's lightweight yet incredibly warm, with excellent moisture-wicking to keep me dry during intense activity. The fabric is soft and non-itchy, making it super comfortable for all-day wear. It regulates temperature perfectly, keeping me cozy in the cold and cool during warmer moments. Hands down, the best investment for outdoor adventures!

I purchased several of these because they fit so many needs. Power walking, hiking, cycling and sleeping. They are comfortable, warm and breathable. I have not found a GREAT 1/4 zip merino, since First Ascent stopped making theirs, 10+ years ago.. EXCELLENT !!!

This is my third Base layer, they are fit to the body with great neck protection provided by the extended collar. Great under a jacket or a vest in the winter or just over a t-shirt or a mid-layer in the fall and spring, or a cool night.

I like the weight of this for fall and winter. I can layer it with a med- weight jacket for warm comfort.

Base layer one of the two. Is the next to most. Doesn't itch and soft. Classic design. VERY warm.

Comfortable, stayed fresh on an active vacation. The fit is great, especially for my long arms. It's coming on all my trips.

I wear Smartwool 1/4 Zips for Biking, Running, Trekking & Golfing in cool & cold temps (20-60 FLT). The feel of Merino wool is soft. It keeps my core body warm & resists odor. The odor resistance is simply amazing! The 1/4 Zip design allows for ventilation on hard climbs & a sealed fit on descents. Very durable I have had the 1/4 zips for years.

The base layer is a gift for my son, but I also love my SW base layers and shortsleeved tops for Spring, Summer and Fall. Skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, etc. and Smartwool is our favorite brand. Socks too for the whole family!

Such a good product. Great for cold weather activity. Keeps you warm but doesn't get wet from sweat.

This classic thermal merino base layer is incredibly comfortable and offers excellent breathability and warmth, perfect for outdoor activities. The 1/4 zip design allows for easy temperature adjustment, and the attention to detail in the craftsmanship is impressive. Whether for hiking or everyday wear, it's a great choice and highly recommended!

I bought for husband. Right now it is a little cool in the house so he's just lounging in it. It is easy to throw a jacket over it and head out for errands

I've only had a chance to wear this once, but it was perfect: kept me warm but not sweaty on a 10-mile run along a waterfront on a 40-degree day with 15 MPH winds. Could easily have tolerated 30-degrees without adding any additional layers. This will clearly become a winter-run staple.

Smartwool base layers are a must-have for chilly days on the slopes. I love the neckline as it adds a bit more protection from the elements than the normal crew neck.

My husband loves these Merino layers. He wears them almost everyday. This is the second time I've purchased them for him.

I purchased a small after returning the medium, and the small fits much better on my 5'6" frame. The torso is a bit long for my liking, but have worn it as a base on a few rides and functions great. Not too bulky, and the zip allows for some decent airflow when it is getting warm.

I purchased a medium, but returned it. If i saw that the model who was 6' was wearing a medium, I would have got the small right from the start (I'm 5'6")
